    Amazing explanation on the vibora variations and how racket speed and power are key and two very different things. One thing I do, and I don't think you mentioned, is I change the grip to a similar one of the top smash since it open the face of the racket and allows me to brush the ball more at the sacrifice of some power. Keep it up! To 50K!

    • @ThePadelSchool
      @ThePadelSchool  3 роки тому +3

      Yes Joe, that is another good tip and can help the brush. This player was already doing that slightly so I didn't bring it up, but good point! One day 50K I hope haha

    Ok, so I have another question for you (or maybe a video idea?). Recently me and my partner started playing against his dad and his friends who are well-seasoned tennis players. My level is getting pretty good and I thought it wouldn't be too difficult to win against some tennis players (who have a very tennis-like playing style). When they give me a fast topspin ball I just let it bounce against the back glass and I can play it back after the wall bounce. At net I take a step more to the back, so I have a little bit more time to react to their fast shots. It works pretty well, so I'm happy about that. There is however one (quite important) shot that is very difficult for me to consistently defend against: their serve. They have a very fast topspin serve that is actually very consistent. I would say about one out of three first serves isn't good. The longer the game went on, the better me and my partner returned the serves; we either let them bounce twice in the corner against the glass or play them back before it hit the glass, but it was still very difficult to consistently play a good shot against. It's very frustrating, because we would win a lot more points if it wasn't for that serve. Do you have any more tips we could use?Thanks a lot.

    • @ThePadelSchool
      @ThePadelSchool  3 роки тому

      Good question Victor, this is something I sometimes do for fun if I'm playing with friends is hit alot of topspin on the serve into the side glass, because they struggle with that rebound. But a player at my level would just wait for it to rebound off the 2nd glass (probably turning) and play that shot comfortably. Because the faster the shot and the more topspin means the ball is in the air longer. It is still not easy to deal with, but once practiced the returner knows what to do. You are right, either block before the glass or allow the rebound to bring the ball out...

    Can you make a video on the best technique for a smash. When I watch the pros they kinda twist their racket before impact compared to me when i just swing it flat. Not sure I explained it to well but if you understand I’d love a reply. Good video and keep on going Sammy!

    • @ThePadelSchool
      @ThePadelSchool  3 роки тому +1

      Do you mean a topspin smash? They use alot of wrist on that shot to hit topspin. There are different types of smashes, which one did you mean?
