  • Make homemade soymilk, using soyflour. It is quick and easy!
    Ingredients used in this video:
    1 cup soyflour
    6 cups water
Bring water to a rolling boil. Turn down to simmer and sprinkle soyflour. Stir with spoon and/or whisk, until smooth.
Watching closely to avoid it from foaming over, simmer for 20 minutes.
Remove from heat and strain to remove any wayward lumps.
Cool enough to place in fridge to store.
Sweeten if desired, with a touch of vanilla and your favorite sweetener.

Thanks for sharing. I was just looking for soy flour recipes and came across this. I'll definitely make it because it will not have all the additives and preservatives that come in most cartons of soy milk. Wish you nice day Amy!

Genius! I’ve been making Almond milk by just blending 1/3 c almond flour with 4 cups of water…no boiling necessary. But I need soy milk to make my yogurt. I tried making it the same way BUT If you don’t boil soy it tastes very green .

Aw, now, three apologies? You're offering what I was looking for, a super money saver and an easier shortcut to the soymilk I happen to be out of this morning. No worries, momma, you did the best you could with what you had, and the good message made it through. For next time, you could rig up some way to tape your camera in place, maybe right over the pot? Or enlist an older kid or a girlfriend, if hub won't help.

To avoid a lot of foaming, spray on the warm mixture some oil spray or a drop or two oil.

Great job! How is the consistency after a few days? Is it the same consistency as a store bought soy milk? Thanks!

Ugh, I say foam way to often. Sorry folks! The information is still good. :-)

I have two alternatives from my supplier. One says 'full fat, heat treated' and the other is 'organic, toasted'. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Great video :) how did you decide how long to cook it for? If I cooked it for say 10 mins or even not at all and just blended it (hypothetically) would something be wrong with the milk? If it's heat treatment could you then use soya flour that has already been heat treated

@@annika9348 yeah I think if it's not cooked you're basically making raw soybean milk

Your flour may have been too old. Soybeans really don’t have much flavor.
