Chai are the most exciting band I've discovered in decades. I saw them supporting Superorganism in Glasgow last year and I was astonished at their energy, attitude and the grooves these ladies can come up with. I've since seen them headlining their own show in Manchester and got to meet the band afterwards... I felt slightly odd, being old enough to be their father, but they're so talented that I had to thank them personally! I will be travelling the country, or throughout Europe, to see them again! If anyone is reading this and can get tickets to a chai concert, it's worth it. They're one of the best live bands out there

I'm new to the Chai pot and I'm loving it. These wonderful Japanese female bands are killing it. They are being discovered by foreigners at the perfect time. Most of the world is emerging from a lonely depressing couple of years and the energetic flow of joy, love and friendship from all these young ladies is a refreshing blessing to us all. Its a blueprint to how we should all connect in this new world order. Its so easy too. All you have to do is love. Happy New Year Everybody!
First time I heard this band was at Tower Records Shibuya and their EP floored me. Have been lucky enough to have seen them twice - incredible band with parless message and energy. I am so happy that the world is starting to key into the greatness of Chai. Even more happy that teenage girls get to see this kind of band in their transom. Neo-kawaii is the way of the future.
I was there at the Brooklyn show that they showed in the beginning of the video. I love how much positivity Chai radiates through their music. It's really nice to see Chai share their passions in a way that brings happiness to people. Neo-kawaii is the best kind of kawaii, because it's all about being yourself! 💕

They remind of Bikini Kill, though this isnt stereotypically punk I think they share similar ideals like going against the female image with a touch of irony and mockery and I think that is what makes punk punk in a way...
