    Hunter, your playing is incredibly musical and tasteful and you have grear chops (loved that little country lead run). Also a well crafted video to boot. Cheers bud!

      @@davidtolentino9056 thanks! It was in mono for the opening track and stereo for the demo.

      I see. How did you do it in stereo? Did you use the two send and return?

    Great demo Hunter. Loved the intro track. I had Deco a few years back and didn’t bond with it for some reason, but I’m considering picking up another one and giving it another try. Especially for recording I can see it being useful. I do love those subtle slap backs and warble for warm and taste. Keep up the great work! Just subscribed

    New subscriber here, awesome video! I've come *this close* over the last few years to getting a Deco, though I always pause because I don't know where it should go in my chain. Any suggestions? Right now my signal chain is wah>comp>Tech 21 RK5 Flyrig v2>delay>Fender Tone Master Deluxe Reverb Blonde. Thanks!

      Thanks! I would try it after your comp. Either there or after the flyrig. Since it really is a gain stage and modulation, you can get a little creative with where it goes, and there’s no rules so see what sounds best!

    Great video, wants me to revisit my Decco again ,-) Would be interesting additional information how you used the pedal with the acoustic guitars and drums (DI acoustic into the pedal?) How do you use the pedal as an "outboard" effect with your DAW? Haven´t seen al lot of videos covering that topic. Cheers!

      @hunterstrasser  Місяць тому

      @@lesnuits1 thanks!! So for the acoustic guitars I recorded it with a mic then sent the signal out of my DAW into the pedal - then back into the daw. You could call it just an effects send or re-amping the signal. It’s fairly easy to do with most audio interferences that have more than just the 2 main outputs. I hope that helps!

    I’m debating on getting one as a studio tool, possibly throwing it on my pedalboard from time to time as well, but I play mostly in mono, does it work in a mono rig??

    • @hunterstrasser
      @hunterstrasser  Місяць тому +1

      It’s great with mono rig. For all of the guitar tracks in the first part of the video I had it in mono actually. It does that funny thing where it makes a mono track feel wider than it is.

    Okay… I’ve been trying to figure this out for months. HOW DO YOU RUN TRACKS BACK THROUGH THE DECO, using it like outboard gear? Any help would be SO appreciated!

    • @hunterstrasser
      @hunterstrasser  Місяць тому

      I think you could get a better answer by searching “how to use pedals as outboard gear”. There’s a really good reverb video about how to do it. But the general idea is, send the track back through one of the outputs on your audio interface, then through the pedals, then back into your audio interface. It does require some routing in whatever DAW you are using but it’s pretty straightforward!
