Cargo Camper - Vinyl Wall Covering

- In this video, after a long break, I continue my cargo trailer to camper conversion with some wall coverings. I'm gluing on vinyl flooring to give it a faux wood look.
I'm no professional so any input or feedback would be great. Hope you enjoy watching my build!
I used your idea in my trailer! Looks awsome but what a pain in the butt with the glue lol I instaled the window after, the inside ring fit perfectly! Thanks for your idea! Good job.
For the water heater, maybe a removable wood cover (or frame with door) that has some upper cabinets (top 1/3 or 1/4) continuing across the front to the far wall by the door, all stained that lovely color to match your table top.
I like the look! Certainly easier than staining or painting. I'll probably remove the interior window trim prior to hanging to ease the installation around the windows. Great job and looking forward to the next installment!
I wish I could remove the window trim, but it's what's holding the window in :/
Thank you for your easy build videos. I'm SO nervous to do this. I have a trailer same size for temporary storage. Now going to empty it out and start to convert.
Smart of you to use linoleum on the walls!
looks good, easy to clean, hardly any kind
of maintenance and it'll last for almost ever!
Not to mention that it's also light weight and inexpensive.
Very nice! In my 7 x 14 - we went with self-stick wall paper BUT... it didn't stick very well and had to use 'glue' as well :)
Looks good. Glad to see your back. Can’t wait for more videos
Looks great.I’m looking to do a 6x10 and so many great videos that are making me want to get into it sooner.
Great ideas
I have used the flooring idea on walls in 2 different showers.
Good work!
Just watching this video reaffirms why i will paint the walls when i build mine.
Great Job!
Can you show how you build your water system?
Solar set up and propane heater. ?
Looks great 👍
Well done. I am new in this way
Consider this idea stolen... Looks really nice. Just curious about going vertical with the pattern? Personal preference only, I think that would look cool horizontally too. Great build! I'm in the process of "updating" my trailer and don't like the idea of pain or stain in an enclosed space.
Thanks! I think this turned out surprisingly better than I would have guessed. Glad to share it!
The orientation was mostly chosen because it was easier to roll out this way. I'm sure it'd look great horizontally too.
I really like the idea of finishing the wall w
ith vinyl flooring! Btw, where did you get your Windows and much? Thank you.
How long do you wait for it to dry before applying the vinyl on the wall
I would have removed the inner window frames. Makes a lot nicer edges and ease of install
i did this in my shower wall
How is the wall covering holding up with temperature changes? Does it bubble or peel?
I havent seen any issues. So far so good
I noticed you cut the supports behind new window did you weld in supports around the edges or are you using the plywood to keep the support somehow? Also why not vinyl then cut out window?
Yeah in hindsight putting the window in after would have been a better plan
So it's been at least a year now, how is it holding up? Has any of it come lose?
What glue did you use and has it held up???
Where did you get wall panel and do know what it’s called
Floor on walls? Why did not you use wallpaper? My RV has wallpaper.
I hope this isn't a silly question but why did you have to drill holes in the window frame before installing each screw? Are you drilling through the wood around the window so the screw goes into the window frame?
I think these screws were meant to go into pre-drilled holes. They had a lot of trouble getting into the wood without em.
Late to this party. Did you insulate?
Nice job! What were the materials you used for this, especially the glue? Definitely thinking of using your idea on our 7 x 14 cargo trailer conversion we're busy with.
This is the glue I used: www.lowes.com/pd/TEC-Stick-N-Stay-Pack-Sheet-Vinyl-and-Carpet-Tile-Flooring-Adhesive-1-Quart/50064107
The material was just rolled vinyl flooring
Why wouldn't you have installed the vinyl after the cut but before you installed the window?
Poor planning. I didn't know what I was going to do with the walls when I cut the windows. Shoulda, woulda, coulda
That really does look great, and it look easier than the big paint job i was planning (I don't like paint). Stealing your idea.
What glue did you use ?
Where did you buy the flooring roll
I think I got it from Home Depot online
Put the wallpaper up first then install the window
Obviously your skill level is well above 99% of the people that watch your videos. Perhaps in the future you can mention what material you're using or other professional. Advice while you do your builds.
Sorry , My wife said no to the walls🤣
