Bård started dating his future wife at age 15. She was 16. (How sweet:) 4 years later their 1st child was born. Vegard and his lovely wife have been a couple for 12 years, married after 10:) This solid background keeps them both down to earth in a time they could easily have found themselves flying high trying to reach for the stars and start using drugs (no they were not on drugs making The Fox;) and compromise themselves to fly even higher. Too many people are already caught in that trap:(
I strongly recommend you (as big Ylvis fan from Poland) see another their songs like: Cabin, Stonehenge, Someone Like Me, Trucker's Hitch, Mr. Toot, My name is Finn etc etc etc They are comedian and they have so funny pranks, interviews with strange people, great funny talk show - not focus on this one song :)
Bård is kind of fooling around with his name here. Usually he presents himself as Bår, with a silent d. He made a point out of it in the commentator track of Ylvis III, when another guy on set was named Bård as well, but he was from Oslo and presented himself as Bård, with a loud and clear d at the end:)
My sons name is Vegard. Hopefully these guys are going to be really famous, so everybody will know how to pronounce that name... When traveling abroad people have a hard time trying to say it right...
In their videos, it sounds like they introduce themselves as "Vehgah" and "Bohr" (phonetically, that's as close as I can get to how it sounds). Is that correct? If I'm ever lucky enough to meet them, I want to say it right, lol!
The thing everyone does wrong when they say Vegard is that they lay pressure on the a, but i should be on the e. Like "Veegarr" and Bård is pronounced Board, like in skateboard
I feel the same way. These ladies are so creepy. They don't take Ylvis seriously and I get the feeling that they were trying to make them drunk or something?
Anyone who wants to see more from Ylvis or is curious about norwegian (that is understandable for foreigners) comedy should check out my "Norwegian Comedy" playlist! :D
Hmm, i only know that i pronounces all the Bårds i know (three ;)) with a d. and i am from Oslo. I thought people from Bergen pronounced it without? Maby i'm wrong....
No what I meant was he was together with her for 16 years and finally got married last year... Btw he has 3 kids! his brother vegard is oso married and has 2 kids
This will probably make me sound like an old, stiff git, but... - for those here who are trying to learn Norwegian, 'djaa' is not the way to pronounce 'ja' (yes), not even in their dialect - the guys are just messing with them. Although - we sometimes say 'tja' - but that's more of a hesitant 'ja', when you're not sure of something, or how to respond. "Do I look fat in this dress?" "Tja...". ;)
Hei!
Börd and Vegard lied about not wanting a hit song because they are comedians .... they have a song called Janym which came from a segment on their show called "Big in Kyrgyzstan" wherein they went to the capitol if Kyrgyzstan and recorded a hit song ..... they played it at a wedding reception even
didnt say they did mean to on this one but what they said was basically "why would we want a hit song were comedians" ... this one was a joke that went viral
I think that the "Big in Kyrgyzstan" and "Janym" was ment to be hit, but just in Kyrgystan and it was also just a joke, they wanted to know if it's possible. They didn't mean to be famous in the whole world.
I'm scratching my head as well here... I do actually belive i have a few friends that pronounce Bård without d, even if they are from Østlandet. But just listen to Harald Eia when he talks to his friend... It's a D for sure. And i agree, Bård Y should pronounce his name without the d :))

Ylvis are quick-witted and hilarious but Hoda and Kathie Lee are insufferable.
Vegard and Bård are the ones consuming the alcohol, but the interviewers are the ones feeling its effects lol
Thank god they're funny enough to make up for those hosts, I can't stand them!! Good on them for bringing their own jokes in.
They don't look very impressed with American fame, they're so down to earth its awesome
I strongly recommend you (as big Ylvis fan from Poland) see another their songs like: Cabin, Stonehenge, Someone Like Me, Trucker's Hitch, Mr. Toot, My name is Finn etc etc etc

My sons name is Vegard. Hopefully these guys are going to be really famous, so everybody will know how to pronounce that name... When traveling abroad people have a hard time trying to say it right...

1:19 Vegard is like: O god, Who are these Loonies!?
it must be weird for them because they interview so many people on their show, but now they're the ones being interviewed.
My heart always breaks when I hear they're married
Yes, dear. I know:)
Yeah... We are good at doing that....

Don't worry, we think so too.
How many kids do they have?

Ok Bård seems drunk towards end! Hahaha and all heart broken he got married alr! Just last year to his 16 year sweetheart!
I wish you good luck bros I hope you make more anti-hits hehehe :)
"Fabio" and "Gerard's urine sample?" Gah. And wine with a straw? Hahahahaha. How gauche.

I like how there's a tiny flood warning message at the top and these fuckin guys are the big topic
wow these are TERRIBLE hosts! cringing the whole time.
«I married in Stand»
I feel the same way. These ladies are so creepy. They don't take Ylvis seriously and I get the feeling that they were trying to make them drunk or something?
4:07 "taken? For now" what did they mean by "taken"?
"Taken" means "already in a relationship"
Are these women chitchatting at the saloon or are they hosting a news show?
Bård! Nei bar!!!
They have been together for 16 years. Since age 15.
haha the huge beverages make them look tiny
Search for Ylvis - Nations of the World.
Anyone who wants to see more from Ylvis or is curious about norwegian (that is understandable for foreigners) comedy should check out my "Norwegian Comedy" playlist! :D
ugh why do they have to be married :( I love Bård (the guy with brown hair) he's cute :)
And in the end of the interview Bård seems drunk hahahahaah
I wish there were a way to mute them and only hear what Ylvis is saying. Ha!
Also just realized I spelled mortified wrong in my first comment. >.>
1:31 " We love guys like you"Oh shit no don't begin with such a sentence ladies this going the wrong way...
?? I do belive most people in Norway pronounces the d in Bård... Well apart from people who comes from the western part of Norway ;))
Hmm, i only know that i pronounces all the Bårds i know (three ;)) with a d. and i am from Oslo. I thought people from Bergen pronounced it without? Maby i'm wrong....
3:23 interviewer heard something else...
No what I meant was he was together with her for 16 years and finally got married last year... Btw he has 3 kids! his brother vegard is oso married and has 2 kids
super funny odd and board
I was only a baby when Bård first dated his wife. Not much I can do about that. He's already WAY far gone. LOL
Think we gotta rephrase to girlfriend for 16 years :)

No, they really didn't mean to make a hit song.

Am I the only one who noticed they have very neutral facial expressions
*Hoda not Hata, but that's ok because everyone keeps messing up their names.
Jepp
I'm from the east and pronounce it Bår'... But I know swedish doesn't have a silent 'd'...
annoying? I like America. I want to live in California someday
Vegard has 2 kids and Bård 3

Here you can see pics of him, his wife and his kids :) tv2.no/underholdning/gkn/viste-fram-familien-paa-premiere-4128409.html
I am from Vestern NorwY, but I always pronounce the d i Bård. Sounds so weird to say Bår..!!!
