There's so many games out there to play, find one you find enjoyable. I personally enjoy Dead By Daylight, so I will keep playing the game. And if you do find DBD enjoyable but feel so negative about it, take a break for a few months. You might feel better about the game state in a few months.

@@yasminchan7425 There's no confirmation if they ever truly do, could always be happenstance, unlikely but it'd be what they posed. If they genuinely listened to him we'd have a significantly more balanced game, potentially not perfectly balanced if everything came into line but far better. We have too many killers that struggle to do anything and both killer and survivors have far too many perks that are just dead in the water in terms of usefulness.
Otz, I've noticed in the past you usually make older killer/perk/add-on tier lists private when you release an updated version of those videos, but I'd really enjoy having them just unlisted and collected in a playlist so we can go back and revisit the game's history from past years. Would you ever consider doing that?

No, that's not the best because he said wraith is C tier 🤣🤣 I love how he is underrated. I don't count my winstreaks but i think i have 990 wins for 1000 matches with him. If you hit and run like Hexy with Eruption, Jolt, Sloppy and Enduring. You slug if you damage a generator with Jolt or Eruption for hits. He is "S" tier in public matches, and maybe B tier against 4 big tryhards devotion 50.

I feel like Onryo herself is very underpowered - however, her skill ceiling is overwhelmingly high. We've seen this with Once Pump Willie, a beyond-amazing Onryo main. Personally, I agree with Otz overall here but I feel like Onryo specifically needs the skill ceiling thought in too.
Teleporting to TV's non-stop and using the two best add-ons to build up condemned isn't skillful at all, it's brainless and boring for BOTH sides. One pump willie isn't doing anything special, just taking advantage of a stupid mechanic regarding condemnation.
Crohmbs is an absolute machine on wesker I didn’t think wesker was too good when I played him or against him in my games and level but he makes wesker look like one of the scariest killers to go against it’s so amazing how good he is he really changed my view on wesker.
A thing to note with Ghostface is that some of his cosmetics can detriment him slightly. Namely, the ones with the tendrils. While I am a fan of the flowy tendrils, they can (and most likely will) get spotted when you're hiding or blending in, as the human eye picks up movement very easily. A couple masks are also a tiny bit detrimental. Namely, the Classic and 'flowing gore' masks. They are a very bright white compared to the default's more worn/muted white, making it easier to see. This isn't terrible though, and it will only hinder you once in a long while.
Yeah, his recent Knight vs Skull Merchant video showcased that pretty well, but I wouldn't say she's on the same level as Blight and Nurse unfortunately

I've watched this video in it's entirety 3 times now. Technically I haven't finished it a single time because I usually doze off. I can't help it. Otz just has a very relaxing voice. He's got that voice that makes you feel like you've known him forever. Like he's that really cool neighbor who's always been helpful to the entire neighborhood and everyone just enjoys his presence.
Spirit's passive glitching is something that scares me about her too, I never know if she's gonna mindgame or continue the current direction when that passive effect occurs

Wish Demo's portals got a small buff. There's games where I barely use them or don't use them at all because they don't help a lot on certain maps. Even when I watch some streamers play some of them don't use them at all. I think a speed buff to placing and going through a portal would make them more useful. I also think if the undetectable effect went from 2s to 5s and made you 100% silent (no epic Demo sounds,footsteps) They would be a lot more useful. Since right now if you're in undetectable survivors can still hear your killer sounds. Also make some interesting portal addons. The only addon you see Demo's run around portals is leprose lichen which I still don't see often because shred addons are more consistent. And no I won't be talking about the whistle addon which is basically only good for 3 gen, hex totems. Also REMOVE INVISIBLE WALLS. Demo would be a lot better with these changes imo.

Great video with great advice and it's great to see a big content creator showing that skull isn't all bad and that fact she has funner play styles then just 3 gen aslo as a skull merchant main it's great to see people given advice to play her better
Fr. I have been a Skull Merchant advocate since her launch. I always thought there was more depth to her kit than people gave her credit for, even though I personally couldn’t figure it out I knew it was there.
Well yeah, she's not weak by any means but she's both frustrating to play and frustrating to play against. She's a really weird character where both sides feel like the game is unwinnable at times it's really funny tbh.

Another factor with Trickster that is very unfortunate: just by virtue of his power being sometimes not that lethal is you have to learn and really, really perfect being a 110 M1 killer. It's not as bad as you would think, but it's certainly not great. Lots of loops are chases you simply can't win if you pull out your power, and you can't drop every chase forever, so you have to learn how to just win painful loops slower than normal.
I really appreciate you making sure people remember that all the killers are viable and you should just pick what you enjoy. So many people get caught up in trying to validate their place when they pick a killer and watch a list like this. People forget you can have horrible players using nurse and amazing players using trapper, so a reminder to folks to just relax and understand this list isn’t an interrogation of someone’s decision of who to main is wonderful and a breath of fresh air compared to how absolutist the community can feel at times.
Yeah I main Trickster just because I find him fun, and tier lists like these always have me going "Should I change my main..?" When the reality is I just don't enjoy other killers as much

I think Plague is the best designed Killer in the game. Her power is strong but fair and her fountains give survivors a means of dealing with it, but which can also be used against them later. She's also the highest-tier Killer who doesn't have absurd speed boosts to end chases and clear the map (Nurse, Blight, Spirit). On top of all that, her lore and character design are fantastic.
She is great but I think Blight is much more fun, many more "techs" and flicks possible and the speed is just satisfying. Plague can be dealt with by being very witty with cleansing ( always in dead zones or cleansing at all fountains to drain them).
It feels a little soon for another Killer Tier list but I'm always here for more great Otz content. Unfortunately does not beat the Charms Tier List in terms of quality but that's ok, it's hard to improve perfection.
@@lady8823 Killer has got some nasty nerfs as of late. Both sides have been hit pretty hard. The game isn't really either sided at the moment and getting angry at killers for it is a you problem. Without the killers, there is no game in the first place.
Wraith is a weird anomaly because while I understand and agree with your arguments about why he's average, he's also the character I consistently get the best results with. He's honestly one of my best killers and I can't really explain why.
Scott Jund also has very good success with Wraith, see his video "My Highest Winstreak Killer" as well as the follow-up videos. I think a lot of people underrate the value of Wraith's mobility, ambush, anti-loop, and consistency.
Yeah I was a bit disappointed that Otz didn't go a little more into the Wraith's add-on's instead of generalizing most of them by their percentage. His Iridescent add-ons can be absolutely sinister and destroy a team, and even his Ghost add-on, which is brown, can disorient someone looping him since it completely gets rid of his terror radius and red stain for a few seconds coming out of cloak, which combined with his speed boost can make it unsafe for even a survivor camping a pallet. There's also the fact that the Wraith has the highest grab potential off of generators and getting a grab and a hook in the beginning of a match can save so much time. I've started plenty of matches getting a grab from a generator and an early hook, and with not much progress on the generator, it can pretty much revert back to zero progress very quickly without any perks speeding up the regression. I can understand why Otz may think that the Wraith doesn't have that much potential, considering he was one of the first killers, but he definitely deserves more love.
These DBD YT/Twitch elitists go off of the absolute top of the top play in the game, with the perfect perks on in a vacuum. Always been the problem with video game tier lists, and when the devs start listening to them things go off the rails (see League of Legends). This is a game with a very big gap between the top players and the average players. Especially on survivor. There is so much margin for error on survivor. Onryo, Wraith, and Meyers are guaranteed 2 kill killers in pubs, even if youre rated high gold and beyond. I cant remember the last time i fully escaped a Wraith. You need 4 very competent survivors on comms with constant communication and the best perks to escape a Wraith that even kind of knows what hes doing. And then on the other hand, I escape Nurses probably 4/5 to 5/6 games. Thid DBD "pro" world is so foreign to me and the average players experience.

I think a good change to sadako would be making it so that survivors with a certain amount of condemnation (like 3-4 or something) hear the lullaby by default which would encourage survivors to mess with her T.V.s, meaning that they may gain more condemnation and act as passive slowdown as well as increase her ability as a stealth killer.
I think a great change is making the co demn build basekit (with some balance changes obv) because yknow. Lore accurate, she needs it and it makes fucking sense gameplay wise. If you dont run that build there is no reason to interact with her tvs.

The Trapper could benefit from an additional trap type. Maybe a tripwire net or something. Just another option that would force players to think twice and check the environment more carefully.
Yes! A snare or something at least. Maybe he can have a shot gun trap he needs to collect parts for (3) and places on a wall. If it's triggered takes a health state and some effects or something. If there are a variety of traps that can go on different surfaces he will be a lot better off.
I see so many people asking for a buff for the trapper but buffing him will cause many complications, remember that the trapper was created for the horror aspect of the game not the gen rushing, toxic teams, annoying loops etc. his ability is teaching killers to roam a map and think of the best places to place a trap. He is also made for noobs, his power has to be simple and easy to understand for both killer and survivors. My point is, complicated powers for noob survivors and noob killers would give them a hell of a time understanding how it works and how to use it efficiently. and ask yourself a question, if the devs decided to completly rework the trapper, why not just make a new PAID killer with the remade ability instead of reworking a FREE killer that will not generate any revenue ?

You play trapper well by knowing map layouts, knowing loops and how players will run them, and also just suffers from being bad (terrible early game, M1 killer). Also you think the devs wouldn’t rework a killer because the killer is free? Doctor, Hillbilly, Wraith (was not exactly reworked but has undergone big changes). Not to mention you have other “free killers” you get with iri shards.
One would be surprised how much of nurse's difficulty comes from the secret fifth survivor trying to kill itself the entire game: The Killer's POV during blinks. Seriously, this is motion sickness central right here, and after seeing Dredge's camera while inside a locker, there kind of isnt an excuse.
Wraith main here, I definitely feel that Wraith's versatility *should* put him higher up because his ceiling is way higher than most people realize. The fact that you're one of the fastest killers in the game and able to get extremely close to survivors without alerting them is a huge asset. Because of this, Wraith plays off of his builds better than almost any killer in the game, and you can get away with SO much more perk variety than most other killers can, which can make it almost impossible for survivors to break your perk synergy. That, and cloaking after first hit is a really underutilized tool that can cause chaos even when survivors are coordinating, especially if you're unpredictable and sometimes leave chase entirely. All that said, I'm happy if Wraith is more "sneaky strong" than just strong. Makes things a little easier for me :P Happy gaming, y'all!

Solo-queuing against Shape was one of my favourite times with DBD back in the day. It was genuinely frightening. And now here we are, thousands of better tier'd killers later.
With Nemesis use your zombies for information purposes, Zombies will lock onto a survivor if they are in there range and there arms will go up and they will start walking and looking in the direction of the survivor, if a survivor isn’t near them/in there range then the arms of the zombie will be down to its side, look for that little detail when looking at your zombies and you’ll get some easy information off of it even if your zombies are in a bad location all the time (I hope you see this and hope it helps have a great day)

It's a given for ghostface players that some gens will be in bad areas, sometimes theyll be hard to sneak up on, other times you can't really stalk them. One can learn to play around these and choose a sequence of downs that eventually lead to hook stages being skipped. Stalk angles are just meant to broaden your selection of gens. I'm surprised you found my album though
Wraith jumped up big with the removal of lightburn. Medkit changes make wraith's ambush addon that does mangle/hemm (sloppy as an addon? yes please) stronger. He's certainly not perfect but he's definitely stronger than you'd think just for the ability to cross maps and ditch chase for better targets with less lost time, move-speed is incredibly important. ol' phil is in the best state he's been since... ever. Now that his disgustingly unfair weakness has been removed he's finally free to be fairly compared with other character choices.
I’ve been saying this, Wraith in my opinion is 100% an above average killer who absolutely destroys uncoordinated teams (so 80% of your matches essentially)
i'd personally put Billy's map dependency as being high - the extent to which the curvability of objects and the openness of a map can be the difference between having one of the strongest map control/chase powers in the game and having no power at all is pretty insane. especially with recent changes, the only addons that really exist for him anymore are double engravings or doom + lopro, and those addons are MASSIVELY map dependent imo. i dont think the extent to which deathslinger can GIGA tunnel is really pointed out enough. you can shoot someone quite quickly after they're unhooked and just hold them hostage until basekit BT is over. he doesn't have an innate ability to tunnel quite as much as pyramid head who can just ignore perks entirely, but in terms of getting one person out of the game as quickly as possible he's pretty insane at it.
If I had a nickel for every time Otz got a surprise hit on Cheryl over cow tree window in this video, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice (50:0856:40)
I find this tier list could change a lot for console player. As a console player some of the killer become really hard to use with the controller (ex. Flick with oni, sniping with huntress..) and i'm curious if one day you may do a shorter video with the modified tier list and the reasons behind the differences for every killer
I think they should have trapper spawn with 4 traps but after he places them he can hold a max of 2 unless you use the green addon. They should also make his traps slightly darker but not too dark to where you cant see them.
Another cool thing you can do with the knight is block pallets, because as long as on of your guards is currently busy breaking it, survivors can't vault it Considering the guards (except big boy) take ages to break pallets you can trap survivors like that if you do it right by just sending your guard to break the pallet and creating an artificial unexpected dead end for the survivor
You know, I mostly use my guards for patrolling because I run Nowhere to Hide and I don’t like going around pallets, but with this tip when I’m being looped around a pallet and the ones Otz gave, I think I just might change that up

Her weakness in chase is only mediated by her power to stall gens, yes, but with the small rework to her power, death of gen-kicking perks, and nerfs to medkits and a few other survivor perks, she can thrive; albeit she needs A LOT of investment to play her. Unless you play three gen with her, which is now less viable with the reasons mentioned above. I just hope people pick her up with the intent of playing her through her small chase-oriented rework, and not just stand by a three gen for an hour.
We all know that Otz had thousands of hours into DbD, but i wonder if he will ever check out other assymetrical multiplayer games. Recently i got burned out from DbD and started playing Identity V and their killers (Called Hunters) have such a different design mindset, they are so varied yet so unique that is widly refreshing to see, it's a shame that they aren't really a threat to DbD so that Behaviour would pay more attention to DbD's issues. I hope that Otz check out that game at one point because the Hunters there are so much fun to play.
wish when u played nurse survivors went back to old healing... she's such a strong snowball killer, the only way to beat her is to stay healthy. Can't heal after the 1st hit and can't deadhard the 2nd hit, if she's half decent and commits to a chase ur guaranteed to go down fast now. Don't think BHVR meant to buff nurse this much lmao I've found nurses so much harder to play against than any other killer since the healing nerf
They just need to significantly nerf her. She makes balancing perks/gameplay mechanics abysmal and is, in my opinion, the least fun to play against killer in the game.

His hitbox and fov is so dumb. Like you said, can't hit survivors when you pounce into a crowd of them, but hits a little rock or barrel and instantly dies.

Oreo is A-B tier with her condemned playstyle but the average player cannot play well with her and many find this playstyle boring and frustrating from the survivor side.
Love the graph system you've used for this tierlist. I always thought it would be nice to be able to visualise the discrepancy of effectiveness that certain killers have depending on what addons they're running or what map they're playing on.
Trapper rework idea: Traps are no longer spawned around the map at the start of the trial. Increase max carried trap count from 2 to 3. Trapper can refill his traps at lockers up to a maximum of 12 on the map at once. Beartraps are now completely invisible outside of 6 meters, within 6 meters the traps will shimmer (like invis wraith). This makes it nearly impossible to avoid traps while in chase and make it harder to run around the map and trigger all of them instead survivors must methodically wander around looking for them. Stepping on a trap as a survivor now causes 5% hindered until fully healed or downed and mangled. This will make it more punishing for survivors steping on traps far away from trapper so if they do escape they are still debuffed, the mangled allows the trapper to potentially find the recently trapped survivor healing. Bloody coil rework: Disarming a trap while healthy causes the survivor to become injured, disarming a trap while injured causes the survivor to receive deepwound and 5% hinder until fully healed or downed. Trapper Sack: no longer has a downside however traps will still be capped at 3 once traps are placed. Coffee grounds are now basekit and the addon now increases the 5% haste to 10% after setting a trap. New purple addon idea "Trick Gears" "Intuitive design of the spring mechanism has made the traps resilient to tampering": When a trap is disarmed it has a 50% chance to reset itself after 10 seconds. New green addon idea "Heavy Jaws" "The jaws of the trap were given heavy weights causing it to shatter the victims bones": Hindered from traps is now 9% until fully healed or downed. Escaping from a trap by yourself now takes 16 seconds but it is guaranteed to release you, this removes some of the rng and garentees at least some value of wasting the survivors time even if you cant reach him. The trapper receives a 5% haste when a survivor is caught in a trap, this should help trapper get to the survivor or at least help in a chase if the trapper is busy. These are just some of my ideas to make him viable even though he will still probably be weaker compared to other killers.
also, thought just occurred to me, maybe people can start talking about skill floors with killers as well as their ceilings. like, nurse obviously has a higher than normal skill floor because you'll do bad with her at first, but once you get your footing on how to use her, then the sky's the limit. Billy, however, has a low skill floor, being easily usable by anyone, but it takes skill to get good with using him.
Because this clown doesn't main a certain killer, go follow other killer mains that actually know the ins & outs of every killer. This kid is so mainstream it's a cliche.
Tips from a Skull Merchant main: Hit-and-Run is one of the best playstyles for her, your biggest weakness is lengthy chases which allows Survivors to disable your drones and stop your information-gathering and gen-pressure. If a Survivor is running you on a good loop, 9/10 times it’s better to leave them and pressure elsewhere. The 3-gen game is powerful, but don’t overrely on it. It’s boring for everyone involved, and should only really be used as a last resort option if the game is going by very quickly. Place drones on high progress gens and damage them, forcing them to either enter the drone radius, disable the drone, or go work on another gen and allow that gen to regress. The drones are good for more than holding a 3-gen, they’re better as points of pressure and area denial. Though it may seem useless at first glance, the Shotgun Speakers add-on is very good for Skull Merchant play. They make it harder to push through a drone’s Expose and complete a gen since you don’t have any skill-check notifications, much better than effects like blindness, exhaustion, etc. Some Survivors will try this anyway, potentially giving you a lot more time to end a chase and pressure them off the gen as they’ll likely miss more than one skill check and lose a decent chunk of progress. It also forces Survivors to get rid of the drone, giving you Haste and tracking. My current build which I’ve had a good amount of success on is this: Pop Goes the Weasel (gen regression) Hex: Plaything (extra objectives and good stealth/surprise potential) Bamboozle (closes off vaults, which are very good against her) Deadlock (gen stalling) Then I used the Shotgun Speakers and High Current Upgrade add-ons to make the drones even more of a threat and apply more pressure to high-progress gens.

It took nerfing Twins for like the second or third time for him to be like, "I don't know why the devs do what they do. Why do they nerf Twins add-ons when they're already low tier?" Him being laser focused on Pinhead's one add-on that can counter base BT and Dead Hard is very telling.

I say this to Yu-Gi-Oh! players- if you aren't enjoying the game, stop playing the game. The point of games and the entertainment industry is to enjoy yourself. There's so many games out there to play, find one you find enjoyable. I personally enjoy Dead By Daylight, so I will keep playing the game. And if you do find DBD enjoyable but feel so negative about it, take a break for a few months. You might feel better about the game state in a few months.

If they genuinely listened to him we'd have a significantly more balanced game, potentially not perfectly balanced if everything came into line but far better. We have too many killers that struggle to do anything and both killer and survivors have far too many perks that are just dead in the water in terms of usefulness.

I don't count my winstreaks but i think i have 990 wins for 1000 matches with him. If you hit and run like Hexy with Eruption, Jolt, Sloppy and Enduring. You slug if you damage a generator with Jolt or Eruption for hits.
He is "S" tier in public matches, and maybe B tier against 4 big tryhards devotion 50.

I feel like Onryo herself is very underpowered - however, her skill ceiling is overwhelmingly high. We've seen this with Once Pump Willie, a beyond-amazing Onryo main. Personally, I agree with Otz overall here but I feel like Onryo specifically needs the skill ceiling thought in too.

I would also put in a high map dependency for Onryo. Put her in a multi-level indoor map like midwich or RPD and her power level goes up a lot.

Teleporting to TV's non-stop and using the two best add-ons to build up condemned isn't skillful at all, it's brainless and boring for BOTH sides. One pump willie isn't doing anything special, just taking advantage of a stupid mechanic regarding condemnation.
Crohmbs is an absolute machine on wesker I didn’t think wesker was too good when I played him or against him in my games and level but he makes wesker look like one of the scariest killers to go against it’s so amazing how good he is he really changed my view on wesker.
A thing to note with Ghostface is that some of his cosmetics can detriment him slightly. Namely, the ones with the tendrils. While I am a fan of the flowy tendrils, they can (and most likely will) get spotted when you're hiding or blending in, as the human eye picks up movement very easily. A couple masks are also a tiny bit detrimental. Namely, the Classic and 'flowing gore' masks. They are a very bright white compared to the default's more worn/muted white, making it easier to see.
This isn't terrible though, and it will only hinder you once in a long while.

I've watched this video in it's entirety 3 times now. Technically I haven't finished it a single time because I usually doze off. I can't help it. Otz just has a very relaxing voice. He's got that voice that makes you feel like you've known him forever. Like he's that really cool neighbor who's always been helpful to the entire neighborhood and everyone just enjoys his presence.

Wish Demo's portals got a small buff.
There's games where I barely use them or don't use them at all because they don't help a lot on certain maps. Even when I watch some streamers play some of them don't use them at all.
I think a speed buff to placing and going through a portal would make them more useful.
I also think if the undetectable effect went from 2s to 5s and made you 100% silent (no epic Demo sounds,footsteps)
They would be a lot more useful.
Since right now if you're in undetectable survivors can still hear your killer sounds.
Also make some interesting portal addons.
The only addon you see Demo's run around portals is leprose lichen which I still don't see often because shred addons are more consistent.
And no I won't be talking about the whistle addon which is basically only good for 3 gen, hex totems.
Also REMOVE INVISIBLE WALLS.

Another factor with Trickster that is very unfortunate: just by virtue of his power being sometimes not that lethal is you have to learn and really, really perfect being a 110 M1 killer. It's not as bad as you would think, but it's certainly not great. Lots of loops are chases you simply can't win if you pull out your power, and you can't drop every chase forever, so you have to learn how to just win painful loops slower than normal.
I really appreciate you making sure people remember that all the killers are viable and you should just pick what you enjoy. So many people get caught up in trying to validate their place when they pick a killer and watch a list like this. People forget you can have horrible players using nurse and amazing players using trapper, so a reminder to folks to just relax and understand this list isn’t an interrogation of someone’s decision of who to main is wonderful and a breath of fresh air compared to how absolutist the community can feel at times.

I think Plague is the best designed Killer in the game. Her power is strong but fair and her fountains give survivors a means of dealing with it, but which can also be used against them later. She's also the highest-tier Killer who doesn't have absurd speed boosts to end chases and clear the map (Nurse, Blight, Spirit). On top of all that, her lore and character design are fantastic.
I just don't get it. She seems like a normall M1 killer to me.

She is great but I think Blight is much more fun, many more "techs" and flicks possible and the speed is just satisfying. Plague can be dealt with by being very witty with cleansing ( always in dead zones or cleansing at all fountains to drain them).
It feels a little soon for another Killer Tier list but I'm always here for more great Otz content.
Unfortunately does not beat the Charms Tier List in terms of quality but that's ok, it's hard to improve perfection.
With the meta changes killer viability has been shaken up a good bit. Ive actually been hoping for something like this.

Wraith is a weird anomaly because while I understand and agree with your arguments about why he's average, he's also the character I consistently get the best results with. He's honestly one of my best killers and I can't really explain why.
Scott Jund also has very good success with Wraith, see his video "My Highest Winstreak Killer" as well as the follow-up videos.
I think a lot of people underrate the value of Wraith's mobility, ambush, anti-loop, and consistency.
Yeah I was a bit disappointed that Otz didn't go a little more into the Wraith's add-on's instead of generalizing most of them by their percentage. His Iridescent add-ons can be absolutely sinister and destroy a team, and even his Ghost add-on, which is brown, can disorient someone looping him since it completely gets rid of his terror radius and red stain for a few seconds coming out of cloak, which combined with his speed boost can make it unsafe for even a survivor camping a pallet. There's also the fact that the Wraith has the highest grab potential off of generators and getting a grab and a hook in the beginning of a match can save so much time. I've started plenty of matches getting a grab from a generator and an early hook, and with not much progress on the generator, it can pretty much revert back to zero progress very quickly without any perks speeding up the regression. I can understand why Otz may think that the Wraith doesn't have that much potential, considering he was one of the first killers, but he definitely deserves more love.
I feel that way with certain killers , I'm an extremely good Clown and usually win the majority of the time . Alot easier than Twins or hag
These DBD YT/Twitch elitists go off of the absolute top of the top play in the game, with the perfect perks on in a vacuum. Always been the problem with video game tier lists, and when the devs start listening to them things go off the rails (see League of Legends). This is a game with a very big gap between the top players and the average players. Especially on survivor. There is so much margin for error on survivor.
Onryo, Wraith, and Meyers are guaranteed 2 kill killers in pubs, even if youre rated high gold and beyond. I cant remember the last time i fully escaped a Wraith. You need 4 very competent survivors on comms with constant communication and the best perks to escape a Wraith that even kind of knows what hes doing.
And then on the other hand, I escape Nurses probably 4/5 to 5/6 games. Thid DBD "pro" world is so foreign to me and the average players experience.

The fact Otz takes hours to make a video for a tier-list just shows how dedicated and passionate he still about the game. you gotta respect that!
I think a good change to sadako would be making it so that survivors with a certain amount of condemnation (like 3-4 or something) hear the lullaby by default which would encourage survivors to mess with her T.V.s, meaning that they may gain more condemnation and act as passive slowdown as well as increase her ability as a stealth killer.
I think a great change is making the co demn build basekit (with some balance changes obv) because yknow. Lore accurate, she needs it and it makes fucking sense gameplay wise. If you dont run that build there is no reason to interact with her tvs.

The Trapper could benefit from an additional trap type. Maybe a tripwire net or something. Just another option that would force players to think twice and check the environment more carefully.
*THIS.* I've been saying for *YEARS* now that Trapper needs access to a variety of traps.
Yes! A snare or something at least. Maybe he can have a shot gun trap he needs to collect parts for (3) and places on a wall. If it's triggered takes a health state and some effects or something. If there are a variety of traps that can go on different surfaces he will be a lot better off.
For sure, Trapper is one of the most outdated killers in the game and needs some more abilities other than just placing traps.
I see so many people asking for a buff for the trapper but buffing him will cause many complications, remember that the trapper was created for the horror aspect of the game not the gen rushing, toxic teams, annoying loops etc. his ability is teaching killers to roam a map and think of the best places to place a trap. He is also made for noobs, his power has to be simple and easy to understand for both killer and survivors. My point is, complicated powers for noob survivors and noob killers would give them a hell of a time understanding how it works and how to use it efficiently. and ask yourself a question, if the devs decided to completly rework the trapper, why not just make a new PAID killer with the remade ability instead of reworking a FREE killer that will not generate any revenue ?

You play trapper well by knowing map layouts, knowing loops and how players will run them, and also just suffers from being bad (terrible early game, M1 killer). Also you think the devs wouldn’t rework a killer because the killer is free? Doctor, Hillbilly, Wraith (was not exactly reworked but has undergone big changes). Not to mention you have other “free killers” you get with iri shards.

Wraith main here, I definitely feel that Wraith's versatility *should* put him higher up because his ceiling is way higher than most people realize. The fact that you're one of the fastest killers in the game and able to get extremely close to survivors without alerting them is a huge asset. Because of this, Wraith plays off of his builds better than almost any killer in the game, and you can get away with SO much more perk variety than most other killers can, which can make it almost impossible for survivors to break your perk synergy. That, and cloaking after first hit is a really underutilized tool that can cause chaos even when survivors are coordinating, especially if you're unpredictable and sometimes leave chase entirely.
All that said, I'm happy if Wraith is more "sneaky strong" than just strong. Makes things a little easier for me :P Happy gaming, y'all!

Solo-queuing against Shape was one of my favourite times with DBD back in the day. It was genuinely frightening. And now here we are, thousands of better tier'd killers later.
With Nemesis use your zombies for information purposes, Zombies will lock onto a survivor if they are in there range and there arms will go up and they will start walking and looking in the direction of the survivor, if a survivor isn’t near them/in there range then the arms of the zombie will be down to its side, look for that little detail when looking at your zombies and you’ll get some easy information off of it even if your zombies are in a bad location all the time (I hope you see this and hope it helps have a great day)

It's a given for ghostface players that some gens will be in bad areas, sometimes theyll be hard to sneak up on, other times you can't really stalk them. One can learn to play around these and choose a sequence of downs that eventually lead to hook stages being skipped. Stalk angles are just meant to broaden your selection of gens. I'm surprised you found my album though

Wraith jumped up big with the removal of lightburn. Medkit changes make wraith's ambush addon that does mangle/hemm (sloppy as an addon? yes please) stronger.
He's certainly not perfect but he's definitely stronger than you'd think just for the ability to cross maps and ditch chase for better targets with less lost time, move-speed is incredibly important.
ol' phil is in the best state he's been since... ever. Now that his disgustingly unfair weakness has been removed he's finally free to be fairly compared with other character choices.
I’ve been saying this, Wraith in my opinion is 100% an above average killer who absolutely destroys uncoordinated teams (so 80% of your matches essentially)
i'd personally put Billy's map dependency as being high - the extent to which the curvability of objects and the openness of a map can be the difference between having one of the strongest map control/chase powers in the game and having no power at all is pretty insane. especially with recent changes, the only addons that really exist for him anymore are double engravings or doom + lopro, and those addons are MASSIVELY map dependent imo.
i dont think the extent to which deathslinger can GIGA tunnel is really pointed out enough. you can shoot someone quite quickly after they're unhooked and just hold them hostage until basekit BT is over. he doesn't have an innate ability to tunnel quite as much as pyramid head who can just ignore perks entirely, but in terms of getting one person out of the game as quickly as possible he's pretty insane at it.

I find this tier list could change a lot for console player. As a console player some of the killer become really hard to use with the controller (ex. Flick with oni, sniping with huntress..) and i'm curious if one day you may do a shorter video with the modified tier list and the reasons behind the differences for every killer
Im a console player, oni is very easy, just really up your sensitivity to beyond 70% and practice flicks on bots and friends, easy wins
I think they should have trapper spawn with 4 traps but after he places them he can hold a max of 2 unless you use the green addon. They should also make his traps slightly darker but not too dark to where you cant see them.

Another cool thing you can do with the knight is block pallets, because as long as on of your guards is currently busy breaking it, survivors can't vault it
Considering the guards (except big boy) take ages to break pallets you can trap survivors like that if you do it right by just sending your guard to break the pallet and creating an artificial unexpected dead end for the survivor
You know, I mostly use my guards for patrolling because I run Nowhere to Hide and I don’t like going around pallets, but with this tip when I’m being looped around a pallet and the ones Otz gave, I think I just might change that up
Glad dredge has benefited from the new update. Skull merchant is also a major surprise. I wouldn’t be surprised if more people pick her up.

Her weakness in chase is only mediated by her power to stall gens, yes, but with the small rework to her power, death of gen-kicking perks, and nerfs to medkits and a few other survivor perks, she can thrive; albeit she needs A LOT of investment to play her. Unless you play three gen with her, which is now less viable with the reasons mentioned above. I just hope people pick her up with the intent of playing her through her small chase-oriented rework, and not just stand by a three gen for an hour.

We all know that Otz had thousands of hours into DbD, but i wonder if he will ever check out other assymetrical multiplayer games. Recently i got burned out from DbD and started playing Identity V and their killers (Called Hunters) have such a different design mindset, they are so varied yet so unique that is widly refreshing to see, it's a shame that they aren't really a threat to DbD so that Behaviour would pay more attention to DbD's issues. I hope that Otz check out that game at one point because the Hunters there are so much fun to play.
This definitely has made me interested in coming back to the game.
For people that wants to get good at Demo, dont play STBFL, dont be scared to try shreds, and you can "curve" Syn cars

wish when u played nurse survivors went back to old healing... she's such a strong snowball killer, the only way to beat her is to stay healthy. Can't heal after the 1st hit and can't deadhard the 2nd hit, if she's half decent and commits to a chase ur guaranteed to go down fast now. Don't think BHVR meant to buff nurse this much lmao I've found nurses so much harder to play against than any other killer since the healing nerf
They just need to significantly nerf her. She makes balancing perks/gameplay mechanics abysmal and is, in my opinion, the least fun to play against killer in the game.

“If you use victor well enough, the survivor will be injured” immediately hits a tree with victor and gets kicked
His hitbox and fov is so dumb. Like you said, can't hit survivors when you pounce into a crowd of them, but hits a little rock or barrel and instantly dies.
Not sure if it's been mentioned but I fully love these tier lists every few months helps people like me who have had a huge break to jump in and know wtf is going on. As well as your website of course :D
I think Onyru and Dredge are underrated. I'm not a super strong survivor but Sadako really shreds.
Oreo is A-B tier with her condemned playstyle but the average player cannot play well with her and many find this playstyle boring and frustrating from the survivor side.
Love the graph system you've used for this tierlist. I always thought it would be nice to be able to visualise the discrepancy of effectiveness that certain killers have depending on what addons they're running or what map they're playing on.
Trapper rework idea: Traps are no longer spawned around the map at the start of the trial. Increase max carried trap count from 2 to 3. Trapper can refill his traps at lockers up to a maximum of 12 on the map at once.
Beartraps are now completely invisible outside of 6 meters, within 6 meters the traps will shimmer (like invis wraith). This makes it nearly impossible to avoid traps while in chase and make it harder to run around the map and trigger all of them instead survivors must methodically wander around looking for them.
Stepping on a trap as a survivor now causes 5% hindered until fully healed or downed and mangled. This will make it more punishing for survivors steping on traps far away from trapper so if they do escape they are still debuffed, the mangled allows the trapper to potentially find the recently trapped survivor healing.
Bloody coil rework: Disarming a trap while healthy causes the survivor to become injured, disarming a trap while injured causes the survivor to receive deepwound and 5% hinder until fully healed or downed.
Trapper Sack: no longer has a downside however traps will still be capped at 3 once traps are placed.
Coffee grounds are now basekit and the addon now increases the 5% haste to 10% after setting a trap.
New purple addon idea "Trick Gears" "Intuitive design of the spring mechanism has made the traps resilient to tampering": When a trap is disarmed it has a 50% chance to reset itself after 10 seconds.
New green addon idea "Heavy Jaws" "The jaws of the trap were given heavy weights causing it to shatter the victims bones": Hindered from traps is now 9% until fully healed or downed.
Escaping from a trap by yourself now takes 16 seconds but it is guaranteed to release you, this removes some of the rng and garentees at least some value of wasting the survivors time even if you cant reach him. The trapper receives a 5% haste when a survivor is caught in a trap, this should help trapper get to the survivor or at least help in a chase if the trapper is busy.
These are just some of my ideas to make him viable even though he will still probably be weaker compared to other killers.
also, thought just occurred to me, maybe people can start talking about skill floors with killers as well as their ceilings. like, nurse obviously has a higher than normal skill floor because you'll do bad with her at first, but once you get your footing on how to use her, then the sky's the limit. Billy, however, has a low skill floor, being easily usable by anyone, but it takes skill to get good with using him.
I play demo so much that I find it strange when he doesn't stay at least in B, he's very good and has tricks that make him even more dangerous
Because this clown doesn't main a certain killer, go follow other killer mains that actually know the ins & outs of every killer. This kid is so mainstream it's a cliche.

You can take a survivor through the portals, and there are several techs with the dash that make him much more powerful.
Tips from a Skull Merchant main:
Hit-and-Run is one of the best playstyles for her, your biggest weakness is lengthy chases which allows Survivors to disable your drones and stop your information-gathering and gen-pressure. If a Survivor is running you on a good loop, 9/10 times it’s better to leave them and pressure elsewhere.
The 3-gen game is powerful, but don’t overrely on it. It’s boring for everyone involved, and should only really be used as a last resort option if the game is going by very quickly.
Place drones on high progress gens and damage them, forcing them to either enter the drone radius, disable the drone, or go work on another gen and allow that gen to regress. The drones are good for more than holding a 3-gen, they’re better as points of pressure and area denial.
Though it may seem useless at first glance, the Shotgun Speakers add-on is very good for Skull Merchant play. They make it harder to push through a drone’s Expose and complete a gen since you don’t have any skill-check notifications, much better than effects like blindness, exhaustion, etc. Some Survivors will try this anyway, potentially giving you a lot more time to end a chase and pressure them off the gen as they’ll likely miss more than one skill check and lose a decent chunk of progress. It also forces Survivors to get rid of the drone, giving you Haste and tracking.
My current build which I’ve had a good amount of success on is this:
Pop Goes the Weasel (gen regression)
Hex: Plaything (extra objectives and good stealth/surprise potential)
Bamboozle (closes off vaults, which are very good against her)
Deadlock (gen stalling)
Then I used the Shotgun Speakers and High Current Upgrade add-ons to make the drones even more of a threat and apply more pressure to high-progress gens.

I highly doubt it. He's a killer main, but he falsely believes that "if you just play well enough, you can beat ANY team." thereby ignoring the existence of unwinnable killer matches.

@@RealEvilLordExdeath It takes a lot for him to critique the devs on their killer nerfs. It took nerfing Twins for like the second or third time for him to be like, "I don't know why the devs do what they do. Why do they nerf Twins add-ons when they're already low tier?" Him being laser focused on Pinhead's one add-on that can counter base BT and Dead Hard is very telling.
