Cute advent calendar, Alyssa! I have a cross stitch one that’s similar with different ornaments to hang on it every day and my kids still enjoy taking turns picking them out even now that they’re teenagers. Hopefully your kiddos will cherish yours as well through the years! 🥰
Good to see the little one. Hope your mom is doing well. I have finally finished all my treatment except for my 5 years of hormone therapy and had my yearly mammogram for the other side. Was nervous but it all came out fine. I think about and pray for your mom all the time. Thank you for sharing Lucinda
Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm thrilled to hear from you! What a relief you are doing well and the mammogram was good. I hope you continue to do well. Thank you for praying for my mom. ~J
I saw a goose standing on a step looking up. Yes Julie it is Jasper Alberta. It is lake. Beautiful countryside. Julie your work is looking amazing. I love the Mason jar stitch. Alyssa the Advent felt calendar is amazing. Great video.
Another place to add to my travel bucket list. If you decide to start the Mason Jar one, look for giant glaring arrows on the fabric. They have meaning. ~J
I was having withdrawal symptoms! Kept checking for the little red dot! 🤣 Thank you for the update. It was fun. ⚘️ PS: I just re-read the 4 Hunger Games books.
I enjoyed Hunger Games. I think she has another one coming out soon if it hasn't already. Something about Sunrise or Sunset? Haymitch's story, I believe. ~J
Hi ladies. Nice finish on the advent calendar Alyssa! Keto and the Mason jars look great Julie. Don't worry about pulling your weight to the moon next year. I bet you got over 40k stitches into Keto this year! Yes, some books of ACOTAR are better than others. Her Throne of Glass series is pretty good too. Have you read Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar series? It has lots of different trilogy but I'd recommend starting with Magic's Pawn. I read while eating, and a little when work is slow. Once I get into bed, I crash. I keep track of what books I read each year...41 so far this year but my best was 152 in 2020 (covid and older kids). Merry Christmas guys!
I have a few more FC new starts planned for the year, so that should increase my FC stitch count. Gee, I wonder who caused the new starts? Hmmmmmm...KIM!!!!!! I have not read the Valdemar series. 152!!!!!! Damn. I was impressed with 41. ~J
I did not like a court of crown and roses either. I have similar problem. I stitch too much to read. I belong to a book club so I get 12 books read a year. When I have to read I set page quotas I have to fill. But in general it takes time away from stitching, grrrr. Julie I an so envious of all the fabric you have. If you ever think to sell ✋️ please let me know. Fourth Wing I could not get through because the sex scenes were just over the top and too much.
Yes!!! Fourth Wing had terrible sex scenes!!!! It was fine up until then. I will probably eventually read the next book, but it's not high on my list. It's nice to know you felt the same about ACOTAR as well. It sounds like I read about as many books in a year as you do. I will let you know if I ever decide to sell fabric, but I wouldn't hold out much hope. I think I might be a fabric hoarder. :) ~J

Congrats on your finish. :) It was nice to see a full team again!
I like having her here (and the hair puller as well). Now we just have to work on getting her back every video. ~J

@stitchingatthecabin lol, yes they do.
Julie, every time you mentioned touching your legs I heard I Touch Myself by the Divinyls. I couldn't stop laughing. Thanks for the fun
That's a good song. Now I'm going to hear it when I say that and might even break out into song which will be painful for everyone in earshot. ~J
@stitchingatthecabin can't wait for that 😂

Olivia woke up and chose violence this morning with your hair 😂
Ha ha ha ha ha. That made me laugh harder than it probably should have. Yes, yes she did. ~J
Merry Christmas you two.
Merry Christmas!!!! ~J
