Great video, you summirized both ships very well. One thing I think is important to keep in mind is no matter how much progress Thailand has made, and how much it feels like the BL niche is so progressive, it might not be good for them professionally to be out as queer people. Every actor who is out and proud doesn't have as much work. Cooheart for example has his own clothing brand and doesn't do as much promotion for other brands like other actors in the BL sphere do, and he doesn't get many roles outside of Wabi Sabi (which is owned by a gay man). GMMTV still doesn't let any of their male artist come out (they have way too many artists for some of them to not be queer). Artists like PP Krit are very obviously femme presenting and no one in their right mind would ever accuse him of "faking" it but he also has never used any labels (at least not that I know of). It's possible that the people with money the ones who sponsor series and BL ships might not promote them with as much effort if they were actually out.

Honestly I prefer that they dont tell us if they were really dating or not. Having a status is scary sometimes, without status they can continue working for a long time and not worry about other things. What if they told us they were dating and then after a year they broke up its gonna hurt the fans and the couple so much even their work will be affected, so its better if they just dont tell us. There is a cultural aspect that many fans overlook when talking about potential BL pairs. Publicly announcing and labelling relationships before a wedding is imminent is fairly normal, even for straight celebrity couples. Most famously, Nadech & Yaya (two lakorn actors who have shared the screen multiple times) were privately dating for years before they eventually confirmed their relationship. Everyone one in the industry knew, and they were asked abour it in various interviews, but they kept their responses non commital, similar to how ZNN would talk about and around their relationship in various interviews. Much of this is influenced by buddhist teachings that most in thailand adhere to. Whatever their relationships are, they deserve the respec4 and agency to reveal it in their own way in their own time. ZNN seem to be more comfortable sharing things currently, so lets aupport whatever they share.

Now with that being said, as was stated here that Nunew said Zee is his lover and Z wants to keep things together. This is my take. Yes, fanservice is part of the job, however, there are so many instances that speak of their closeness, and I mean beyond being just friends. I always have thought that ZNN are together, they're a real couple. Zee has been motivated starting up three ventures (maybe more) since he is with Nu (the company of clothing, another of snacks and the photo album together). I wonder what person would spend thousands (and thousands in two years) in gifts for a friend? How their friends or acquaintances share with us their moments together and videos recorded by fans when they're not looking around just show their closeness more than normal friends . Just check out in mydramalist about Bruce Sirikorn Kananurak ot Both & Newyear. Compare their profiles with other bl actors. A good example is YoonTon. Two years ago Yoon announced that he and Ton were boyfriends. Ton implicitly has agreed saying that they are together. Ton didn’t have job offers in dramas until recently that played a character that had short time in a drama. Yoon after two years finally has two dramas as a male lead and told in a live that he can only appear with his working partner in videos or photos because of his employment contract. So, taking in consideration all of this I think ZNN and other bl actors won't be completely clear about their status stating they are boyfriends. Also, because nowdays people hug, kiss and even have sex but aren't dating oficially, they don't label their relationship. What we can’t expect?

If talking about ZNN, I think it's going to be too hard for being "Fan sevice" for 24 h. Thats why i think they are dating. Here's the thing... NuNew is an INTERNATIONAL, multi-language singer who wants to be a global star and Zee wants to work on the other side of the camera in the near future. Both, while they clearly enjoy their BL roles and acting, do NOT want to stay as just BL actors forever. For them, like many others in the BL industry, it's just a stepping stone that enables them to get well known, open up otherwise closed doors in the entertainment industry, as well as create a financial freedom that allows them to do what they really want to do artist/career wise. Even if they are real life partners (not saying they are or not), it would be detrimental to both of them (especially NN) at this point in time to remove all doubt about it, as many other countries and even people within the BL industry, are still extremely homophobic and it could possibly put an end to... or at the very least create a type of immovable cap/barrier that can determine just how far/which direction they can go or what they can achieve in the future with their careers. For example, a country like ultra conservative China who loves their censorship, would never allow NuNew to perform or even let his music be played there for that matter, if it's proven beyond all shadow of a doubt that he's in a gay relationship. Keeping things a little on the ambiguous side keeps both camps of fans happy and keeps both future and current career avenues wide open. That's why in that Woody interview, for example, Zee keeps using words like "yes you can SAY that" or "yes LIKE a couple" instead of just straight up saying "yes we ARE a couple" or "No we're NOT a couple" and remove all doubt one way or another. On one hand it sounds very much like he's confirmed it, but on the other hand it sounds like he's dancing around it and not REALLY giving a definitive yes to the question with the next words he speaks. This allows them to give validation to both sides at the same time and keeps everyone happy and fans, no matter which side of the debate they're on.

Wording, punctuation, and delivery is everything and how it's done can change a sentence's meaning in a snap. They way they have worded a lot of their answers in that interview is still sus anyway you look at it and can be taken in a multitude of ways, but as I said in my original comment above, they have valid reasons for doing that even if they ARE really together. And let's face it, like any other extremely popular celebrity figure, they are undoubtably also media trained, which means being able to answer difficult questions in such a way that both appeases everyone and offends no one. That said, I'm about 90-95% convinced they are together because even without any verbal confirmation, their body language with e/o when the cameras aren't rolling and/or they don't know they're being filmed, speaks volumes if you're paying close attention and you're able to read non-verbal cues accurately. It's hard to explain, but non-verbal language tells a story more truthfully than any words coming out of someone's mouth hence the reason for the saying "actions speak louder than words". HOWEVER, as I don't know them personally, I must leave some room for the possibility of being wrong cuz at the end of the day, they ARE exceptionally good actors after all and being seen/thought of as a real couple is imperative to any BL acting career and longevity. And at the end of the day, it IS still a business whose bread and butter is fanservice and the better you are at it, the richer and more popular you become.
Unless straight out saying yes we are in a relationship with just that words then ill believe but if they always like either deflect or do a play on words then ill be skeptical. I wholly support their relationships if theyre true but i will not tolerate spreading lies just for fanservice and spread confusion. Actually shipping culture primarily exists in Thai BL culture 95% of the time. Thankfully other countries don't need to push this psychotic narrative of shipping culture. Thai BL is also one of the only countries that has "shipping partners" from series to series. In a real world setting this wouldn't exist because any actor can play anything. They drive this narrative in your head and you see them together all the time, even on screen and people can't tell the difference between real life and not real life. BL culture is becoming more toxic and delulu by the day. Will I stop watching? No. But im sure going to thoroughly vet which countries I watch from.

But it’s not ok to casually misrepresent what people have said and view it through a non-Thai cultural lense. For example, not lasting forever is a Thai Buddhist concept, that is even included in marriage vows, as they don’t believe in permanence. All relationships end either through breakup or death and not fixating on permanence is seen as healthy there.

Translations also exist from the sites that conduct interviews with them that conflict with your statement, so maybe check your own bias before commenting. They aren't just coworkers and have continuously supported each other personally and professionally.
Here's a controversial take. Zee and nunew's 'relationship' could be problematic. Zee is much older and should've been professional during cutie pie shooting instead of leading on Nunew. Nunew being very young could easily be taken advantage of. I don't see industry ppl speaking up but I've seen few journalists and internet fans call it out. After meeting MosBank, I am convinced they're in a relationship. You can't fake the emotions in their eyes when they look at each other. One thing I think is important to keep in mind is no matter how much progress Thailand has made, and how much it feels like the BL niche is so progressive, it might not be good for them professionally to be out as queer people. Every actor who is out and proud doesn't have as much work. Cooheart for example has his own clothing brand and doesn't do as much promotion for other brands like other actors in the BL sphere do, and he doesn't get many roles outside of Wabi Sabi (which is owned by a gay man).
GMMTV still doesn't let any of their male artist come out (they have way too many artists for some of them to not be queer). Artists like PP Krit are very obviously femme presenting and no one in their right mind would ever accuse him of "faking" it but he also has never used any labels (at least not that I know of).
It's possible that the people with money the ones who sponsor series and BL ships might not promote them with as much effort if they were actually out.

There is a cultural aspect that many fans overlook when talking about potential BL pairs. Publicly announcing and labelling relationships before a wedding is imminent is fairly normal, even for straight celebrity couples. Most famously, Nadech & Yaya (two lakorn actors who have shared the screen multiple times) were privately dating for years before they eventually confirmed their relationship. Everyone one in the industry knew, and they were asked abour it in various interviews, but they kept their responses non commital, similar to how ZNN would talk about and around their relationship in various interviews. Much of this is influenced by buddhist teachings that most in thailand adhere to.
Whatever their relationships are, they deserve the respec4 and agency to reveal it in their own way in their own time. ZNN seem to be more comfortable sharing things currently, so lets aupport whatever they share.

Zee and Nunew have been together since they first met. There is a lot more going for them behind the scenes than I think, meets the eye. Now with that being said, as was stated here that Nunew said Zee is his lover and Z wants to keep things together. This is my take. They have been together regardless of what word you would like to use to describe whatever relationship they might have. Yes, fanservice is part of the job, however, there are so many instances that speak of their closeness, and I mean beyond being just friends. Keeping us on the edge of our seats regarding closeness to each other I believe to be intentional and seems to be working as far as everyone loving them and keeping them foremost in their mind. Zee has been motivated starting up three ventures (maybe more) since he is with Nu (the company of clothing, another of snacks and the photo album together). A good example is YoonTon. Two years ago Yoon announced that he and Ton were boyfriends. Ton implicitly has agreed saying that they are together. Ton didn’t have job offers in dramas until recently that played a character that had short time in a drama. Yoon after two years finally has two dramas as a male lead and told in a live that he can only appear with his working partner in videos or photos because of his employment contract.
So, taking in consideration all of this I think ZNN and other bl actors won't be completely clear about their status stating they are boyfriends. Also, because nowdays people hug, kiss and even have sex but aren't dating oficially, they don't label their relationship. What we can’t expect?

Here's the thing...
NuNew is an INTERNATIONAL, multi-language singer who wants to be a global star and Zee wants to work on the other side of the camera in the near future. Both, while they clearly enjoy their BL roles and acting, do NOT want to stay as just BL actors forever. For them, like many others in the BL industry, it's just a stepping stone that enables them to get well known, open up otherwise closed doors in the entertainment industry, as well as create a financial freedom that allows them to do what they really want to do artist/career wise. Even if they are real life partners (not saying they are or not), it would be detrimental to both of them (especially NN) at this point in time to remove all doubt about it, as many other countries and even people within the BL industry, are still extremely homophobic and it could possibly put an end to... or at the very least create a type of immovable cap/barrier that can determine just how far/which direction they can go or what they can achieve in the future with their careers. For example, a country like ultra conservative China who loves their censorship, would never allow NuNew to perform or even let his music be played there for that matter, if it's proven beyond all shadow of a doubt that he's in a gay relationship.
Keeping things a little on the ambiguous side keeps both camps of fans happy and keeps both future and current career avenues wide open. That's why in that Woody interview, for example, Zee keeps using words like "yes you can SAY that" or "yes LIKE a couple" instead of just straight up saying "yes we ARE a couple" or "No we're NOT a couple" and remove all doubt one way or another. On one hand it sounds very much like he's confirmed it, but on the other hand it sounds like he's dancing around it and not REALLY giving a definitive yes to the question with the next words he speaks. This allows them to give validation to both sides at the same time and keeps everyone happy and fans, no matter which side of the debate they're on.

@@Therizzgodd_j As I said above, they seemingly confirmed it with a resounding YES in one sentence, only to (intentionally or unintentionally) turn around and muddy that same confirmation with the way they worded their next few sentences, which is why there are still people who don't believe they're together irl. Wording, punctuation, and delivery is everything and how it's done can change a sentence's meaning in a snap. They way they have worded a lot of their answers in that interview is still sus anyway you look at it and can be taken in a multitude of ways, but as I said in my original comment above, they have valid reasons for doing that even if they ARE really together. And let's face it, like any other extremely popular celebrity figure, they are undoubtably also media trained, which means being able to answer difficult questions in such a way that both appeases everyone and offends no one.
That said, I'm about 90-95% convinced they are together because even without any verbal confirmation, their body language with e/o when the cameras aren't rolling and/or they don't know they're being filmed, speaks volumes if you're paying close attention and you're able to read non-verbal cues accurately. It's hard to explain, but non-verbal language tells a story more truthfully than any words coming out of someone's mouth hence the reason for the saying "actions speak louder than words".
HOWEVER, as I don't know them personally, I must leave some room for the possibility of being wrong cuz at the end of the day, they ARE exceptionally good actors after all and being seen/thought of as a real couple is imperative to any BL acting career and longevity. And at the end of the day, it IS still a business whose bread and butter is fanservice and the better you are at it, the richer and more popular you become.

Actually shipping culture primarily exists in Thai BL culture 95% of the time. Thankfully other countries don't need to push this psychotic narrative of shipping culture. Thai BL is also one of the only countries that has "shipping partners" from series to series. In a real world setting this wouldn't exist because any actor can play anything.
