Mailerdiablo, if you have the time you might want to go Bukit Timah plaza to film the last almost completely original 1970s bubble lift in Singapore. Schindler has replaced the 2 service lifts in the mall, and Schindler is heavily modernising one of the bubble lifts in the set of two. The lift being modernised would be completed in about a month so if you have the time and don’t mind going there I suggest you go there as soon as possible. The cargo lift for NTUC has been modernised by 9G while the lifts in the apartments have been modernised by KONE, leaving the Mitsubishi bubble lift to be the most original lift left in the complex and the most original 1970s bubble lift left in Singapore. As far as I can tell the bubble lift just has its door bumpers replaced and exterior indicators and call buttons replaced. But soon that lift would be gone when Schindler modernises that lift very heavily. The bubble lift being modernised has been shut down since November 2019 but as the modernisation is really very heavy and due to COVID, the modernisation is still not complete yet. However time is running out as Schindler has already fitted all the buttons in the lift cab and the interior indicator is working, so the remaining bubble lift would definitely go by February 2021.
