Absolutely perfect wheels (please never go black), only way they could look better was is they were central lock. I would be perfectly happy with those AP, wouldnt swap for the ccb. have a nice week Tommy
Just about to recieve my brushed clear apex vs5rs in 18x8.5 for my civic fl5. Haven't decided if they'll replace the winter sets or if they'll be my summer setup, I really like the black oem wheels. Decisions decisions 😊. The 911 looks great!!
Tommy you may remember or not but I asked about the Apex wheels on your channel before. I think they look incredible. My first choice for finish is the brushed clear followed by gloss black. Last time I checked Apex only offered satin black so gloss black would make a nice change from the norm. If you are fiddling with your Apex wheels again please try and post them with the black Apex centre caps. I know it is a small detail but it would be interesting to see the difference I think. As for PCCBs if they fell into your lap on a straight swap I think you could consider yourself very lucky. Just for your information the PCCBs have a different brake booster. Same say swap the booster as well and some say don’t. I think the PCCBs would be so beautifully framed behind the Apex wheels it will be difficult to stop looking and start driving lol. If you did the change would you keep oem Speed Yellow calipers with black script? Another option would be gloss black calipers with Racing Yellow script which would tie in nicely with whole look imo. Enough rambling - looking forward to more Carrera T content over your summer.
The Forged Wheels in silver look so much better then the OEM ones. Please dont paint them black, silver Wheels look so much better and bigger in my Opinion. Greetings from Germany :)
We've had 2-3 days of significant snow in New England this winter. I thought about switching out my winter wheels/tires this weekend but know that the minute I do, we will get a foot of snow. I'll give it a couple more weeks.
Delighted to know your mud flaps are on kies! Unrelated question to your video, which one should I get if I drive an F32? I only see options for F30 or the M3/M4 Thanks !
You mentioned sway bars and needing the car to be a bit more planted, just curious what you meant and if you have thought about a DSC controller? I'm thinking about getting one for mine, I would like the car to stiffen up a little more quickly on tighter canyons. To me it seems to actually have more body control at higher speeds like on track, but less so at autocross speeds. I'm not sure if that's just the way they programmed the dampers, maybe in order to give more grip for tight stuff and make it as compliant as possible for street, but I'm curious about the DSC controller. One other thought, PS4S are a little soft as well, so if you drove a GT3 with Cup 2s or another performance tire with a stiffer sidewall, that could make a difference.
So I don’t want to mess with the controller. I just want to eliminate a bit of lean. Sways will help. Good call on the tires too. Actually my all seasons are super soft too - part of the complaint. With the ps4s it’s back to better road feel
From the video, it looks like you swapped springs out to an Eibach setup? I watched your other video where you linked to the H&R springs. Curious about the reason and how they compare.
Why torque them down when the tires are fully supporting the car already? Isn't it better to tq them down when the tires are barely touching the ground (just to prevent them from spinning)?
It's called a step lip. Aluminum oxidizes and corrodes when exposed to salt. Agreed, don't save it for the next guy but salt and brine are terrible for all components. Black wheels are terrible. Stick w silver.

So I hate brake dust. Would prefer ccb
The forged wheels look way nicer and aggressive even though they are very similar to the OEMs.👍
I agree. Thanks!
The VS5RS always a good choice. The space between the spokes make it look more aggressive and modern vs the stocks.
I think that’s what it is then. I agree

You’re making me think for sure! I think yellow calipers would work well too. Now i need to find someone who’s willing to do it :)
Pro-Tip: The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires have markings for inner and outer. Some discount tire shops mount them backwards.
Thanks for the info!
Those Apex rims are legit. I personally think they would look amazing in black!
Thanks. I’m tempted to go gloss black.
looks great Tommy! Are these similar to what you had on your F80 at one point?
Yes, very similar. Almost too similar ha ha
Looks great TLG 🔥
Thanks champ !!!
nice @@TommyLGarage
sad that you won't track this again!! I can't wait to take my 992T to track month after I get it
Love the VS5RS! I have a set for my Bimmer. Paired with the TLG mud flaps of course!
Good choice! Thanks for supporting my venture !
Wyglądają super, idealnie dobrane nie trzeba spacer-ów. Osobiście bym nie malował bo podoba mi się ich wykończenie.
Chyba tak zostawię. Dzięki!

Thanks for visiting. How about gray ???
@@TommyLGarageThe carrera t grey wheels color (Titanium Metallic) would look 🔥 on these rims
Ceramic Coating the APEX Wheels might make them easier to clean. Try Gunmetal instead of Black Gloss Apex Wheels.
They are indeed ceramic coated. Might need ceramic brakes hehe
Fajny garaz Panie Tommy:)
A no dziękuję !

I simply could not wait ha ha
@@TommyLGarage I took my snows off the S4 last Wednesday and we got snow on Saturday! Never fails.

Hey!! F32 will be available in a week. Stay tuuuuuuned!!
Nice wheels. Still winter in Helsinki
I need to visit helisinki!!!
I like the Apex wheels I say jus get them powder coated black or a dark gun metal.
I might keep them silver

I’m still on Eibach. The link included h&r since they’re a very similar drop and I could not find a link for Eibach
Would a light coat of Rust
check or something similar before the winter help. Up here in Canada we use Krown rust proofing create contact bro 👍👍
Ahh good idea !
the winters on my F80 are from 2016, I should really get rid of them :D
Time for a change! :(
Why torque them down when the tires are fully supporting the car already? Isn't it better to tq them down when the tires are barely touching the ground (just to prevent them from spinning)?
That’s why I repeat the torque. You also can’t torque them when the wheels are up. Wheels will keep spinning
Do you have a set of tpms sensors for each set of wheels?
I sure do
The aftermarket wheels pop. Small changes big impact
Agreed. Now do I keep them silver or go black?!
Just buy 4 new OEM bolts and toss the security lugs. That's the 1st thing I did.
Ordering it now. Thanks
Thanks!
Thanks for visiting !
WHERE I CAN GET THE ROOUND PIECE OR PUCK THAT YOU PUT BEFORE LIFTING THE CAR?
I linked it in the video description for you
Black wheels look like hubcaps except in perfect lighting. Hides all the details so makes me think someone doesn't like their own wheels.
You’re right
Apex 💯
Agreed
it's look nice
Thanks!

Learned something new today thanks!
Stay silver 😊
Done!
Noooo not in black!!! 😰
Decided to keep silver
Prefer OEM tbh
Color or shape ?
