Do you know the story behind her awesome talent? She has always been singing, but when she was 20 years old and newly married she got cancer in her stomach and had to go through several operation. Because of this, she can never have children. But being member of the church she got people praying for her, and she survived the cancer.
Because of this she sees her life a gift from God, and she wanted to dedicate her life and singing to Him. She said she wants her singing to comfort people who are in pain, telling them “I see you- I’ve been there”. She has since then almost exclusively been singing at churches at home and abroad, at charity events, or events to honor other artist - meaningful events, and avoided taking part in the big music industry. She has been contacted many times by international managers who could help her getting famous here in the West (she is famous in Asia, despite her limited performances), but she has always refused.
Now she is about 40 years old (she looks so much younger!) and the last few years she has been participating in South Korean music contests on TV. When she first started singing on these TV shows she was very conflicted if this was the right thing to do. But then she saw a woman in the audience crying while she was singing, and she realised that her calling was to reach out to everyone who is hurting, not just people in church. ❤️
She not only has an outstanding talent and the most beautiful voice, her singing touches people in a way that is hard to explain, a gift from above.
She had uterine cancer, not stomach cancer

And she always ends up making me question if terms like 'cover' 'rendition' were just made up to convey a derogatory meaning coz it honestly feels so with her performances
She pretty much breaks down the original and builts it up like only she can while still retaining the essence and the message of the song, it's seriously mind boggling how she manages to do it everytime and is the reason why I can't help look her up atleast once everyday to see if there's a new video out
While I love her originals as well esp. Dream, The day sunshine kissed me and The song begins but it'd be s dream come true if she ever starts a UA-cam channel where she occasionally puts out covers and stuff coz I really want to hear her take on all my fav songs ;)

Thank you, I might use this next time, but the problem is that MBC along with some other Korean Broadcast companies have their own priorities and some things just don't apply to them even when it was passed by the law, their have their own standards there, so I'm not even go to try again, I've been through this a lot before I even had this channel, it just doesn't work with them lol I lost two channels before, to explain more shortly :) So to make this video watchable for you guys, I will have to do this, if I do another reaction of their show, sorry. I hope you still enjoyed it.

Yep that first Bb5 because of its wide vibrato is in B5-C6 range and B5 in the original version is C#6 which is not a problem for Sohyang lol 😂😂😂

So Hyang says she is not interesting in selling record , making money and she said that sings for God. 2) when you upload show the source (Link Address )of the mv you react to. Like most people does. Yes, cause if that was done on purpose it was like she was just watching a non-Sohyang performance. It's hard to feel it since the voice is modified. The impression will never be the same.
