Nothing wrong with One Direction, dudes. BUT it makes me so depressed that they are much more famous than McFly. Because the Tom, Danny, Harry and Dougie have worked their butts off for more than ten years and are so immensely good at what they do, they deserve so much better. But hey, at least they have the most amazing fan base. Galaxy defenders, stay forever.
The thing with McFly is I think they are gaining more respect and acknowledgement the longer they stay together. Young people are discovering them through bands like 1D, 5SOS and the Vamps talking about them. Other bands like Rixton have called them influences too. I think in their own way they have gone down in history in the UK and the rest of the world is finally catching on as to why they're so special. :)
Sasha Wedge I think the Jonas brothers are fans of McFly and Busted too. And I totally agree with you. The longevity of their band is one of the many things that make them amazing. As well as their awesome talent and funny personalities. :)
Gelic G Their individual personalities are a big part of it too, definitely. Between them they have 2 kings of the I'm A Celebrity jungle, 1 winner of Strictly Come Dancing, 2 established children's writers, 1 UA-cam star, 1 actor who had a part in a major British soap opera and in West End shows including Wicked, 1 Olivier nominated musical writer, 1 founder of 2 successful clothing brands, 1 signed model who's posed for publications including India's Vogue...the list genuinely goes on.

But it is still sad that they are opening for bands like One Direction when they've been around for way longer and done so much more (musically and everything else) than them. Anyway, as a fan I'm happy the fellow fans from Down Under are at least getting to see them perform live but how I wish they were worldwide appreciated so the world could have a global tour.
