Beans and other legumes are an excellent source of iron. The reasons not to should be said when watching what these Beautiful B'ings have to go through so that flesh eaters who dont't value Life over taste can eat it. Love n Blessings Family!!!
Yes, and here's some little known facts about lentils: Not only do they contain iron and magnesium, but among beans and peas, lentils contain the most B-complex vitamins. Lentils are seeds, and all seeds contain B12. Since seeds don’t contain chlorophyll, they can’t rely on sunlight for growth and are therefore dependent on B-complex vitamins. Conclusion: Lentils are one of the best foods on earth.
I had an iron deficiency once. Had to go on tablets. This was when I used to eat meat. I have given blood for many years and my iron is fine and I'm pretty much vegan. It's only been low twice and that's when I was on a diet and hardly eating.
That one individual was complaining about finances - but orders pre-made meals, goes out to restaurants, etc. Doesn’t seem like they actually care about finances too much. Besides, two minutes of research will show you that a whole foods vegan lifestyle is cheaper than an animal product-oriented diet. And, that’s even considering the fact that meat and dairy are heavily subsidized to make the products cheaper for the consumers.
Every single person I know that's told me they "can't afford fruits and vegetables" spends way more on food than I do, going out/ordering food. It's never actually that they can't afford it, it's that they don't like eating anything other than processed/fast food.
@@_Booker_DeWitt Not sure if you know, but people become addicted to fast food if they eat it. 30% of America is obese, nearly 100 million people. These are people who will never be able to be vegan.
What aggravates me is when someone's excuse for not being vegan is financial difficulties, but then they talk about eating expensive "ethical" meats like lab grown, or grass fed. Being vegan dosnt have to be expensive, but eating more ethically raised animals will always be. Why do people think that it is asking too much to not eat animals and that it's a privilege and somthing only wealthy people can achieve, but they think that it's reasonable to suggest these expensive local farmed organically fed animals. Lmao!! So much bs! I spent $25 USD on groceries and I got enough food to last me over a week. Veganism is a philosophy, not a privilege.
A few months ago I wrote on Facebook, humans will eat anything...these videos confirm I'm right. Another thing I have noticed in these videos most people seem very lackluster and docile, I'm starting to believe all the fast-food people eat are making them "dull". Joey is so much more energetic, smart and bright than anyone he speak to on the streets, proving veganism is the cure for dullness!!!
I just LOVE meat. I wish the production of meat could be done in a way that is humane, I just love my meat. I just cooked a 4 hour pork shoulder, I am yet to find any vegan food that tastes better then pork. Yum!
Your tastebuds change. The amount of times I've asked my hubby to check that I'm not eating meat if I get the vegan option. He is confused at how I can't tell the difference. If you're struggling. Just eliminate certain animals gradually. Like. Never eat duck. Then cows and so on. This is what I did. I struggled for ages though. I gave up red meat over 30 years ago. I went vege 3 years ago and now I just eat 2 eggs a week from the back garden. I don't miss my old diet at all.
I don’t know about kangaroo flesh, but chicken and fish flesh aren’t a source of iron. And the question she needs to ask is, she’s got iron deficiency, but she’s eating animals. So that’s not helping, is it?
I like the intro. I'll be at the National Animal Rights March tomorrow - Smithfield market, 12.30, looking forward to (finally once again) marching for animals ;)
Joey explains it so well; people that aren’t vegan yet usually think it will be hard or expensive because no one has given them the information yet on how easy it is. And it can actually be CHEAPER to eat vegan, not more expensive. Again, they often just don’t know because they’ve never been interested, taken the time to learn/research or been given the info. Most people were raised nonvegan and constantly bombarded with nonvegan advertising. Sounds like Challenge 22 is a great resource for people to learn how easy it is to be vegan 🌱.
If I may add, I believe half the ice free land on Earth is being used for animal agriculture. This includes feed for living-stock and land for the animals.
@@karlosbiggains1243 You would eat various different non animal species, some with feathers, some with fur, different skins, some people even eat more delicate stuff like testicles etc (and those were slain in terrific manners after they were fed with terrible "food").. But eating a human is off the plate? Who is really mental here?
@@Bl4ckheart Go see a specialist. You're not very well. If you would rather eat human than animal there is obviously a screw loose in your head. Besides. How do you know animals don't consent? What if the animal hates his life and wants nothing but death and to be eaten. You wouldn't know would you. What gives you the right to decide what's best for the animal. If a human can consent to being eaten then an animal can also consent to be eaten.
That and "I can't get B12, so need meat". You can literally get iron from plants and B12 is produced by neither plants or animals but by soil bacteria. But if you do struggle with any vitamins/minerals, you can literally either eat fortified foods and/or supplements
There are two kinds of people in terms of veganism: those who see themselves as the victim, and those who see from the animal’s point of view. The pink haired girl is the first. She should go to a slaughterhouse and see what is truly “hard”. Setting aside time to cook for yourself, not viewing eating out as a necessity and putting the victim first is not hard.
I'm a platelet donor. Just donated my 268th donation of blood product. (At some point I want to make a response to John Sakars blood donation video.) If I was Iron deficient... the National Blood Transfusion Service would let me know. 😉
@Robb Anderson Unfortunately it says that Challenge 22 is not suitable for me which is a real shame (because of my eating disorder). Do you know any other ways of tackling this as i feel like i will need support initially
I'm in the u.s so idk the price of kangaroo meat where it's a regular thing. . .that would be "exotic meat" where I'm from and would probably cost 10x as much as some iron pills from Walmart 🤨. They seem to be listening and willing to make the switch one day tho. Some people take a little longer than others. We all had those excuses at one point lol.

Question: One of the most common ways to make vegan cheese is by using cashews. Do you think cashews are cheap? Do you think vegan cheeses in the store are cheap?
Do you think the “Just Egg” egg replacer is cheap? I know you can make tofu scramble, but many people, like myself _HATE_ tofu. Do you think good quality vegan mayo is cheap? I won’t even mention the insane price of Beyond/Impossible Meat, because I’m pretty sure even vegans don’t eat much of that stuff since it’s quite processed.
Anyways, there are shitloads of vegan foods that make the diet NOT cheap if you actually want to eat similar tasting stuff to what you grew up on (dairy/eggs/meat). Personally, I’m a 30 year long vegetarian, which is DEFINITELY cheaper than a meat-based diet, and I find it to also be cheaper than a vegan diet when it comes to vegan products that I either actually buy or want to buy but can’t afford.

I literally needed to put in 10-20 minutes of my time to get all the information about iron (what foods are rich in iron, what improves the iron absorption).
We live in the 21 century ... it's easier than ever to inform oneself about nutrition.
Care to give advice what you eat as a vegan for iron and better iron absorption?
@@iam4600 Lentils, tofu, beans, nuts, spinach and so much more are high in iron. Combine with foods rich in vitamin c to boost absorption. People always think that means they have to add a bunch of fruit into their diet (you should but don't have to) but there are plenty that are already in most of your meals...tomatoes, peppers, broccoli oh and this kinda popular thing that you might have heard of called a potato.

So not only have we been exposed to reality but we have actively participated in it and then gone one step further to be able to view it from a different perspective. I have been vegan for 56 years. Them cooking a pot of lentils getting dark leafy greens and some lemon juice. They will start absorbing iron properly. The iron tablets that are prescribed are on socialized medicine in Australia if I'm not mistaken? I'm not sure of the program there I know the US and the iron tablets are free to 99.9% of anybody that's deficient the problem is is they're not usable! All they do is make a person constipated no matter what you eat with them it's like chewing on nails and I don't mean fingernails. Something acidic and greens and more than likely that person is golden. I would imagine that there's some other issues going on there. I wish I was there so I could help them because it's not fair that somebody has other issues other than physical that's affecting the way they eat I don't believe that that's a hundred percent about their diet their getting BS information from a doctor that is not trained in nutrition at all I went to medical school I know. Until I went to naturopathic school for 4 years which was Far shorter than all the doctorates that I received I learned what your body can and cannot do period and luckily I had a plant-based doctor teaching nutrition and I already knew more than that doctor as a child because I was obsessed with it. Irony is wasted on the stupid.
Putting aside the ethics of harming animals, global warming (which might kill most of humans), and zoonotic diseases (potential pandemics worse than Covid-19); If all vegans and vegetarians of the World "stopped" and ate about as much flesh, milk and eggs as an average carnist eats in the first World countries (or as much as people in developing countries would eat if they could afford it), we would quickly run out of land to produce all those inefficient calories for them to continue eating animals. We'd need another planet to grow and farm it all. Carnism/anti-veganism is therefore inherently self-refuting. Carnists wouldn't want if over a billion of vegetarians and millions of vegans followed their own advice. Their habits rely on us vegetarians and vegans not to follow suit. Irony is wasted on the clueless...
Do you get it, bro? Even if you could somehow disintegrate all vegetarians and vegans with a ray gun (so that the remaining carnists wouldn't be overwhelmed with all the dealings with the corpses), the economy would collapse because of the resulting significant drop in workforce.

Yeah massive contradiction there! I think it's just lip service and they also buy less "humane" animal products too.
Great job Joey. I wish I had the drive to do this type of activisim. ✌

You could tell it's a pure excuse the moment she opened her mouth.
