That seems to be a recurring theme of The Owl House: Mending broken relationships. Painful wrongs done by one person to another that they cared about in the past are not easy to forgive them for all at once like nothing happened. Sometimes it may take longer to fully patch things up. For example, there's Amity rebuilding her relationship with her father and her friendship with Willow. Amity and Alador aren't fully forgiven lickety-split in the moments they apologize for their wrongs, but it is a start. The same goes for Eda and Lilith.
This is one of the most beautiful scenes in the entire series. Lillith finally makes up for her actions, sharing her sisterly love and commitment, burning away her own magic to save the sister she wronged. It's so incredibly sweet - Lillith finally is starting to redeem herself, for all the wrongs she has done in her life, and starting in the most impactful and truest way.

The curse cant be healed, everyone certainly tried but to no avain, all they could do is manage it or in this case split the curse so it wouldent be as strong.
