Astor Place is a nice fragrance, it’s a safe blind buy. I like your comparison to J’adore. J’adore was my wedding day scent. Love both fragrances.

I now have 4 B9 fragrances , the latest being Hudson Yards ( purchased based on your description). Three were blind and I'm not disappointed in any of them. I have a complimentary sample of Astor Pllace, and she is nice . However, I gotta back away from B9 for a while they can be addictive once you start buying them. My next purchase will be for my bday in August, and I plan to get So New York. It's got a coffee note, which I adore in perfume but may be more suited for fall/winter.

I agree I buy according to Santa Maria reviews also. I'm going to buy another bond now. Jomashop has a sale on bond right now. I've also gotten into Louis vuitton fragrances also. I have to cut back because these can pricey.
Great review. I blind buy most of my fragrances. I haven’t sniffed or considered Bond No 9 Astor Place yet. Perhaps I’ll add that to my list. I like J’adore. I’ve been really enjoying J’adore D’eau lately.

I have a 90ish % blind buy success rate, but I’ve slowed down in 2023. Also, Astor Place is between Union Square, the East Village and Greenwich Village, near NYU. It’s a pretty populated area due to NYU’s presence. I’m a southerner as well and many of my good friends from my NYC days are also southerners.

I was in a bar a few days ago and this chick sat down next to me and she smelled so good. I asked her what it was and this was the fragrance. It projected nice and yea it was strong but it smells nice. So nice, I bought it for my mistress lol. True story

Yeah I’m probably about to blind buy this lol. Everything you said makes me feel safe buying blindly, especially if it’s similar to the J’adore which I love. It’s currently on sale on the bond site and I’m kind of scared to buy from one of the discount sites because of mixed reviews. Too many people questioning authenticity on the site that currently has the best prices on all the bond fragrances.

I'm a New Yorker. Astor Place is known more for NYU (so lots of students) and for lots of restaurants. There is a couple of theatres there but by no means would I categorize it as artsy per se (theatre is more Broadway). As someone else pointed out, it's near Union Square and the East Village.
Oh and have you tried the new Bond perfume? The one with flowers on the bottle?

Hi Santa, although this isn't a scent for me I looked it up and saw a 100 ml bottle for €290, around 300 dollar. You're Bond's biggest fan so I am not surprised you blind bought this. I myself am looking at New Bond Street. Will look up some reviews. it seems like a more colder months scent so I'll hold off buying it for six months or so. I did two blind buys this week, yes my no buy has been violated but I can justify it because they were cheapies. First one is Vanille Insensée by Atelier Cologne. With the weather getting warmer I already know I will not be in the mood for my gourmands. In a timely fashion I saw a older video from Chris of The Perfume Nest in my recommendations about summer vanillas. This one was on sale and very cheap so I picked it up. Second one was also a summer orientated scent: Teazzurra from the Aqua Allegoria line by Guerlain. It's been discontinued, but I got it from an individual seller. It is calming, soothing, and yet refreshing and energizing at the same time. That beautiful green tea note with a whiff of vanilla, I love it!

i only own 2 bonds and they both are freakin amazing. they last long and they are quite amazing quality the sillage is also amazing. yesterday afternoon i wore Tribeca to work in the beginning it has a strong moss scent on me in the opening quite oak mossy smelling on me but i came home after my 5 hours working and i still smelled it as strong as when i first sprayed it but it had morphed into smelling like cotton candy drizzled with caramel sauce. like woah bond no 9 is amazing i haven't found another house quite like it. thanks for your astral place review ❤️
