I appreciate the effort you put into at least touching on nodes you don't typically use or fully understand the point of, and even going so far as to propose what you imagine to be possible use cases. For example when you introduced the sExpand node, you suggest the idea of animating he border without having to change the border parameter in the sShape node from some necessary value. Even if you're wrong, it still serves as a point of reference for my own exploration, and makes the whole prospect of figuring everything out for myself a lot less intimidating. Thank you 🙏
how would you track shapes My shapes are not sticking to their positions on the planar tracker transform Theyre rotating on the Z axis Where as it would track properly with a text node
Dude, this was so helpful. I've been making shapes with background nodes and masks.... this is way better lol. If you want to change the color of the shape, you just need to add a background node before it, right? Would love to see more videos about shapes and some ideas on how to use them, with text, titles, etc.
Glad it's helpful, more video on the topic will come! For changing the color you can change it directly on the shape node in the tab "Style" in your inspector
The best tutorial for Shapes in Fusion! Thanks!

Excellent. Yes, some tutorials on animating shapes would be very helpful.
I've just recorded a video on how to make an animated background using those nodes, and more videos about the topic will follow!
@@VideoEditorStudio That's great. I'll be waiting.
Thank you for this tutorial.
Is this tool(shape) included in the free version of Da Vinci Resolve 16 ?
I didn't found it.
I think this only appeared in Davinci Resolve 17 and yes it supposed to be in the free version
how can i add two same shapes in one screen?
Thank you so much, just what I needed as a beginner! Now I feel like I know my way around Fusion!
Glad it help you understand fusion!
Thank for this video, it was easy to understand. 🤟
You're welcome!
Animation tutorial would be great! Thank you 🙏
Is there any way to flip these shapes on x, y and z axis. I have tried few nodes but they are not compatible with each other.
There's no Shape Node that allow you to do that I think, but you can easily do it by using a DVE node after your Shape Render node
@@VideoEditorStudio It worked, thank you so much
Is there a way to draw shapes freehand or do they have paths that can be adjusted, it's important for stylized effects :c
If you are looking to create custom shapes yes, you can yous a paint node and trace a vector yourself
when I bring in a shape node into Fusion they won't show in either viewer
You need to use the Shape Render node and activate the viewer from this one otherwise it will not show up!
Hello, How can I add costum shapes to the list? For example a tree.
Well you only have the shape available in the list you can't "add more" for more complete shape I would recommend importing a SVG file

Nice! I will try that. Thanks for the reply.
