When Maria was back in college in Cebu she was always part of a debate team. I remember back in 2015 there were videos on UA-cam of Maria making mincemeat of her opponents from other universities when it came to political issues. So I wasn’t at all surprised when she moved into pageants. I think her ambition if I remember from those debates that she wants to someday become President. She just might.
Did you notice that if the last two standing are Venezuela and Philippines or whenever Venezuela wins or Philippines wins, the pageant fans from these countries are content and happy?
Many are saying the best friends in beauty pageants are Philippines and Venezuela because they support each other. Two big powerhouses in beauty pageants flock and stay together.
Many are noticing this everytime either Venezuela or Philippines wins the crown.

Very proud of our girls from DR, 🇩🇴❤️ we started 2024 strong with high placements in Miss World and now Universal Woman. For me our contestants are beautiful and talented maybe with more preparation and sponsorship we would be a pageant powerhouse.

Hello Dani, I am the admin of Miss.Lebanon.Pageants I watched it live in Cambodia. For the Social Project award every contestant required to have Project done to present to the judges behind the scenes. Yes the competition was little over 3 hours as it was aired live. Overall for a 2nd edition Universal Woman done a fantastic job and this pageant will soon be on top with the major pageants in likes of Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss International. Once again congratulations to the Philippines 🇵🇭 P.S. Philippines is a host in multiple pageants and productions. Her answer gave me goosebumps. Also she is a former Binibining Pilipinas contestant and Miss World Philippines contestant
Dani already earned her right to be in a panel judge; however, I do hope the candidate will give her hard time to choose, bec Dani knows the in and outs of the pageantry world including Q and A. Good job, Dani! 👏🏻

there are a lot of pageant enthusiasts out there who could do a great job on the judging panel. I think the last deciding factor for one to be on the panel boils down to the talent fee. Dani MIGHT be a little more expensive than Luis😊

OMG ! I'm so happy as a Filipino for Maria, especially considering she's tried so many times to qualify for an international pageant (Side note: I wanted her to win Miss World Philippines 2022. Gwen did great, though.). One of the most well-spoken candidates we've ever sent to a pageant.

They should have PH do a voice over at the start of the competition, "Welcome to the new era of beauty, Universal Woman 2025." They can have PH host in the years to come ala Megan Young.

Philippines stood out so much that she is beaming "winner". she is a miss universe material i must say.
Something that stood out to me was during France onstage question was that she started out by saying “I don’t want to be Universal Woman to…..”
I personally wouldn’t start my answer with I don’t want to be *insert title here* as I totally understand where she was going with her answer but I think sentence structure and intention matters and I would recommend saying “I WANT to be Universal woman to”

If you are a newly founded pageant, it's really strategic to crown a Filipina (or even place them higher like runners up) for you to have a share of the Filipino pageant fans which are very pageant savy.

The situation with Miss Venezuela is very frustrating, she literally was the clear winner until her Achilles heel happened with not being able to communicate in English.
Even in 2020 everyone said one the only things she lacked was English, and she never worked on it. It’s a shame, but Philippines was absolutely the deserving winner.
She really did dominate the entire competition. What a standout competitor. I world live to see her on a bigger international stage.

There is an inordinate amount of critique on the Pasarelas. At this international level, you'd hope these candidates would be more polished. Little wonder Philippines and Venezuela came off on top.

France had my favorite gown.
Zimbabwe’s gown I think the problem is not about the length but the cut. The color is beautiful, the length is ok because it has a train but the bodice is very ill-fitting. Cuba’s gown is beautiful if they have removed off shoulder straps, there were cut outs in the dress and the dangling straps made it look less expensive (my 2 cents). Im confused with Miss Argentina’s gown because of the decor on the bodice, I think it was added as an after-thought and it didn’t work, sometimes less is more (I can still remember Miss Universe Russia wearing a very simple strapless white gown, memorable). Miss France gown is what we call pang Reina Elena in the Philippines it looks well fitting but it looks stiff (the material used doesn’t allow much movement and play on stage). Miss Venezuela’s gown I really love. It enhances her body and the color really popped out. Remember yellow means royalty in this part of the world. the cut and the fit are impeccable. There are cut outs in the bodice but they are covered with a semi transparent fabric which made this gown more appropriate for Asian taste (not trashy if you know what I mean), the cape flowed heavenly as it is made of very light material but has a velvety sheen (expensive looking) and flowed at the right height because of the slit (careful engineering indeed!) The bodice has embellishments that outline the cut outs and outline her curves! Miss Cambodia’s gown I also love but I think the tassles on her sleeves made it very awkward for movement and it was painful to watch but the gown itself in blush pink is very elegant and well fitting (again less could have been more), Miss Brazil’s gown in fuchsia is also very beautiful! The asymmetrical beading. Great Britain’s gown is ok but a little boring. The removable cape with puffy floral sleeves swallowed her (I think beaded small ribbons could have been better). Miss Dominican Republic’s gown shouts belly-dancing to me but I love the shimmery cape (like you she has over-done the butterfly arm movement, took away some elegance). Puerto Rico’s over size sleeves for me is passe and she looked overdressed. If the sleeves and bodice are so covered like that, the back should have shown more, low back covered with semi-transparent material. Miss Philippines gown has a very dreary color (this is why gowns should be pictured of videoed under different lights before final decision). It is simple but still elegant and very well fitting. Side by side, she was overshadowed by the contestants beside her. Her experience and confidence saved her. for the final Q&A, Philippines mesmerizing voice, carefully chosen words, well constructed sentences, delivered in a confident and world accepted intelligible English proved that she’s the most intelligent and ready beautiful candidate to take on the job. And the organizers knew it and gave her the crown. This is a good new pageant with a true purpose and integrity.

The United States leads the list of male and female beauty pageant winners by a wide margin with a total of 61 victories.Of course Venezuela is at the top of list of the big 4 Miss Pageants with 24.

We want to see more focus on the top candidates.

Also I noticed, only a token African, I long for the day when say 8 or 9 of a top 12, or 15 were African or black Caribbean, so of the Caribbean countries that don't usually make the cut. Again far to many Latin's in the mix, too many asians as well, things need to be shaken up.
