- We're finally back in California and we're missing our favorite food spots! This week we take you to some of our favorite food in the bay area. We couldn't fit all of them in so maybe this will become a series. :)
Your description/explanation of In-n-out was spot on, exactly how I explain it to my out of state friends. Welcome back!
As an East Coaster I never understood the cultish craze for In-N-Out. The service is great but the food is very average. Fatburger was always my go to West Coast burger… best onion rings ever.

@@DJ-nn6vg it's kind of like why people like pho. it's not the most flavorful bowl of soup and noodles, but it's just comforting. a solid double double with a whole chili pepper is just comforting. if you're expecting the most flavorful in your face burger, of course you'll be disappointed at in n out.

I’m Vietnamese and been a chef all my life, next time try having the Bun Bo Hue with Pho noodles, so much better, it absorbs the broth better and has a better texture.
They really turned into travel bloggers with food, fishing, and scenic views mixed in. Great content

Another bakery strong recommendation when you guys are heading through Pacifica. Rosalind Bakery in the Manor Strip mall, is dang good. Welcome home !

As a Kiwi I've been told all my life from people that have traveled abroad that "you have to try Mexican food in Mexico!". It's on the to do list!

When you said you scarfed the in and out burger, I remember Josalin saying you inhale your food, which is why she takes the bite first because she knows it will disapear once you get your hands on it. I remember you saying it is because in your home growing up, there was compatitions for food between siblings.

Double double animal style is my fav fast food burger as well here in Dallas. Texan friends love their Whataburger and 5Guy over inOut.

In and out was amazing when we went to the States last year from Australia. 100x better than our fast food here.

I don't find myself out on the peninsula too often, but if I'm ever in the area, I will always stop by Coconuts in Palo Alto for some chicken patties. Everyone always talks about Jamaican beef patties, but I think the chicken patties are severely underrated. I get cravings just about every month or so. Living out in central valley for a few years, you definitely start to crave the food here in the Bay. My In-N-Out order is prety similar, but I actually like the whole onion grilled on the flat top. I'll definitely have to try Cuco's some time.

I have to hit my favorite spots, when I go back to Watsonville CA, as well! Nostalgia is strong!
I go to the panadería and my favorite taco trucks and burrito restaurants. I recommend El Frijolito for burritos! 😊
Hey Taku, coffee cakes aren’t named that because they’re coffee flavored. It’s because they’re meant to be had with your hot coffee. Café con pan is the same idea.
I recommend East Bay Bakery in Dublin. Indonesian family owned and they're celebrating their 1 year anniversary/ Grand Opening. Everything is delicious but we always order their Kouign-amann everytime we visit.

I've ingrained in my kids' heads that the beach and In-N-Out are their birthrites as California natives. They love both.
If you’re ever in the San Jose area I strongly suggest you check out Bertucelli's La Villa Gourmet. Awesome Italian deli and also Clover which is a Japanese bakery!

I get double meat animal style, with a neapolitan shake, and fries. I remember when I was a kid, In N Out burgers used to have like 1/2 inch of iceburg, which helped me convince my parents that it was healthy. 😆 I gotta put Backhaus scones & Gao Viet on my list!
The next time you guys hit Bodega Bay I recommend the Freestone Bakery. Its a wood fire bakery and the scones and bread is amazing!

5 guys is 5 thumbs down. I went a couple times, and they kept messing up my order. So much grease, and highly over priced.

Great bakery French/Filipino bakery in American Canyon you guys should try out if you ever pass through! It's called La Paris off of Highway 29!
6:35 no other fast food burger place is as cheap or as fresh as IN N OUT. The hot patty with the cold lettuce 🥬 tomato 🍅 and onions 🧅 is the best!

My local tacos in the bay area are 4.75 or 3.50 depending on what kind you get, fish or meat. So 2.95 actually is a good deal...
We were lucky enough in Gainesville FL to have two In-N-Out's there. Google the history for an interesting read. It was one of the founders sisters I think. I lived there in the 70's on. Double double and the giant bag of fries. Yum Yum!

So True on the Mexican food here in NZ not a lot of authentic Mexican food. Though I have found two Mexican restaurant in Pukekohe I've tried their street tacos 🌮 there pretty good the closest things I've seen to the taco you guys have and the ones you would get Mexico, I think the main one I've been too are from Argentina. Though I would love to try crab boil with actual crab not prawns. Or even with actual yabies, or crawfish. Lol
