Dude, i hadnt seen that Dom and Liz site inforever, I found them soon after I started garage saleing weekly. I was super bummed when they quit posting. However those insane prices used to be pretty common in the pre 2010's. Several news sites ran a story on old videogames going for crazy prices in 2010 and suddenly everyone thought they had a goldmine in their attics so prices went up, and alot of resellers started hitting the market due to the news too.
I am glad to see you actually do see sales that people ask bad prices for games. I was beginning to think (after over a year of watching your videos) that you lived in an area where people just sell their stuff for nickels and dimes.
Thanks, it did end up being a great deal... I was able to get the systems working and I've already traded the ps1 games for some great games at a swap meet today. Check out that visual route planner, great for big cities.
Love the vids, man. I picked up a jungle green N64 with all the cords, the expansion pak, and two matching controllers for $30 from a pawn shop this weekend. Then I snagged Starfox 64, Bomberman Heroes, and Buck Bumble for $12. I've gotten some good deals at this pawn shop, but I'm thinking about hitting some garage sales up soon. Can't wait for part 2, buddy.
Yes I'm in Canada, I use spy glasses. My main competition consists of 2 other guys who are all aware of each other and about 10 other random collectors who are out once and a while.
I've started leaving stuff behind now, I used to buy everything but now I'm willing to just walk if they won't budge on price... If I really want something I can usually get it for the price I want.
Sounds like some nice scores... I've been considering getting a buffer too, I've been looking at the JFJ Easy Pro. I'd love to go through my collection to clean up some of the games. Let me know what you end up doing.
Yes those are the glasses I use. I have a huge head so yeah there pretty wide. If you search 720p sunglasses on ebay they're the ones with the fake oakley symbol in the middle, there very common. You should be able to find a pair for around $50...
Some very nice scores there man, even though the stuff at the first sale wasn't in the greatest shape there were some quality games, definitely a nice PS1 array. $1 a piece is awesome. And that Mario Kart GC is in gorgeous shape. Excited to be moving to a bigger city with more garage sale opportunities, hoping to get some nice pickups like these myself this summer!
I have a son and he is 6 man I go garage sailing with him. So many times have I got games or game systems for dirt cheap due to people thinking I was buing them for him. Use it to your advantage my technique was asking him in front of the sales person hay do you want these games. Works every time.
How do you film your ventures? Hidden camera in glasses? I can't believe how many games you find at one sale alone. That is amazing! Are you in Canada? Oh and lastly, when you see "your competition," do they know you as "their competition?" I ask because I used to know my competition way before they knew who I was. One huge buy out and 5 minutes too late, and that's when they figured who I was. Until this day, we see each other all of the time, and it's frustrating.
Thanks, good to see you... It's funny $45 was the exact amount I was looking for, you'll double that pretty easily. I heard there was some drama later in the day at the swap?
You made out like a bandit.. I should have made you a lower offer on those, eh?! HAH. Thanks for the games today man, hopefully I can put them in the hands of some local collectors here in the city. Amazing pick-up's as always.. really diggin' the new footage.
ya have been finding alot of the stuff ive been looking for constantly im thinking of spreading out a bit more and hitting more cities then i used to the places ive been going to has really run dry of stuff
I always still get a littler nervous going to sales like this. I'm a retailer, so when I go in, I have to get stuff CHEAP!! I'm still working on my nego skills, but I would have needed to leave with each one of those N64s for no more than 10 a piece. Actually, I would have just asked him to bundle all of them together for about 50
Love your channel and videos, exactly what I do in Brisbane Australia but no where near the magnitude. I can’t believe the quantity of garage sales and gaming you have to pick from. I might have invest in some spy video glasses too. I collect records and figurines too so I really can relate. Cheers mate. 🇦🇺🤘
good stuff. When you apologized for going into cambridge and checking out garage sales. I don't care. I usually work saturdays so it sucks I can't go out and looking lol. Keep up the great vids
Yeah, I'm pretty good about coming in with a fair quote most of the time, haha. And yeah, I should have no issues doubling that I imagine. Yeah, apparently the city showed up and talked to Hab about hosting it outside. They had previously said it was 'okay' but then went back on their word saying it was a business and as such they would need permits or something. Not sure what the outcome was of all that. Sucks to see the organizers taking flak for this all cause someone called the city, zz.
Wow! Nice pick ups! I like community sales. Very rare around my neck of the woods.
I love this series very telling. Its great to see how you make the deals and scope the sales. Keep these up!

I was really pumped about that one, they kept there stuff in fantastic shape.
Thanks, the first weekend in May is always crazy around here...
Thanks, it did end up being a great deal... I was able to get the systems working and I've already traded the ps1 games for some great games at a swap meet today.

Those are great deals from a pawn shop, the places around here use ebay to set prices.
Wheres a good place to find out about garage sales like this?
Yes I'm in Canada, I use spy glasses. My main competition consists of 2 other guys who are all aware of each other and about 10 other random collectors who are out once and a while.
Nice pickups! It's never too late to go to garage sales, I found a box of 40 NES games for $5 at 7pm.
I've started leaving stuff behind now, I used to buy everything but now I'm willing to just walk if they won't budge on price... If I really want something I can usually get it for the price I want.

Went to 7 garage sales today and not a single one had any video game! Is this typical?
Luckily I got a n64 for 8 bucks at goodwill!
Thanks, how'd you do this weekend?
Yes those are the glasses I use. I have a huge head so yeah there pretty wide. If you search 720p sunglasses on ebay they're the ones with the fake oakley symbol in the middle, there very common. You should be able to find a pair for around $50...
Awesome video man!! Unfortunately I was broke this weekend so I couldn't hit up the yard sales but I'm gonna hit em up next weekend!!
Did you grab it? I saw it for $60 the other day... I still haven't ever played it.
Some great scores man, we now finally know what you look like! :D An interesting perspective using the glasses.
I have a son and he is 6 man I go garage sailing with him. So many times have I got games or game systems for dirt cheap due to people thinking I was buing them for him. Use it to your advantage my technique was asking him in front of the sales person hay do you want these games. Works every time.
Going to grab a pair, been wanting to do flea market and garage sale footage, but feel weird carrying a camera around. :)
How do you film your ventures? Hidden camera in glasses?
I can't believe how many games you find at one sale alone.

Are the sunglasses you wear in the car your spy-glasses? I'm looking to pick up a pair, but have a wide head. Those actually look pretty wide.
I really do admire your buying skills though. Fun video and very educational.
You made out like a bandit.. I should have made you a lower offer on those, eh?! HAH.
Thanks for the games today man, hopefully I can put them in the hands of some local collectors here in the city. Amazing pick-up's as always.. really diggin' the new footage.
Another awesome video man! :D

im thinking of spreading out a bit more and hitting more cities then i used to
the places ive been going to has really run dry of stuff

I always still get a littler nervous going to sales like this. I'm a retailer, so when I go in, I have to get stuff CHEAP!!
