  • This Episode:
Introduction to the series: What is our mission? Why we do it. Show the hardware we are using for this video series.
    The Series:
We want to share our knowledge (gained thoughout our work with customers ) on installing Azure Stack HCI on physical HW. Throughout the series we'll install a 4 node HCI cluster on servers equipped with 6 NVMes each.
Explain network & cabeling. We will create the management, compute and the storage network. Test storage network for RDMA performance. Create the cluster. Update the cluster using Cluster Aware Updating. And do a set of benchmark test to proof the quality of the installation and demonstrate the power / capabilities of our system.
By the end of this multiple hours spanning series you'll have the experience to install and know what to expect of HCI.
    Speaker:
    Carsten Rachfahl - Microsoft MVP
    Bernhard Frank - Microsoft FastTrack

      Hi
we did not publish the scripts as they will vary based on the HW (e.g. network adapters and ports) being used. So the task of developing them is well invested time.
The OEMs (like Dell, Lenovo, HPE,....) have deployment guides you can reference: and do copy and pasting github.com/bfrankMS/AzStackHCI/tree/current_23H2/Setup/best%20practices#example-vendor-deployment-guides
But beware that this installation series has been recorded quite a while ago now.
-> With the current (as of 22-04-2024) version of HCI 23H2 the deployment has changed dramatically - i.e. you don't need to do PS scripting it will be done through the new deployment process. However understanding why / what is still relevant - just the way of doing it changed. I'd recommend to also have a look at:
      ua-cam.com/video/jSOpU0RmDvw/v-deo.htmlsi=6n7sG3u-HXTiQt7n
to learn how the new deployment looks like.
