You will. It takes some time to get used to, but as long as you force yourself to use it even though it feels like it's wasting time, you'll get the hang of it. With Ghostface patience and timing is key.
Holy hell man. I don't think I've ever seen a more useful ghost face video in my life! You've really put in the effort to learn his gimmicks. I love it! I also have a little gimmick that if you know how to use correctly, it has insane value. You could look at a straight wall and you would get a glimpse of a lean stalk. Press it and glide across the screen. It'll go for only so long. Thank you for the video, I'll be researching!!!
I'm new to the game and have only been into it for a couple months, but the amount of fun I have playing as Ghostface is honestly criminal. Sometimes I still get stomped, but when the cleverness pays off, oh boy does it ever pay off. An amazing guide even though this is years old by now. I learned some new things!
Unrelated, but the Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Hollow Knight soundtracks you used in this video brought a lot of memories/feelings back man. Also, masterfully well done guide! I love Ghostie XP wassuuuup
Sadly Hawkins Laboratory won't be with us for us Ghostface / Michael Myers mains the last Hawkins game for ghostface was a good one and I want to end my rain of terror on a good note on Hawkins R.I.P To one ghostface main to a other 🔪👻 = 💀
Honestly of all the self proclaimed "god ghostface" players running qround in UA-cam you are the only one who actually know how to usw the killer. Although I have a less immersive and more hybrid style of playing ghostface I really enjoy seeing someone use the ghostfaces power like intended. I am also playing ghostface without add-ons since his Release and having the old power downtime really helped me bei more careful with him. I am almost they buffed it. Then again, I was going against pretty tryhard swfs so that wasnt so much fun... It is also one of the reasons I stopped playing dbd for a while and I am now back on this old video of yours. I really miss seeing good ghostfaces that played him back when he had nothing going for him.
@@kingping8370 After the buff I definitely agree with you, but before playing without add-ons is just rough. You sefinitely have more experience with ghostie so maybe I am not good enough yet. That's why I'd love to see more videos from you :) Also If you are interested in talking about ghostie with a fellow enthusiast and soon to be game designer hit me up.
The only thing I would've disagreed with you on at the time of this videos release is that I think running double stalk speed addons were better than recovery add-ons because even though you can't use your power as much when you do use it you will practically always a guaranteed mark on whomever it is that your stalking which can save you up to 3 times the time it would take to recover your power even with the double recovery add-ons especially if you are stalking multiple people. Although this point is irrelevant now after his rework and now his most recent buff. Also I disagree about the repeated crouching in loops to cheese marks being not worth it and a sign of a weaker skill, there are plenty of times where spending an extra 10 to 15 seconds in chase doing this to get a marked down would've saved you up to entire minutes of extra chase time to otherwise down that survivor especially before dead hards repeated nerfs and even more so if they are a skilled survivor with multiple good loops nearby. Overall though other than those couple disagreements I'd say this was a very good video and from one ghostface main to another you have my respect. Also I'd be interested to see an updated version of this video now that he received an entire add on rework and multiple significant buffs.
I’d like to see a vid where pwyf is utilized to see its value if that’s possible. I’ve seen esskay use it but I can’t really see how wasting time farming stacks will help.
I’ve always tried to get the quick down as Ghostface at the start of the match because I thought it builds more pressure for the survivors. It just feels wrong leaving a survivor on a gen to go stalk someone else to 99.
You changed my mind about ghostface. I never thought he would be this capable of being in the higher tiers. He's my main, but I started to question if it's possible to win at high mmr. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
i used spies from the shadows and that helped alot for Example i would stay near hook and if someone went to go there a crow would alert me and then i would know when to stalk the hook thanks btw for the help
After a bit more testing Surveillance is a very good perk from a lot of my recent games. Ruinveillance is the main combo, but if ruin is broken surveillance can be good for a 3 gen situation and basically make it IMPOSSIBLE for them to win unless they all have object or spine chill. It also helps a lot with very sneaky gen rushers who try to sneak in a lot of progress as soon as I leave the area which is one thing I really struggled with. Overall it's a very solid perk, it's no discordance but it's very effective if used correctly and if the survivors are unaware (which 80% is the case).
It's also very good beginner/intermediate perk as it kinda elevated my gamesense wayyyy more and I feel like after a month I've finally tapped into the Ghostface shadow. Becoming truly immersed with the killer and winning consistently.
@@kingping8370 Ur my inspiration for even getting good with ghostface, ur guides and videos showed me that ghostface can be played immersively and that playing that way is 80% more effective than whatever otz and all the big name streamers do. would bbq, ruin, surveillance, blood warden be a good build for ghostie? I've been playing him for a while and I have been experimenting with builds and this one seems to be really good for me
I've been considering tinkerer as knowing if the gens about to pop can be useful as pressuring that gen with either a marked down or a basic m1 could be useful but I don't have many perks unlocked.
surveillance with ruin isnt a bad combo but ruin can get broken and surveillance requires getting people off gens in the first place which is hard as ghostie. Discordance is by far his best tracking perk blood warden is pretty niche tbh and ive never been a tinkerer fan, it forces you to be a slave to the gens and thats never a good feeling. An expectation of a good ghostie player is knowing the general locations of all survivors at all times. The only thing you cant account for is how many people will stack on a gen which is why discordance is crucial. But do try surveillance more by all means, and tell me how it goes!
@@kingping8370 im broke and cant buy legion so i cant settle with discordance just yet until it shows up in the shrine. but if i had it i would definitely run it
@@kingping8370 also one of my main reasons for running surveillance is late game, even if ruin is gone you can still kick a gen a survivor is fixated on, go into night shroud in the area and wait for surveillance to show the gen and get an easy stalk fairly fast. Blood warden is there in the build bc it's the one perk that can technically counter anything but it's hard and sometimes situational. Some plays a co-ordinated swf can make are completely out of my control and un-counterable. It's basically just a perk I can fall back on if the survivors were overly altruistic and ended up bad for me through all 5 gens.
OR..... get rid of Barbecue & Chili (because why would you use this if Night Shroud already shows where survivors are hiding?) and Ruin (because you can actually use a fun perk instead, like Dark Devotion and get more out of undetected and Night Shroud). I feel like people who play Ghostface aren't getting the most out of his stealthy-ness. They just run out in the open with a red stain most of the time because they dont know how to manage Night Shroud, and frankly it isn't their fault. High level survivors will almost always see you and cancel it out.
