Nice video; I flew the Concorde simulator last year at Brooklands with a group of former Concorde pilots including Mike Bannister. It was a great evening; just a pity I never experienced a real flight in this wonderful aircraft. I believe Gordon you were working the computer on the simulator that day.
Concorde was truly superb,the curvature of the earth out the window was a spectacular sight.Alas the skies no longer give us the sight of her or the delicate thunder of her arriving in regal style.A true icon.
Fantastic video=) Wish I had the chance to experience supersonic travel. However I was able to go to Edinburgh airport on the last day of operations to see the very last Concorde takeoff from Scotland. Many emotional people there that day=) I remember it like it was yesterday.
I too was fortunate enought to fly Concorde - albeit on a BA staff concession ticket! LHR - JFK on a Saturday JFK - LHR - next day (Sunday)! Seems like just a dream to me now, but your video sure brought back some memories. Thanks for posting this....where's part 2?
@TonyFirelli No. The Tu was never fit for service. This Concorde invention served her lifespan, transporting humans, in leisurewear, at enormous altitudes, with complete ease. The Russians never came close.
@TonyFirelli Early flights in scheduled service indicated the Tu-144S was extremely unreliable. During 102 flights and 181 hours of scheduled freight and passenger flight time, the Tu-144S suffered at least 226 failures, 80 of them in flight. Taken from Wikipedia. Does the TU-144 seem such a "great" plane now?
No, Rocket was the nick name BA staff fondly referred to the plane - since it flew faster then a rifle bullet - I fact they called my flight from the lounge “ Rocket 188, now ready to board - was the Washington DC flight
@TonyFirelli haha loll. well i know that a wing tore apart at Paris air show and i know that another crashed because of a fuel leak. And know that it was taken out of commercial service (in commercial service for just 2 years) because of severe design deficiencies. So i would call that a disaster of a plane. I know they rushed the design to beat Concorde into the air. That's the only thing it achieved and hence why it had severe design flaws.
Being a Ramp Agent. I'D Taken Serious Pride in Working this Everyday..I wouldn't Care How Many or Heavy the bags were....Lucky Ramp Bastards in LHR lol...I'm Uber Jelious..
@HotChilliSquirrel Well if you got that from Wiki.. Hah, my friend got banned from there because they didn't like the real truth he put up there, and they removed what they didn't like.
@teemas10 Well your spelling shows low education... Other than that, The only problem the Tu-144 suffered were engines other then that it was a perfect plane like a concorde. and the crash at Paris has high possibility of a sabotage, many agreed.

Oh wow. What a sleek, futuristic plane.

anybody have a copy of concorde's timetables? I want to see them...
I want to know both songs.
A version without the music would be amazing
@iu2bibys It was £4000 single .. = £8000 return, or sometimes less.
Which is the name of the music in the 3:00 ?
Also sprach Zarathustra
Melrose Brown 2001 a space odyssey ending music
@TonyFirelli
What means "rocket class"? First class?
Lev Asmanov prob what he called a Concorde flight
No, Rocket was the nick name
BA staff fondly referred to the plane - since it flew faster then a rifle bullet - I fact they called my flight from the lounge “ Rocket 188, now ready to board - was the Washington DC flight
what happened to the Concorde lounge was it taken down?
Jack Sadler It’s now used as a first class lounge
Around $10000 round trip near the end of service.
was this last flight of concord?
more than$10000 id say but not sure how much more
I thought the Concorde was illegal in the us because of the sonic boom
GhostBustersRule1 That's why it only flew across the Atlantic.
Wasn't illegal in the US. Just wasn't allowed to go at supersonic speeds overland.

@teemas10 Well your spelling shows low education... Other than that, The only problem the Tu-144 suffered were engines other then that it was a perfect plane like a concorde. and the crash at Paris has high possibility of a sabotage, many agreed.
@teemas10 Well obviously you havent watched documentaries and just pulled that out of your fan-boy head...
You should have played Chariots of fire instead of this annoying music.
