ToyShiz, definitely more attention to detail, accessories, and the freedom to interpret the figures into plastic. I was surprised how well soul crusher was done. Maybe a sleeper. Much better then expected. She spawn is the main draw, as I like her in Scorched and how she is portrayed in Todd's Spawn books. Both hopefully make the cut on processing and shipping. 👍 Very nice.
The Soul Crusher figure is amazing. I have an early in hand one I was sent for some promo shots and the ball joint on the boots are sculpted to hide the boot laces. Ankles have great swivel and tilt. The hood moves very organically with the head swivel. A perfect figure and exactly what I wanted from the McFarlane Toys team.
Yeah those figures are a must for own for spawn fans.... I still have lots of those older 1990's spawn figures that you showed. Very cool to see the evolution of Jessica Priest and those old She-Spawn. Great review as always 👍
Both these figures are bad-ass! I also love how Todd is paying close attention to more paint detail. I thought wave one was lacking in paint detail, but he's definitely listening to collectors and obviously rectified that issue! I can't wait to get these figures in hand.
these figures look great. love that they actually did good paint work on these. can't wait to get the she-spawn and after seeing this review I may get soul crusher if I can find him. and YAY, GUNS!
McFarlane Toys puts more love and care into these figures than he does the DC Multiverse line. (no side eyes, no finger guns and better paint application)
He can’t put as much attention and love into DC Multiverse. He has to pay lisencing fees with DCM, so there’s not as much money leftover for detailing and accessories. And Warner Media dictates that there be no guns. It’s a miracle we’re getting what we’re getting. He owns spawn, so he doesn’t have to pay anyone; he also has no constraints with regard to pricing either, so notice that a few of the spawn’s universe figures are all priced around NECA price. Spawn’s also a fully adult audience, and there’s no outside pressure to meet a quota; he can do what he wants. Now compare this to GI Joes, which Hasbro owns. Even the figures which are priced similarly are far inferior to what mcfarlane is doing. Give dude credit bro
Makes perfect sense to me that the Spawn figures get better paint and detail, Todd doesn't have to pay the license fee for his own Universe. That She Spawn looks to be a new female body from here. The torso looks longer and more feminine at the hips. I dig it. I'll be comparing directly to both Batgirls for leg length, at least.
Exactly. Everyone comparing these to DCM forget this fact. Even the complaints about guns, DCM controls that. Additionally, I have come also to feel they have put restrictions on him with regard to having swappable fist-hands as well. Remember, those whackos’ official motto is ‘comics that are good for you’.
@@elmatasesues3630 I can live without the guns. There are options out there that are often upgrades over what would have been provided. The side eye bothers me more than the missing fist hands, but the biggest transgression for me are the "pew-pew" hands.
@@Lance_Manyn what bothers me is non-universal peg sizes. You know how many times I’m hoping to swap out fists I already have only to find the pegs aren’t the sane size
I can really appreciate the paint deco on this Spawn line (vs DC Multiverse). Not sure She Spawn needed to be Deluxe. Looks kinda silly in that huge box. I’d be fine without so many guns.
I started collecting spawn figures as a means to branch out of hasbro stuff mainly red/black spawns but soul crusher looks sick I might have to pick up both of these
Loving the Soul Crusher, but I truly miss the old She-Spawn design. I totally get why she changed....still miss it, none the less! I'll be picking up Soul Crusher.
Glad she doesn't come with an elephant foot. And for that I'm very likely going to get her for sure. Am not a fan of the elephant foot, and currently owns only 1 modern Spawn figure with that kind of foot. That's one area of the Spawn design they should update. Besides, Spawn originally didn't have an elephant foot anyway.
I just found she-spawn at target and she is a great figure though she doesn't have the normal wrist joints but instead has those ugly "broken wrist" wrist joints that most of the much larger figures have. and I spent like 10 min. looking at her giant amalgamation rifle and yeah, not a single bit of it makes any sense in terms of functionality.
I've seen a couple of pictures from other guys of that she spawn and I can notice that unfortunately most of them will have crooked eyes, just like yours.
Soul crusher is my kind of action figure dolly. Angela she-spawn is hysterical because of the mcfartlane hair. Didn't that dude invent the ridiculous over the top half copied by everyone into manga and anime ✌️👍😝
I like the outfit, but the diaper crotch piece kills the She Spawn figure for me. When it comes to articulation, sometimes less is more. If the tummy and crotch were 1 piece of solid plastic (not bendable) than it would be a must. The females need to be sexy, so that means less articulation than the guys. I hope they redo her without that waist articulation part in the future.
That She-Spawn is simply awesome. Soul Chrusher is great. I'm not sure how much longer will I resist Spawn and Mortal Kombat lines.
Love the design of the new Soul Crusher character. He makes a good looking action figure. Looking forward to him shipping soon.

I wish he would update gunslinger to add more paint, particularly the buckles.
Interesting changes to articulation. Happy to see more paint.
This Soul Crusher looks like a Stalker from Shadow of the Chernobyl game. Love it!
YES! I was going nuts trying to pin point what this figure reminded me of. Shadow of Chernobyl! Thank you hahaha.
Hehehe Soulcrusher will be perfect for my veteran NCR ranger custom
I just got gun slinger spawn and ordered she spawn from Amazon
Wow Both those figures are amazing I wonder how much she spawn can be aquired for now Awesome review 👍🤘
The actress who played Priest in the old Spawn movie was just on fire 🔥 phew… it’s too bad.
these figures look great. love that they actually did good paint work on these. can't wait to get the she-spawn and after seeing this review I may get soul crusher if I can find him. and YAY, GUNS!
Absolutely must buy She Spawn and Soul Crusher all the wave except the redeemer repaint

Nothing wrong with that. Spawn is his baby.
@@elmatasesues3630 perfectly said lol
Melinda Clarke damn what a hottie!! I remember from return of the living dead 3!! Can't wait to get these soon!! Thanks shiz and great review!!

Seeing Soulcrusher's picture is what got me intrested into modern Spawn figures. Got about 5 now, not counting the MK ones.

I'm planning on getting the She - Spawn mainly for that sick ass sword, gonna give it to my Malefik Spawn
I started collecting spawn figures as a means to branch out of hasbro stuff mainly red/black spawns but soul crusher looks sick I might have to pick up both of these
Bought Soul Crusher for a DC Comics Sandman (40’s).
I pre-ordered 4 of the figures from this wave on Amazon and 3 got cancelled the day they were supposed to arrive.
👻McFarlane Toys should do a weapons pack. 👀👀 I think that would be pretty cool. 👀👍🏻
I was worried these Spawn figures seemed to be peg warming initially but much of it sold through over the holidays. Bring on wave 2
Finally! A proper figure!
Enjoyed this ToyShiz!
Awesome figure! Is the cape removeable? I'm planning to change mine with a custom wired cape or something.
Loving the Soul Crusher, but I truly miss the old She-Spawn design. I totally get why she changed....still miss it, none the less! I'll be picking up Soul Crusher.
The guns are what the figures pop out more
awesome figures!
Let’s Go !!!!
Best part are the new peg joints
Cant wait for my she spawn to arrive i cant even remember when they ship out
Any idea if these weapons fit the dc multiverse figs ?
Will depend on the figure, but they should fit most.
@@ToyShiz sweet ! Thanks
If I would have one wish for this line it would be more demons. Maybe violators brothers, or hell maybe redo some of the toy-line demons.
Do she spawn guns fit 6 inch figures too? 😭
Soul crushers design looks just like the masterverse girl, Teelas side kick. Lol.
I’d say more doctor doom or Ratcatcher 1
It made me think of The professor action figure from House of a 1000 corpses.
Getting them all
The spawn figures are definitely getting more attention to paint and details when compared to the DC figures.
Hopefully wave 3 isn’t coming til summer I gotta catch up
Soul Crusher straight out of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Amazon canceled all my pre orders the day they would have shipped. So frustrating…
Awesome
🔥🔥🔥
They have not made an original spawn in wave 1 right ?
I've seen a couple of pictures from other guys of that she spawn and I can notice that unfortunately most of them will have crooked eyes, just like yours.
She doesn’t have eyes
Soul crusher is my kind of action figure dolly. Angela she-spawn is hysterical because of the mcfartlane hair. Didn't that dude invent the ridiculous over the top half copied by everyone into manga and anime ✌️👍😝
i dont know these characters they just look cool
Soul crusher looks cool
Accessories for she-spawn is awful, because they are soft
