Dale Earnhardt was a driver that appealed to the guys who worked all their lives and never asked for anything, they EARNED it and Dale was a hero to them all. He was a hunter and fisherman, and ran his own farm and he drove fast cars for living. He was like those hard working men out in the field and in the factories, and those people loved him for that, he was one of the guys. Even though Dale has been gone for years, he still has a place in the mind of many NASCAR fans and if I ever was to have a race with my die-cast cars again, Dale would always would be in the race. He loved NASCAR, he was NASCAR and helped make it what it was.
Not only the Intimidator died that day, NASCAR died as well. The sport has never recovered from losing Dale and never will. The new generation of drivers can never live up to Dale, Rusty, the LaBontes, the Waltrips, etc.
I have never watched another NASCAR race since that horrible day. He was then and still now my favorite driver ever. I miss him to this day. Rest in peace Dale
NASCAR has never recovered after dales death, but in the end, dale saw his kid and dei for a 1st second place finish and blocked for them to win! Great father, great driver and never another Dale Sr
For the few people that blame Sterling, he didn’t do anything wrong. We all loved Dale and that’s why we’re all here. How can you blame Sterling Marlin?
I still to this day cannot watch old races with Dale Earnhardt in them without either crying or becoming super emotional, he reinforced my beliefs that with enough work, blood, sweat and tears you do everything and be anything. It resonated with me even more after finding out his farther never wanted him to race and he went and did anyway, he carved his own path and made a legacy out of nothing but a hope, a pray and a hail marry. He become the best because of the drive to prove everyone wrong but in actuality he already proved it to everyone. And everytime I see that jet black number 3 car flyin down the track it brings me back to those good ol days when all you needed was enough determination and yourself to become one of the greats.
I used to daydream about Dale and ol' DW sitting on the porch with the grandkids running around, talking about the old days - and me as a fly on the wall. Then came February 18, 2001 - the day NASCAR died. I miss him all the time. Nice tribute.
my parents were at the 1999 bristol race and watched earnhardt turn around labonte and win the race. this is the best dale earnhardt tribute i have seen
Beautiful Tribute to Dale. He’s a Legend. I don’t watch NASCAR much anymore. Kevin Harvick is on his last season. I just can’t connect with the drivers who have come into the sport over the past few years no matter how hard I try. The sport has become too governed with NASCAR creating new rules nearly every week. Most drivers these days lack a personality and NASCAR has turned them into puppets on a string. I miss the days when they actually just let them race and let them be theirselves during interviews without fear of being fined for something they said.
Or a Ronnie Van Zant!! Anyone who dnt kno Ronnie shud listen to his interviews and see how great a person he really was!!! 29 is way to young to leave this walk of life for damn sure!!!
I don't give a damn if you loved or hated that man that night Mike Helton made that announcement you shed a tear or a dozen .... Raise Hell and praise Dale
We Need Dale Earnhardt Senior back I really miss his passion for this sport he is a legend that will never be forgotten and I mean never if he's forgotten it's either a hater or someone that don't know shit about the sport R.I.P. Dale Earnhardt Senior you will never be forgotten my man 😖🤘✌️
If you were lucky enough to watch him at live Races then you would understand how good this man really was. His greatness was not something he raced for. He raced only to win and have fun doing it. He is now racing with God! The ultimate challenger. #RIPDale
In an interview,Earnhardt once said through the seventys he would play Skynyrd's "gimmie back my bullets " every morning to start his day, it motivated him, R.I.P intimidator you're sadly missed.
@@boduncan1044Why he wore an open faced helmet even when it was less popular, or one reason he did. He wanted to feel the change in air pressure directly on his face.
I Grew My Moustache Out In Rememberance Of Dale. I Still Get Emotional Because He Sacrificed His Life For The 2 Cars He Owned That Finished 1st & 2nd. Dale Knew Michael Was Gonna Win The 43rd Annual Daytona 500. Dale Was A Hero In Ways You Could Never Imagine. He Was The Hero That Sacrificed Himself For The 2 Cars He Owned.
He was one of the best there's been a lot of drivers in the history of NASCAR that we've lost in the last 30 40 years some really great drivers Dale Davey Allen we miss you too and the rest of you guys your NASCAR family misses you we remember you we love you rest in peace brothers
Been over 19 years and I just ain't got over losing dale and I dont know why. I didn't personally know him. I guess I just cant let my hero go or something, idk. To say I miss dale to this day is a understatement. Especially watching these whiny lil crybaby spoiled rotten brats of today
Tears are rolling out of my eyes We all miss him Dale Earnhardt Sr still in our hearts I still love Nascar racing He is a greatest legend ever been R.I.P. Dale and watch over his Grandson Jeffrey Earnhardt is gonna keep racing for him I am a forever fan of Earnhardt' family
Vikson Thank you so much for your very kind reply to my comment .. just Love RACING! Dale Earnhardt.. to me was just “The Best” .. God Love All Drivers ✨
I remember at a Darlington Race my sister & I didn't want to act like groupie followers so I asked my husband to please take our #3 caps & see if Dale would sign them. That race was in a series of non wins cause Dale had been hurt in a couple of bad wrecks. My husband caught him in the backseat of a car he motioned for him to take him the caps. He signed them we treasure these. Dale we miss you.
Every time he was in VICTORY LANE he would thank all the guys in the engine shop he'd say man that GM GOODWRENCH CHEVROLET was pulling today Spenny n Bo and all the guys in the engine shop built a good engine
If any of you all haven't notice what was very strange and skin crawling. Dale knew his time his chapter or his life was about to come to and end. Watch his last interview on Daytona the day he crashed and died. He said you might see something on fox you never see before......
Right!? Very strange also for him to hold everyone else off of Mikey and Dale Jr. Instead of trying to get around them himself.. He never "let" anyone win without a hell of a fight, not even his son.
Go watch the 2001 before race video with Terry, he and Earnhardt was driving the pace car the night before the race and Earnhardt joked on turn 3 and 4 about getting loose down on the apron and shooting back up into the wall.
Bottom line HE IS THE GOAT!!!! Don't need to say no more. I tear up every time too, it's hard not to. If you listen to that interview before the race, with SR. He knew this was it,he said we would see something you ain't never seen on FOX before. R.I.P SR.
The evening he past away , nascar was Dead! Well it was hard to Allen & Davey too, don't get me wrong, I lived at MIS an talladega, an Daytona, only back twice since
Sterling didn’t do anything and I’m sure he feels guilty. It’s just one of those racing things. Dale got aero loose and got into the car inside. Dale corrected and ended up shooting up the track and into Sterling. Sterling was just racing the man, using a bit of side draft to stay with him. It’s the last lap of the Daytona 500. So you really expect the man to just give up on the race?

76 years old and I still cry every time!!
Not only the Intimidator died that day, NASCAR died as well. The sport has never recovered from losing Dale and never will. The new generation of drivers can never live up to Dale, Rusty, the LaBontes, the Waltrips, etc.
Especially now, way too many WOKE drivers and nascar officials.
And still haven't recovered Dale Earnhardt Sr was the Best Driver Ever In The History Of NASCAR Racing.
I agree with you 💯💯 percent.
We all miss you Mr Chevrolet you are my hero Dale

Earnhardt is my favorite inspiration for racing, came from nothing. But faught for the hard working family
This shit made me cry. A grown ass man. I wish Dale was still around
Happy Birthday Dale! You meant so much to a little girl raised in NC who grew up watching you everytime I could!

I wish I had gone and seen him when he was racing.

This great man lost his life on the day I celebrated my 19th birthday and I still get goose bumps when I see the video
i'm not crying... just miss this man
NASCAR, as I knew it, died with Dale. It became more about the money and fame, and less about racing and drivers handling themselves like real men.
Yeah, I agree.. I once loved it and never missed a race.. But after he died, so did my love for the races.
