Kinda sad how Kyle released a video 1 hr prior to this one and he has 5x the amount of likes and more then twice the amount of views considering this channel has over a million subscribers
Hmm I vastly prefer when Kyle explains it himself... he has a certain way of saying things far superior to just reading so unfortunately I gotta give this one a 👎
I am one of the people who doesn't get brain freeze. Instead, I get a biting cold sensation in my chest that leaves me gasping for air. It is a similar sensation to when you jump into freezing water. Weird thing is, my reaction to be in freezing water is not the same as would be expected either. Instead, I feel hot all over...
i love icecream. also I have a high resistance to and tolerance for brain freeze, so even if i do get it, it won't stop me from INHALING a delicious waffle cone with 2 big scoops of Goodrich icecream at subway in around a couple minutes. seriously, if you like icecream, you absolutely need to try a waffle cone at subway, it's amazing. also, i don't work for them, i just REALLY love the food there, and with everyone having to stay home because of covid 19, i haven't had subway for way too long.
I was watching Avengers: End Game just to pass time and I came part where tony gave Cap the sheild before morgan used it sledding. I am curious if because science could explain the pros and cons using Caps Shield for sledding.
in order to read all the info you guys are giving out i either have to pasue at time or watch at .75 speed. Can you slow down the video a bit or something, the default speed is just a tad too fast.
How about that weird feeling between pain and something else (like being hit with a reaaaaally slow lighting but in your mouth and brain) that you get when you have a first bite of anything after waking up. It gets stronger the sweeter it is what you're eating.
Before I read the video I'm gonna try to remember what I studies. That brain freeze happens because when you eat to much cold stuff you arteries restrict because cold. Then to equalise blood flow they stretch to allow more blood to go through. The stretch is what you feel as a brain freeze. Kind of like sprinting a 400m on muscles you haven't warmed up.
Here's something weird - I get 'Brain Freeze' from eating Ice-Cream too quickly. However, I can chomp on Ice cubes endlessly without problem... so much so my mouth can go quite numb.
Well that's weird, I get migranes every now and again (and I've been told my symptoms are really weird too, like it's almost more the symptoms of a blood clot in my brain, whatever that's called in English) but I hardly ever get brain freeze, like I think I've gotten brain freeze once maybe twice in all my 19 years of living... It kinda makes me wonder if the doctor that identified my weird symptoms as a migraine perhaps was wrong... I mean I know I don't have a brain blood clot because they did an MRI and they said it was fine but still
while I do get migraines sometimes I was never able to trigger brain freeze, ever since I saw it on step by step and had no idea what it was, I was curious and wanted to try it out, but I was never able to trigger the brain freeze no matter how fast I tried to eat the ice cream :) my mouth and teeth couldn't take the cold anymore but still no brain freeze.. so I don't see the link there

I KNEW IT all my friends legit would flip when I told them I've never gotten a brain freeze, turns out I just got a really dense nerve that don't wanna do nothin
A great way to stop brain freeze is to drink a liquid that's warmer than whatever caused the freeze. So, water, coffee, etc. Stops it almost instantly for me.
Only a couple of weeks after Kyle escapes the Void and there’s a global pandemic that shuts down the world economy. I’m not saying supervillain, but.....supervillain.

Ugh... not the same without Kyle. No flare, No soul. Cant even compare. He made because science what it is and now it will never be the same. THANK THE GODS he has his own channel now.
1:44 - "Drink something warm" - BE CAREFUL! If you eat something cold like ice-cream then quickly follow it with something hot like coffee or hot-chocolate, you could cause your teeth to crack from thermal-stress. That permanent damage to your teeth is MUCH worse than having a headache for a few seconds.
Completely unrelated to anything, but I wanted to express an idea that I just had, as a suggestion for a possible future video on this channel. If an asteroid the size of Texas, struck the Earth at, say, half the speed of the Earth, what would happen? I would suppose that such an event would eventually result in the destruction of the entire solar system; let me explain. Without doing any math or research, here’s my guess: The initial impact of the asteroid against the Earth would start a chain reaction. First, the Earth would become a ball of lava, without oceans or an atmosphere. That ball of lava which used to be the Earth, would not be orbiting the sun as it used to. Eventually, the Moon would strike this ball of lava, and that impact would reduce both objects to dust. And that’s not even the worst. The absence of the Earth’s gravitational field in the solar system, would eventually cause every other planet to either strike the sun, or be ejected into interstellar space. Because Science.

Hey Nerdist. I appreciate that it might be hard to find a replacement for Kyle but know that some of us will be staying with the channel because we know you can still put out great content. Great video, my only issue was the music. It cut into the content a bit too much and made it hard to think about what I was reading. I'm sorry that all of this happened. Whatever it was. Your voice will sound deeper to yourself than it does to others because the inside of your head will create reverb from your voice.
