I love your artstyle! Super cute and cozy. As for the theory itself, its very, very interesting how different people look at the Eggs, as I've seen everything from them being literal eggs laid by and handed out by the Everyman (due to its birdlike nature and, well, being a mysterious man we've seen a LOT in Deltarune) to the eggs being fragments of Gaster that we are helping to put back together for some extra lore and/or bonus during the last few chapters. Personally, I think the Eggs will effect the lightworld positively, and the dark worlds negatively, but I'm not sure how. Chapters 3-5 can't release soon enough!

Y'know, I didn't think of this until watching, but Noelle's experience with the egg in Cat Petterz kinda brings to mind a metaphor for raising a child. Noelle initially wanted the egg to hatch into something cooler; and when that didn't happen, she tried to throw it away. When neither of those worked, though, she accepted it for what it was and started doing her best to take care of it, which resulted in it leaving home due to happiness. Similarly, a parent can't truly control what their kids are like or how they grow, and it's best to accept and love them no matter what rather than rejecting them for not fitting certain standards. In the end, though, no matter how much a parent and child love each other, the child will still have to leave home someday. Heck, that experience of having someone you've loved and cared for leave home is exactly what Toriel is currently going through with Asriel leaving for college. Does this metaphor hold up at all? I dunno! What does it mean for the lore of the eggs? No clue! Great video, though! I like that you talk about these topics that we currently know almost nothing about; you're free to just throw out ideas and see what sticks, and it really gets my creative juices flowing and think about all the endless possibilities!
To add onto this idea you can reject a child and try control them and manipulate them into how you want them to be which makes them leave due to sadness. Whats the only thing we can change the outcome of in the games? How happy or sad the people are in the game. We can either make every character happy or sad and it will always lead to the same outcome much like a child the only difference is what they think of us when they leave and why they left.

Relating to what you said about how the might game punish you akin to the no mercy route in undertale, perhaps both theories are true but the bad version might occur only on the snowgrave route, which is like deltarune’s version of no mercy. This way the game will still punish players who did the bad route in the end

Really like this theory. I've kinda fallen into the same trap of thinking the Man behind the tree is Gaster with the rest of the community. But even if I were to get my head out of that space, this is open to multiple interpretations of their identity anyway. Think it's Gaster? Think it isn't? It works either way. Personally, my running theory was that they were just supposed to be gifts, mainly to help their recipients with their lives. With most of what you do, they always end up at their destination, whether you throw them away or not. It works with Asgore, the guy's living off free pickles and keeps giving away flowers instead of selling them, so he isn't doing very well, but not so much with sans, unless it really does turn out that Gaster is the Man and is connected to the Skelebros. And it would have to turn out that sans isn't doing so well in some aspect. Maybe financially, or maybe this was to help with his brother. Really, though, like many things in Deltarune, we don't know the full picture yet, so any theories going to be coming up a little short.

I like two theories about the egg that 1: eggs help people somehow food, drawing, fall test, and so on if you read jojo part 7 or Homestuck (or any decent time travel story) little things make huge difference (butterfly effect) 2: Gaster gave us the eggs as a prank and run over the town soon to be the world
I have a wild idea to add to this theory! That being that I once made a speculation to my friends about chess theory, and how chapters 3 ,4, & 5 could have 2 secret bosses each to match chess boards since chess boards have 2 Rooks, Bishops, & Knights. But when we got to the Pawn (which would theoretically be chapter 6) and knowing there are 8 pawns in chess I came up with a theory saying that chapter 6 will have you hustle through 8 different miniature dark worlds across town. Maybe the eggs connect to that, and they are the gates to opening more Dark Worlds! But these egg dark worlds are meant to get all of the secret bosses out of the way. I feel if you didn't get all the eggs chapter 6 will have at least 3 mini dark worlds in the main story.
Eggs don't hatch if they haven't been fertilized. They will just rot. If you buy eggs from the grochery store, no matter how long you keep them, they will never hatch. Eggs are like a chicken's period. But nevertheless, interesting video! 👏💗 I love your OC! They're really cute!
Personally I think the eggs are a sort of collectible item, in the same way as the shadow crystals however with a much easier way of getting them, they’re important enough to have a counter for them, but not important enough to completely devolve the story, I think in future chapters there will be an egg for each dark world which once you collect one you place it in a certain spot, and once you collect them all the game rewards you with either an item or less likely a secret boss. Giving it a level of importance yet only to a degree of “hey that’s pretty cool maybe I’ll collect them for it” while not having any real meaning to it, but it’s a cool item (or boss fight) so it’s an “if you want” type deal
These theories sound completely plausible! And I totally forgot that egg in wingdings is literally how a knight is supposed to move during chess. So it makes a LOT of sense! I might even just map it out. Chess = first dark world > knight = related to the creation of the dark worlds > egg spelled in wingdings reveals the movements a knight makes in chess > eggs are related to a mysterious man character > wingdings are related to gaster = Gaster is the man behind the tree AND the knight confirmed. It’s unclear, tho that does seem to be what Ralsei’s tale implies - that darkness will cover the land, darkners turn to stone, and lightners are lost in the dark. Titans are also said to come from the dark fountains, and while it is implied that they are a threat, nothing in Ralsei’s tale seems to state explicitly *how* they are a threat
5:53 I would argue against this point, as players find the egg through ignoring story progression, and forcing the characters to do innocuous movements that don't make any sense within the game world itself. In addition to this, the no mercy route is taking the troupe of a completionist mindset against the player, and the eggs could easily be seen as at least related to that, as the only way players know that the eggs are there in the fist place is through looking it up online. I agree with you on a diagetic level, but on a meta level, I feel like there is plenty of interpretations that would support the first option of your theory
Third Theory... There is a world where Noel Holiday is being set up to be the big bad optional villain, the Sans of Deltarune if you will. The eggs are Noels memories, and allow us tometaphorically or literally crack Noel's egg. Get through to her, remind her who she is. Optionally we could find out she is trans and the eggs serve a punful meaning. I still think Noel in the knight!

It would be interesting if, like a true pacifist ending, you’re forced to dive back in after the ending to put a final piece together or get one more egg or something. I defo think there’s going to be 7 locations, and I’ve been trying to figure them out. Maybe your house, the hospital, the school, the knocking door apartment, the back alley, and ice’s or something? Hard to tell so far if a place with an egg can also be a place with a dark fountain.

Yes! I’d like to make a video about why you should play Undertale before deltarune, another short one like this about my sister’s Titan theory, and then I have a video that kinda about indie games in general but does talk about deltarune. And then probably more, when I think of the ideas lol. Always open for suggestions tho!
