You never said in the video or if you did, I didn’t hear it. Several comments below people asked and didnt get an answer. Is this outside only or inside and outside for $10?
Where I live, I initially stick around 15 a window. If they have me come back every 6 months, I’ll do 13 a window. However If I’m getting of construction debris, I’ll charge 18 a window. If I’m doing construction cleaning, I’ll do 20-25 a window. I’m upfront with my customers before I even step foot on the job and my reviews on apps like thumbtack speak for themselves on my quality of work. I started this business with my twin brother in high school at 18 years old, we both are 23 now and growing every year.
@@daviddorger6916 storefront and commercial are going to be cheaper than residential, especially for recurring cleanings, but $40 for an entire fast-food restaurant is far too cheap, and not worth the time. 6-10 per window at an average fast-food joint I/O.
I charge $4 per pane per side. I will use water fed pole when possible and I keep trying to improve my traditional skills so I can deliver better results quicker. I charge $4 per screen, and $5 for a deep clean on window tracks which includes using little brushes a vacuum, and multi surface cleaner. Other wise the tracks get a wipe down during the interior clean. For dirty exterior jobs, I use a hose end sprayer with EBC Glide to shoot window cleaning soap on to the windows and frames and then rinse with water. this takes off the first few layers of dirt, dust, spider webs, etc. I also rinse any dirt run off from the windows off the side of the house. Its kind of like a soft wash for windows. Then I go back over all the glass with my water fed pole and di water. I find the results are better and it keeps my water fed pole bristles cleaner. Im based out of Victoria BC. and I find that price point works well for me. I try to remove the upper screens from inside the house or ask the home owner to do it so I dont have to take the ladders off the truck, this saves me some time on the job. A house like this would take me no more than 2 hours for the exterior and 2 hours for the interior. I also would not have added an extra window in his counting just because it was a bit bigger than the other windows. For an exterior wash at 40 windows not 46 like he said in the video X $4 would be $160 for an exterior clean and $160 for an interior clean + tax
I am on the other side of the country in Halifax and will be getting going here soon. I appreciate your comment as it can be hard for Canadians do compare with US prices. $4 a pane sounds decent to me but a lot less than he is charging!
The biggest thing is knowing your overhead and what it costs you to work per hour. You want to be in the 15-25% profit margin for your business respectfully. For some companies that’s $100-$150 an hour. That’s how I train my guys. Knowing when you’re not going to be profitable is when you need to charge more. I also pay them more per hour for staying in the profit margin. But my guys know when a job pricing is off when it’s a $250 job they think will take 4 hours. It’s best to train to see that before starting a job. So you can talk it over with a customer. You rarely get lucky with “easy window cleanings” so best to charge more and discount in person, then to discount and walk into a nightmare
I usually charge 18+. Window cleaning can be a pain in the ass. Last time I did windows it was 20 windows for $450. My initial quote came out to $400 but I added the $50 for my pain and suffering of having to clean them.

I did not see the response, was the $10/window for exterior only? Going inside to clean that get into a host of problems with stuck windows and such. I think your price is reasonable based upon the entire window exterior for most in the USA homes.
Hey I'm starting a window cleaning business and I don't know if I have the budget for a pole or ladder, what should I do? Just do the ones I can reach and quote for those?
Hey Mike , I’ve gotten my soft washing business well established and i just added Window cleaning as an additional service but i don’t know what method is more efficient and gives quality results , water fed pills or squeegeeing ? What situations do you use either or and do you quote it differently? I’m from Bluffton SC 45 minutes away from savannah
i work for a window cleaning franchise and usually we mop and squeegee everything because it's more reliable. our technique when using the system is to scrub the frames of the window, then scrub the rubber seal around the window pane then scrub the window itself after all the dirty water has run off the window we give it another scrub on the pane only and rinse. sometimes using the water fed pole would leave drip marks on the window and you would have to give it another pass so we usually reserve that if we are doing 2nd floor cleaning.
It’s embarrassing how long I’ve been in the window cleaning business😊. I will tell you this, learn how to use a squeegee on every single solitary window. On the other hand is good to have Water Fed Pole. Once you get over the learning curve .I think it’s great. Stay thirsty my friend😊
How would you quote an apt complex for window cleaning?? I have my first and no idea how to quote, it's a lot. 350 units and building are 2 and 3 stories. Thanks for any insight!!
Wow, is that for exterior only? If so I need to step my game up. I charged a homeowner $430 for 38 windows inside AND out. The price was supposed to be $530 but I felt that was a bit much maybe so I shaved off $100. I’m never doing that again.
🤣😂🤣 that's so funny to try and "price match" with someone who you can not verify. The reason why big stores "price match" is because it takes 2 minutes to verify the price.
