.85 cents is criminal. $ 1.40 is a joke. $ 2.00 is a more realistic number. People making this decision are not considering two major costs involved with this job. Fuel and Repairs.
Why is minimum pay in this conversation? Unless your driving a company car and they are paying all expenses. Minimum wage shouldnt be in the conversation. No one drives their car hoping for minimum wage.
every rideshare driver in that City should switch to a different app or completely stop driving so there will be open positions so the city officials or Uber can buy cars and they can do the rides for $5 an hour profit after expenses
Once again, I drive in the smaller market next to the Minneapolis/St Paul 5 county market and we get .79 per mile .11 per minute no upfront fares. It’s 81 miles to the MN/StP airport and we get $65 while the pax pays $150+ To make it even worse is that we are not allowed to operate there so we must deadhead that 81 miles back home. My point being is that we drivers are struggling as well. A driver in Minneapolis who’s take home was a bad day would be a great day for us. Even those days are few and too far between. Ever since this all began, both Uber and Lyft have made it even worse for both passengers and drivers in my market. Lyft is playing games with $1 to $3 surges constantly all day with grossly over priced fares yet lowering the fares so we get what we normally would get if we are lucky enough to get a decent ride. All offers are shit. I’ve probably declined over 200 rides since the stuff in Minneapolis started. Uber has absolutely no incentives or surges resulting in no drivers and pretty much every trip is a loss. Top it off with no destination in a market that covers many empty square miles with suburbs and apartment complexes scattered throughout. There is no voice for us in Minnesota nor in any other smaller markets where both corporations seem to get away more its collective bullshit.
@@bobbyphila623 yes but here there has been an obvious escalation. Lyft never has surges, and have them all day every day is not normal. Plus before if they did have a surge, it was added to the fare it wasn’t part of the fare like it is now.
Am I the only one in this country that sees that we should be asking for a restoration of the split between Rideshare/Drivers back to 75/25 or at least 70/30. ITS NOT A RAISE, It is about a PAYCUT. This is why they continue to lose. Language is everything, facts are everything
Too many riders are complaining they won't be able to go to work without Uber/Lyft but on the better news Uber is giving more surge rides and I have been making more during morning shifts.
Bottom line is this is a business. Drivers are in it to be profitable. Same as Uber and Lyft. If a customer cant afford to pay a sufficient rate where everyone is profitable. They need to find an alternative way to get around.

My 2017 Jeep is going to the junk yard in a few days after ubering for a year and a half , and no savings , greedy companies and corrupt politicians
Sick of the games these companies are playing.
I couldn't care less about the elderly, patients or people without cars having access to cheap rides.

Driver's in that state should stop driving. Then what?
You have to make this profitable for drivers. Not just for the apps and cheap for riders.
They have too many dumb drivers who do this shit for pennies
The 51 cents per minute is EVERY SECOND of the trip, from pickup to drop-off.
BS they just trying to buy some time !!!! These should have been done last year!!!
Drivers are really going get the short end of the stick in the end.
These prices is Minneapolis
Lyft .85 per mile and $.27 per minute , XL $1.90 per mile and $.42 per minute
$4.43 minimum
They are going to get rid of it they can least come with a dollar 10 a mile 89 centers a joke
every rideshare driver in that City should switch to a different app or completely stop driving so there will be open positions so the city officials or Uber can buy cars and they can do the rides for $5 an hour profit after expenses
Such bs
M7 taxi company here in Connecticut is $3.60 a mile
Almost the same thing on Uber, just a little bit more on the minimum around $8
Here in Connecticut i got a ride customer pays $27.50 for 8 minutes and i got paid only $10.05
are they gonna backpay all the days this is delayed?

Stop driving for the apps. Go private
@ .85 cents, I dont see any profitability in it. Barely see much at $ 1.40.
Vote them out
Who the hell is going to vote them out???? The riders want cheap rides 😂
What up, TIM!!!

People they butt out and just left alone, drivers the stop cherry picking
This apps are playing the long game

Ubers lyft % is too hi.
If I want to work for a minimum wage. I would go get a minimum wage job that doesnt involved using my vehicle.
Much better off working for $10 an without constantly burning gas and worrying about car repair
Uber Ain’t thuggin
