BSG didn't mention that they also changed where you spawn in PvE. In factory this morning, I spawned underneath near the tech crate and was immediately shot at by a scav who spawned right next to me in the 1st second. I actually heard the scav shout while my screen was still black, so they've got some work to do. And because of the new PMC behavior, which has definitely made them more challenging and fun to fight, it's also resulting in some wonky situations where 7 PMCs are stacked up in a single stairwell and you get a triple grenade kill by accident.

I agree this is just annoying for people that got used to where the most used "character" tab is. Quick hotfix and 1 neusance gone.

The AI update for PvE is pretty scuffed. On interchange, the moment you make contact with any AI you will be swarmed for the rest of the raid. Every raid my group did each of us had killed at least 15 scavs each and a couple PMC’s. It’s honestly too much, not in difficulty but just annoyance. I can’t even loot what I kill because it’s just a never ending wave of scavs
Yeah just download the Singleplayer Tarkov mod, when you add the submods for AI it makes it WAY superior to PvE mode in vanilla
SPT is the only way to go rn for PVE tarkov
I agree, it has gotten hard to complete tasks because the first 2/3-3/4 of the raid is spent holed up defending, ending raids with no ammo left, over 20kills, and still needing to do the tasks is annoying.
I have found that using suppressed weapons helps marginally, but if the scabs start shooting it’ll still draw others in.
For me, night time and suppressed has been the biggest help to mitigate hordes
@@gsfblocker3558 it feels like that’s how every raid ends for us lol. No ammo, 15 kills each, we’ve barely moved in the last 20 minutes, a backpack full of loot and no quests completed lol.
@@gsfblocker3558 the economy and loot tables in pve are insanely broken. I had 20 million roubles before level 25 running interchange. I will be continuing my SPT play through until they make PVE mode more like live tarkov.

Great video as always Pest! Def think a lot of these changes will help more so when the wipe happens and more people come back to the game. Hopefully it will retain more people for longer
At the moment the hold and release button we use for meds drop down menu seems to be bugged, can't get the menu out and scroll, nor the mag menu.
That said, in PvE, raids are much more fun and challenging now. Although it does get a bit unhinged when scavs spawn in near you (or got attracted by noise), or a minute after you passed through an area to shoot you in the back. They'll try to close in from 100 meters away of you injured them or come investigate the noise
Those PvE raids are freaking me out. I did a scav run and right from the start I heard shooting and grenades going off everywhere. I get to where I heard most of the noise and find at least 6 bodies and a bloody trail that eventually lead to a dead pmc. It seems that PMCs are moving through the map now.
@@kennytendo7255You should play the Singleplayer Tarkov mod, there's submods for the AI that make them WAY superior to "vanilla" Tarkov, it makes the AI feel more like actual players with different types of AI (like, you get "Chad" PMCs that like to push, and you get "Timmies" that like to run away from fights...it's more complex than that, but you get the drift). They loot bodies and even do quests, as well as then try to extract. It feels natural, and honestly PvE vanilla Tarkov is still much farther from competing. Installing the mods are pretty easy, I would advise looking it up just type in "SPT Tarkov"
They also introduced what Nikita said befor - decreased leveling of Skills (at least in PVE). My strength is 45 in PVE and it starts the raid with 36% leveling speed instead of 129%.

@@tnima95 well, you already get the gold indicator icon on items that are quest related. So probably redundant.

i would like to see barters that pop up only when on a specific quest to allow people to work towards completing said quests without having to wait for the level unlocks or items that are always sold out immediatly. They could balance it by marking the item as a quest specific item and only allowing you to have one of the quest item at a time so you cant just buy like 40 of a really powerful item when you get the quest. Some items are just so hard to get without being lucky.
These updates seem amazing! Im still waiting for a way to fix scopes so the game doesnt render the screen twice, but this are all nice additions still!
Just played a few practice offline raid with ai set to high and there is definitely more ai spawning at a faster rate with less impact on fps they also seem to be moving around more and are more aggressive. This is awesome. I usually get 7-14 kills on my little factory practice runs. this time i got 24 sometimes there was 3 of them in a group stacked together making for easy chain kills.
3:20 I just did a PvE customs raid and went stronghold lookin for Cultists, Goons, or Rashala. The scav spawns they have are set to spawn a little ways away from you, but not too far. I ended up sitting in stronghold packin mags, and right as I'd get a mag packed, 6+ would spawn and I would have to kill them. Ended up with my first 60+ kill raid on PvE so things get a little freaky if you get into one of those spawn loops with scav army like I did.
In PvE scavs and PMC can spawn in food area, did jump over on boxes into food area and PMC was already there almost to the far corner. PvE just got harder and I love it.

I just crammed 46 hit count with 7.62x39 PS ammo. 1264 dmg done. On 3 rushing PMC's on PvE. 1 was a kill. Nice ammo bro.
Now if the quests have the required items listed in the quest so you can wishlist them itd be perfect. Big step in the right direction though
@@Fishman362 they already do kind of? When you find a quest item it has a special symbol and when you hover it, the item will say what quest it’s required for. Or you can wishlist it under the task list.
Hopefully they will move the Survey Tab, and Wishlist button locations.
Right now the Survey Tab is on the old Stash Tab location, so I miss click it constantly.
And the Wishlist button has replaced Inspect button, so I'll miss click that a lot as well.
about perception skill they just should make it that the steps that are in my hearing range get lounder because im more "trained" in hearing them basically just like a deer who hears a stick break to make you more alerted but hearing further makes no sense

My favorite part of the patch so far is backend error. Super awesome update!
Going off of the idea about in game polls, maybe level lock them too so that only people who have unlocked the flea market can answer them. That way it would stop cheesing early game progression but also reflect the players who actually play the game and not the guys who hop on on wipe day and then stop playing.

Think BSG have been looking at what the most popular SPT mods are and integrating them in the game, but with enough differences so they can't be accused of just copy and pasting.

Actually the reason for the Solo server fix is because lots of people were getting disconnected from solo raids, and since there were no other players left in that server it would shut the match down and kill their characters with an MIA.

Im so happy the PvE raid timers are normal. I can get more loot while I quest and not feel way rushed like on lighthouse.

Only got to play one PVE raid last night before having to go to bed to get up for work. Seems excellent. Loaded into Interchange in like 30 seconds, AI seemed better. So far so good.
Great patch for Pve. Load in times are so much better and AI movement is much more natural

I understood the PvE AI adjustments to mean that Scavs and PMCs will loot your stuff and extract with it... is this incorrect?
I imagine for PVE the raid is over once you die. Maybe I'm wrong. Getting everything back in insurance is broken but like for the new quest where you have to wear the armor getting it back will be the only way I'll be able to do the quest for awhile. Spears will also be like 10 mill on the flea haha
Pmcs will loot, not scavs. Makes the game have more interactions. Would be boring if the pmcs just walked around and did nothing. Now if you kill them they could have good loot!

@@XIADSX Scavs were actually already looting before, albeit not very much. They'd yoink stuff from bodies and crates every now and then though. However, they don't seem to be able to pick things up off the ground so if they come to steal your loot while running a scav, you can just discard everything then loot it. lol
Hopefully BSG can get the AI on par with the SAIN mod for SPT
They're FAR from that, so I dunno...though, I do think that BSG feels threatened by SPT, so that's a good thing if they feel like they're challenged and thus have to compete

Mark of the Unheard is not worth it in my opinion. I can see it being useful if you don't want Sniper Scav shooting at you, but most of the time you are going to accidentally cross into the 50 meter radius of a Scav's aggro range and negate the effects of it anyway. Also, it's real easy to forget you have it equipped, kill a bunch of Scavs, and then realize you just like like .10 reputation or something.
Scavs attracted to gunfire in PvP! Hmmm, wont this just result in players getting a good position, firing shots into the air, then killing every scav that shows up until the server is empty?

They need to add another wishlist marker named "Flea Wishlist", wich is the only one that gets shown on flea wishlist. bc i only want certain items to be seen there, items that i need ever raid, like stims, food and drink and such.
i dont want those items to light up in raid or anything.
i do not like this new wishlist system as it hjas totaly removed my fela wishlist i had.

Seems like these quests aren’t going to be completed by a large majority of the player base.
On the pvp side at least. If people get experience in doing them at their own pace on pve, they might be enticed to try it in pvp against players especially if the pve AI is beefed up to believable levels.

Them surveys with in game rewards are a good idea to sort out the haters and non players from the people that play and care
PvE scavs already run to gun shots that and when you engage them they have a chance of spawning an ass ton of them.
Pmc’s sit with scavs and are best friends and will team up against you so I hope they fix that aspect of the ai

PVE local raids have reduced my fps by atleast 35%. I went from 144+ frames in factory to 90 frames with constant stuttering. Solo PVE is unplayable ATM.

If you’re hosting the match yourself it isn’t surprising you’re losing frames. Plus with the AI getting an update it would also put more load onto your cpu

90 frames is not unplayable. I've played a lot of SPT and it has always been common to get stuttering when bots are spawning in. I imagine it's similar in BSG's version of PvE.

In PvE, after i finish a raid and get X amound of XP, it'll show the XP bar roll over to the next level.. then return to the home screen and check my character, and all the f'n XP disappeared and im at the same level i entered as.
Ive about quit this game a few times, but for f sake.. BSG could screw up a wet dream.

Reset my pve account and now I'm getting an authorization error when booting up tarkov. Anyone dealing with the same issue?
Not from this, but I've had this before. Just close it out and keep opening it. It seems to happen when I use my 2nd computer.

The pve ai behaviour change made ground zero even more obnoxious than it was befor. Since the map is so small any unsupressed shots attract half the map, which in turn attracks the other half when they shoot. Trying to help a buddy throufh starter quests since he wiped his pve, and it wasent fun, pmc's throwing some willerz level nades befor they ever make a sound (comtacs 4 aint picking it up), which then attracks the boss and his guards.
Playing as a scav is like rogue hunting on lighthouse, once you shoot one, theyre all aggro'd and will shoot the second you come in line of sight reguardless of distance.
Despite the issues and it realisticaly being too easy, i was still having fun with pve, probly gonna take a break now till this gets fixed as its genuinly frustrating to play against, getting swarmed every game, having to bring 600 rounds and playing dodge the nades from behind cover since scavs dont shoot ar ai pmc's, ai pmc's dont shoot at each other, and once aggrod on you ai pmc's dont shoot at scavs
Tbh, I don't think they'll ever fix it. This update shows that they don't understand what any PVE player is looking for. PVE will turn out just like Arena. It might just take a bit longer. lol
Just download the Singleplayer Tarkov mod, there's submods for the AI that basically emulate the PvP vanilla game where the AI loot, do quests, and extract like players do, and they even have different archetypes where AI PMCs will act different ways based on what archetype they are; it makes it so that you can have groups of AI PMCs, so like two stacks to even four man teams, they'll even talk to each other and give orders to flank and whatnot. Overall just much superior AI when you get the right mods, they just work right off without needing to mess with settings.
Combine that with other mods like the Realism mod (if you want a challenge, obviously if you don't want it it's all up to you), mods for more guns and attachments, more gear items, getting to have all clothing available to purchase, etc and it becomes basically like an singleplayer survival RPG in a way. Oh and, there's another submod called "Fika", and guess what it does? It lets you play co-op with your friends! So, not only can you do raids by yourself with loading times for matches of usually LESS THAN 30 SECONDS for all maps, you can do it with your friends too with the same super low loading times, it's never going to be more than a minute...it basically spools a local server on the host's PC, and using Hamachi you connect your friend's PC to your own and voila...you have a FREE co-op experience with superior AI and superior game mechanics with ton more content

Those quest lines that allow you to unlock like bigger pmc pockets better not be required for kappa or you're basically telling me I shouldn't have paid $250 because I need to do them anyways. That will seriously piss me off. We will see...

Do they still barely shoot scavs because from the changes they listed, it sounded like a bunch of changes were made that all technically have a negative effect like stealing your potential loot. Not that the changes weren't needed but that they didn't make the positive changes required to counter the negatives at the same time.

@@iDeaglesthey are shooting them a lot more now. As soon as I load in I hear consistent gunfire for awhile and keep passing dead scavs. Is gets more sparse as the raid goes on but I see and hear them killing scavs way more.

Is pve preformance worse now?
Probably for some. It starts a local instance if you are going into a raid as a PMC, but if you are loading in as a scav it's still a server instance so your frames should technically be better as a scav if anything. I would say your frames would be better as a PMC on streets as well given loading into that map is still a server instance but it's streets so probably not.
Dont play tarkov in summer. I wont put myself through that mental abuse when the sun shines

A Message that a Person you reported got banned is the BIGGEST Reward, No need to give Currency it makes the Reporting system Worse because it muddens the water to find the real Cheaters because more People will get reported.
Im not Playing Tarkov but it doesn't just apply for Tarkov.
You also shouldnt get anything back that you lost to a cheater because same rule applys here. Just Deal with it and hope he gets banned after reporting him.
In my Opinion an Honor System is a good thing FOR Example. IF you FALSE Report your honor gets down and if you get a Cheater your Honor gets up.
The More HOnor you have the higher is the chance that your report will be put to overwatch, if you Honor gets super low then your report becomes meaningless.
AND THEN they could think about a reward system for High HONOR. or Just leave it as a stat in your Options so you can show it so someone.
7:30 you shuld report every death that its no clear anyway, untiel they give us a kill cam.... wait they cant it would show how bad the netcode is.
you must be a solo player because kill cams with groups wouldn't work.
@@jeffwight6170The replay would be available AFTER the raid timer ends and all players are out. That way no one gets real time info through the kill cam, yet you get to watch it for what its worth.

@@lunarhalo6977what they need to do is something similar to csgo where they save the vods and you can see an entire game start to finish, this means that all movements of all players and npcs are saved, all the loot, everything, and then save all that in a file for review for the players. This is probably extremely costly storage wise, since even csgo only saved like 20 or 24 ticks out of 64 or 128, that's like game frames in a sense. And eft has to take into account the loot which probably adds a lot of complexity and need for storage. Otherwise it could be done. Should be done.
