W a black light little things like the method used to paint the midsole or thread used around the toe box will illuminate different allowing you to see the differences that the counterfeiters overlooked. Makes it a lot easier if you have a pair you know is legit to compare it to.

Jordan 1s have been perfected for the most part by replica companies... so much so that they usually look better than the originals! Jordan brand has way too many variations from 1 pair to the next, and it’s making the replica pairs damn near as real as the authentic pairs!
sad thing is that the quality control on these was the worst i’ve seen in years. on some shoes it would have super buttery leather, and then another pair would have almost smooth stiff leather. the color of the suede would vary from a dark chocolate brown to a light brown. some of the size tags came with QR codes and some just came with the regular jumpman tag. the worst thing was the cactus jack logo in the heel. ive had multiple pairs of travis scott 1s and every single cactus jack logo was different, one logo was the same shade all around, another one had dark shaded parts, and one had a super shallow logo to the point where it was difficult to see it in different lightings. i even had to stop buying travis scott jordan 1s unless it came with some type of receipt from nike because of how easy it could be for someone to slip a fake in and i’d probably never notice

Ik this may sound dumb but if you are talking abt the gaps of the stitching and by the swoosh , let’s say I’m buying a smaller replica shoe size then the one you are showing us in this video , will the replica still have that big gap stitching by the swoosh if it’s a smaller size or even if it’s a bigger shoe size ? Will the stitching measurements change ?
i feel like these aren’t very air tight arguments. there are some differences but overall unless you’re looking at them super closely they look the same
great vid man! first time checking out the channel. A lot of good info. Like others have said the quality control from Nike on these were abysmal. I got 1 from TS website and 1 from Footaction in Chicago. The ones I grabbed from Chicago were like rookie of the year quality with bred to leather on the toebox if that makes sense. The ones I got from TS website were MUCH better quality that it is almost noticeable just by looking at them. suede/nubuck was nicer and softer, toebox leather was tumbled and super soft. Also TS pair the stitching is close to the Nike sign. FA pair is farther away. It sucks that nike didn't do a better job being consistent with these so fakes would be more easily spotted.
Does the fake pair have the codes? When I say codes.... there’s a code stamped in the lid of the box on authentic pairs. It’s faint cause the inner box lid is red but the code is there. To my knowledge, fakes don’t have that stamp. Also inside the shoe below the insole there is also a code stamped on authentic pairs & not fakes. Those are my two tell tale signs. There’s too many differences/inconsistencies as far as real pairs go so you can’t base what’s real off of stitching (gap), materials & barcodes. I’ve seen authentic pairs straight from SNKRS with that gap between the swoosh. So you seeing someone wearing a pair & thinking that’s fake because of the gap is dead wrong. Like I said, too many inconsistencies between authentic pairs straight from Jordan Brand/Nike. But those stamps/codes? Now that’s the tell tale. I’ve yet to see a fake pair with either. You can’t see either when the shoes are on foot but if your buying & the shoes in question don’t have them? Run!!!

First of all go look at hypebeast jay’s video Where he made a comparison with fake and real Travis Scott’s the real one the stitching on the big swoosh overlapped the stitching so you really can’t go by the stitching or the space between the stitching and the switch to determine if it’s fake or real
You did not mention the holes on the toe box they should be close on the tip. Yours is not, even the reps but i don’t say yours is fake. we have the same pair, the difference of our pair is how the holes close on the tip and my pair has the same gap of stitching from the reps you show, so basically stitching is not a big deal to determine a pair is fake.
If you're gonna cop Deadstock for $1000+ vs $100+ and you have to do a damn near taste test to tell the difference...your a boss for buying the UA. Believe me Nike don't care.

Jordan 1s have been perfected for the most part by replica companies... so much so that they usually look better than the originals! Jordan brand has way too many variations from 1 pair to the next, and it’s making the replica pairs damn near as real as the authentic pairs!
sad thing is that the quality control on these was the worst i’ve seen in years. on some shoes it would have super buttery leather, and then another pair would have almost smooth stiff leather. the color of the suede would vary from a dark chocolate brown to a light brown. some of the size tags came with QR codes and some just came with the regular jumpman tag. the worst thing was the cactus jack logo in the heel. ive had multiple pairs of travis scott 1s and every single cactus jack logo was different, one logo was the same shade all around, another one had dark shaded parts, and one had a super shallow logo to the point where it was difficult to see it in different lightings. i even had to stop buying travis scott jordan 1s unless it came with some type of receipt from nike because of how easy it could be for someone to slip a fake in and i’d probably never notice

Ik this may sound dumb but if you are talking abt the gaps of the stitching and by the swoosh , let’s say I’m buying a smaller replica shoe size then the one you are showing us in this video , will the replica still have that big gap stitching by the swoosh if it’s a smaller size or even if it’s a bigger shoe size ? Will the stitching measurements change ?

great vid man! first time checking out the channel. A lot of good info. Like others have said the quality control from Nike on these were abysmal. I got 1 from TS website and 1 from Footaction in Chicago. The ones I grabbed from Chicago were like rookie of the year quality with bred to leather on the toebox if that makes sense. The ones I got from TS website were MUCH better quality that it is almost noticeable just by looking at them. suede/nubuck was nicer and softer, toebox leather was tumbled and super soft. Also TS pair the stitching is close to the Nike sign. FA pair is farther away. It sucks that nike didn't do a better job being consistent with these so fakes would be more easily spotted.
I paid resale for a pair from a trusted seller but since quality control ass I always get anxiety of them being fake for some reason

Does the fake pair have the codes? When I say codes.... there’s a code stamped in the lid of the box on authentic pairs. It’s faint cause the inner box lid is red but the code is there. To my knowledge, fakes don’t have that stamp. Also inside the shoe below the insole there is also a code stamped on authentic pairs & not fakes. Those are my two tell tale signs. There’s too many differences/inconsistencies as far as real pairs go so you can’t base what’s real off of stitching (gap), materials & barcodes.
I’ve seen authentic pairs straight from SNKRS with that gap between the swoosh. So you seeing someone wearing a pair & thinking that’s fake because of the gap is dead wrong. Like I said, too many inconsistencies between authentic pairs straight from Jordan Brand/Nike. But those stamps/codes? Now that’s the tell tale. I’ve yet to see a fake pair with either. You can’t see either when the shoes are on foot but if your buying & the shoes in question don’t have them? Run!!!

Pretty much, the same designs and materials are all other select factories across china. Anybody who understands the QC grading scale will understand a real and a fake shoe. Also tbh the rep games changing and china is getting way better at the craft.

You did not mention the holes on the toe box they should be close on the tip. Yours is not, even the reps but i don’t say yours is fake. we have the same pair, the difference of our pair is how the holes close on the tip and my pair has the same gap of stitching from the reps you show, so basically stitching is not a big deal to determine a pair is fake.
If you're gonna cop Deadstock for $1000+ vs $100+ and you have to do a damn near taste test to tell the difference...your a boss for buying the UA. Believe me Nike don't care.
