Nicely done. I've been putting off repotting one of my climbers. It's still small but has climbed too steeply for the new roots to reach media. I wasn't worried for you with the knife but I surely was with the jagged plastic. My hands would have been nicked to pieces. Did I remember correctly that you are on blood thinner now?
I always spray the perlite a bit before I mix it and I never touch the stuff with my fingers when it's dry. I once got it in a small cut, it's painful and irritates for days
Thanks Roger, much appreciated. Do Odontocidiums and Oncidiums have the same care. I was gifted one today and can’t find any care requirements, wondering if you have any Odontocidiums?
Not Orchid related but my Maples are dropping their seeds. So I thought I would pick them up and put them in pots. If some grow I can sell them. If they don't sell they are plants I can destroy them if I need to.
Hopefully, all those divisions will become beautiful orchids. Thanks for you repotting knowledge.
You're welcome.
Hi Roger, oh my goodness, they look so healthy and beautiful as individuals now. Looking forward to seeing them grow on!
They all have active roots so they should pick up quickly now.
Love the video. Very informative.
Thanks.
Nice repot and lol yes we all have glitches.
Thanks. A pity that last section was lost - showed staking and a pop-up of the blooms - still, can't get it right all the time.
Excellent video Roger. Those orchids are magnificent. Wow. Great repot. I always learn something. It is appreciated. Thank you.
Thanks - and you're welcome.
I really enjoyed this video because I always learn something new. I've often wondered about what to do with those pesky roots. So thanks very much.💜🧚
Thanks - and you're welcome.
I also like to plant dry. Learned that from you years ago.
I just think it's easier to settle the media into all the gaps.
Great video
Thanks.
They look great! You certainly will have gotten your money’s worth!
Thanks.
Very interesting video. Some of my oncidium types are becoming monsters too. I have found potted up single bulbs quite often shoot.
Thanks.
Those clear pots get brittle with age 😁
Probably the UV in light?

Yes - I am on blood-thinners.

I've got to be careful not to get cuts now I'm on blood-thinners.
@@RogersOrchidsGardenandBonsai Oh yes that's true ! I already forgot

Odontocidiums are part Odontoglossum which are cooler growers - I would try are keep this cool and a little shadier.
@@RogersOrchidsGardenandBonsai thanks a million
I've got a big Shari Baby I need to report. Thanks for your thoughts.
You're welcome.

For Bonsai, seed grown or cuttings are best as it avoids the nasty looking graft scars.
Don't forget to label. LOL
Already done.
