DEBATE ME. Animals are not morally relevant other than as property. In nature the strong dictate the rules. Only reason the strong do not control all is because we can use weapons and with them even the weak can kill the strong. No one wants to die so we made the social contract so we don't kill each other. What i meant by this is if, in prehistory before laws and social contract, the strongest member of your group wanted to fuck you in the ass there was nothing stopping him. But as you are smart (and you can use weapons) so there is nothing stopping you from smashing his head with a rock that night when he is asleep. So two of you form an understanding not to harm each other. This is called the social contract. Morality comes out of the social contract and its only purpose is to enforce it. Second thing is the drive an individual to maximize his short and long term pleasure. This is tempered by social contract. If you allow social contract to be broken, things like murder, rape, theft or slavery to happen and you put yourself at greater risk of being a victim. For this reason any braking of the social contract needs to be punished and the social contract needs to be guarded. Morality was developed as the first line of defense for safeguarding the social contract. Anything that straightens the social contract is moral and everything that beaks is immoral. For the social contract to exist there needs to exist potential for parity of force, or in other words there must be a potential, for both parties, to harm the party that breaks the social contract. Animals are not a part of the social contract since they don't have potential for parity of force. Extending morality to animals is logically useless, and it is a sign of screwed up moral compass and deep emotional possibly mental problem. I believe it is caused by a behavioral sink. and to address no.1 counter argument i get all the time: "then children and mentally challenged people don’t have any rights too" It is logical to extend morality to them, it is in one's best interest. We have empathy. This capacity likely evolved because it served our ancestors survival in 3 ways. First, like every mammal, we need to be sensitive to the needs of our offspring. Second, it alerts us to danger. Third, our species depends on cooperation, which means that we do better if we are surrounded by healthy, capable group mates. Disabled people need to be taken care of, same as children and the elderly not because of them but because of us, so when we are children or the elderly or become disabled we can expect people to take care of us. Taking care of them is just a matter of enlightened self-interest. Of coarse you don't need to take care of anyone to be moral, you only can't break the social contract. To clarify: Our potential for parity of force increases and decries during our life. The point of social contract is self preservation. So we include all humans regardless of their potential for parity of force so regardless of our current potential for parity of force when we lose potential for parity of force we are protected. There is no reason to include non-human animals as you will never be a non-human animal. Slavery is 2. argument i get. Yes, slavery is a breaking of the social contract. Slaves have potential for parity of force with their slavers, and all the slavers in history knew this. Biggest fear in every slaver society was slave uprisings. Why do you think Spartans lived the way they did? Because their saves outnumbered them many times over. Why do we still remember Spartacus? Because for Rome he was on the same level of terror as Hannibal. Janissaries were slaves. And what brought the end to slavery? Haitian Revolution.

And you can make them whole foods or with meat substitutes. Whatever you want!
No you can't. Vegan meat, bacon, eggs, cheese etc. imitations suck and are just processed junk made in a factory, not to mention that you won't get the same nutrition from it. The attempts of vegans to recreate classic dishes at home are also just sad from what I've seen, scrambled "eggs" from tofu, "tuna" salad from chickpeas, "chicken" from cauliflower and other abominations 😀 You cannot imitate steak, roasted pork belly, grilled chicken etc with tofu or seitan

I think this guy is not honest with himself so he can continue his eating habits. Changing is exhausting and people usually avoid it. The fact that Joey encounters so many vegans and people saying that they know vegans, gives me hope. The USA needs to have such momentum as the UK does! Even the vegetarians are a good sign. I think of them as most of the way to vegan, so it is more likely they will go vegan than meat eaters.
"They're not the same" ... This guy is caught in a loop. It's depressing people this willfully ignorant exist.
I was having a terrible day and then I saw Joey uploaded a video. Thank you.
You're getting famous, Joey!
I love that he’s doing this infront of Burger King 😂
thats the best place to do it !!
I’m commenting to help this video grow because you never know if we get this video more views someone might go vegan! 💚🌱
yes yes 🌱🌱
Commenting to help the reach ✌️
So many people not wearing masks???
Because it's fake. The governments are beating a dead horse, examining how long they're able to enforce the masses to wear masks. Impregnating people with fear works wonders.
@@oogwayy777 my mom has corona & she is suffering in so much pain she's bedridden also i tested positive last week i was so sick i wanted to die, 9 days & counting i couldn't eat a single grain of rice & im so hungry now but i still can't eat
i wish people weren't so selfish
@@veg4life. No she doesn't have Covid because there is no Covid. Dr. Roger Hodkinson exposes the virus. ua-cam.com/video/Hzbz_gL6qEo/v-deo.html
I wish people were educated and were capable of critical thinking. Irony is strong here.
@@veg4life. "couldn't eat a single grain of rice" I tested positive too. My roommate gave "it" to me. But let's be logical here and not so dramatic. Just like those ignorant people who eat meat, many are pardoned because they simply are unaware. So in this case, you are also pardoned. The search engines of most platforms immediately prompt information dispersed by media moguls so, how could you possibly know the anti-narrative?
Hey Joey you should make a UA-cam Poll asking your subscribers if they are already vegan, transitioning or are not vegan. The results would be really interesting
Joey Just goes goes goes, Never stops for The Animals:))) We Love You!!!!
@@kingdaleclarke nice argument man you really got him! Lol
Thank you for everything you do, Joey
I love you, man.
This lady "It's possible?" That was so cute and funny lol.
It's amazing now how when he stops people they are vegan and know you . Xx
Great job Joey!!
Why is nobody wearing masks? Isn't it terrible in the UK right now?
@Iron Gamer the U.K. is in fact proof of the contrary
@@essexitagermeng5504 that's why the UK just passed 100,000 deaths from covid-19.
In the U.K. the authorities are afraid of the childish, selfish, idiotic, aggressive herd. Besides, some of them claim to be ‘exempt’ and so legally justified for not wearing a mask. It’s like kindergarden! It’s a joke, as if the virus knew you’re ‘exempt’ so it skips you! It’s herd’s power over safety and rights of the conscientious, honest citizens. Besides we’re supposed to be in national lockdown, i.e. only going out to work (if unable to work from home) and necessary food shopping, yet all this people around actively spreading the virus. They should at least take their names down and refuse them admission to hospitals if these get too full.
@@essexitagermeng5504 Yea, this is absolutely shocking to me. Where I live the cases aren't crazy, but the gov cracked down and made it compulsry to wear a mask in any store and to show our corona status via an app they made (like sick or healthy).
Because our government is a joke 😞
Joey you are an exceptional person and definitely an inspiration.
I love seeing these "handing out vegan food" video's! I think people are more open to listen and talk if you give them some food 😂. And they can taste how jummy vegan food can be at the same time, some still think we only eat sallads... 😅 Keep up the amazing work you do!
It’s a good psychological trick for sure to make someone more open minded and trusting
Don't forget the avocados and soy, we apparently only eat tons of salads with avocados and soy, that's it.
Thank you Joey! Peace and love to all animals!😢😢😢❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏
Haven’t had vegan bacon in so long, and cooking some while watching this 🤣
At first I thought you said bacon I didn’t see vegan bacon the first time I read that. So I was like wow a anti vegan troll who actually has the balls to show what he looks like! Then I read it again and realized you were vegan. Of course I was wrong none of these anti vegan trolls will ever be man enough to show what they look like lol
It is very difficult to find vegan products in my country. I do not have vegan products instead of milk, meat and eggs. But I am vegan💚 I love animals more than my meals ❤️
Even my non-vegan mates buy THIS isn't bacon. It's 10/10
My bf isn't vegan but definitely loves it when I cook!
"I'm confident, but it's just the explaining part I can't do..." = DELUISION
Also, Joey's hitting that debate sweet spot.
Respect for sharing the vegan love Joey
The guy in the hoodie "animals are like robots" ..😳
What the heck
I’ve never had vegan bacon, they don’t sell it here, I do want to try it, I hate the normal bacon is gross.
I remember my first time tasting bacon. It was my last. I was taken aback by the amount of fat and salt, it wasn't edible.
You can make your own with seitan, it's a bit of a process but you can make a big block of it to freeze or keep in the fridge, have a watch; ua-cam.com/video/vEF0-sjeWmw/v-deo.html
Eating dead animal corpses is the most gross thing I can think of! I’d rather starve myself. I never understood this barbaric diet
Everyone needs to watch Dominion!
Why would you not be vegan when there’s delicious vegan bacon!! 😋
because the real thing is better
Because it costs £25/kg?
I wish this was done in America.
It would be great content to watch as well.
Benny the Vegan and Hudson Tarlow are a few. There's probably more if you search UA-cam for vegan street activism.
Earthling Ed has also gone to some colleges in US.
@@ethicalrevolution3294 Love Earthling Ed and seen the debates you talk about but I feel Joey would have a greater impact. Joey is less passive and as an American myself, I feel that that's the push we need.
just commenting for the algorithm
Good work Joey!
I love these vids but I wish the microphone quality was a bit better..
Wow brilliant! Imagine seeing Joey on TV or in a video and then running into him the next day doing a Stands For Change! Some people have all the luck!👍
Jeoy you're so cute when you cook and talk about the animal rights 🤗 lot of love from Armenia 🇦🇲
🍀💚
You are a phenomenal activist. Thank you for all you do for the animals.
I want a vegan free sandwich!! Always amazing!!!😘😘😘
When people ask me "what do you eat?" I ask them what their favourite meals are and let them know they can eat all those meals but vegan. Simples.
Spag bol, bangers and mash, lasagne, Indian, Thai, Burgers and chips, shepherd's pie, pasta, ... yep you can have them all but vegan! Its so easssyyyy.
I could have put up with the music, if it wasn’t so tone deaf awful 😂
Great work Joey.
Im like that lad when I try telling other people about veganism, i know all the information but my mind just goes blank.
Can always refer them to some videos or get back to them with your responses. I am the same, I saw enough videos, read articles and had conversations that helped me understand that being vegan was the right way to be, however I can’t recall all the facts and stats when asked.
Maybe I should make a cue card and keep it in my wallet..
Oh my that guy slamming the little piglet into the floor...what a darling he is.
He's a weak gutless POS
This has to be a vegan thats what i thought aswell haha
I can't stop wondering if that fur on the girls coat is real. It could help if you ask if what they're wearing is real or not. Awesome work, love the free taste test vids
Lol does covid not exists their, or are people just chill with dying
selfish ignorant people not wearing masks , my mum has covid & she's bedridden , i tested positive for corona too
@@veg4life. Yeah, it's ignorance + selfishness. Blessings to you and your mother fr.

YES, Joey in London. Sending you well wishes from a vegan Londoner and a huge follower of your activism, welcome mate. :)
I got an ad for a cow dairy thingy 😂🤢
for some reason i get mc donals chicken nuggets ads like why man im a fking vegan xD
i guess the algorithm for ads isnt so smart after all
These videos are always great but isn’t England suffering a lot right now with the pandemic? Wouldn’t it be better to postpone doing these videos for a while? I would watch you either way, Joey, but the pandemic is worsening everywhere. Vegans gotta be alive and healthy to help the animals
Joey you are awesome! The best voice for animals! You are helping the world change 🌱
wow, can't believe there are so many vegans in the video, so stoked to know that !
Amazing work buddy.
Love from India ❤️
i 👏 want👏 part👏 two👏 now👏
I’m sure Joey is working on right now lol
Thank you for all your work, so inspiring 🥰
I think this guy is not honest with himself so he can continue his eating habits. Changing is exhausting and people usually avoid it. Changing behaviors is way more complex than seeing and knowing the truth and acting on it. People are sooo good in forgetting just to continue their life as it is. It takes time to change for some, he'll might get there one day
Path of least resistance. Exactly
He’s got some growing up to do. His smirk says it all.
Algorithm do your thing ✊
Great video as always Joey!
There was a time, when people thought, that children shouldn't have the same rights as adults. It was never right, but it took a long time to change people's minds. We shouldn't wait no longer to give animals the rights they deserve. 🌱💚
Well, this video worked on me. Watched it last week, had a this is not bacon sandwich this morning.
It looks and smells a little funky but tastes great, really hit the spot. Delicious
I was the biggest meateater last year so I love these products
Good on you mate!
