- We had the opportunity to order in for a customer the Transition Sentinel Carbon GX build. He was looking for a bigger travel bike to go with his more aggressive riding style. The Sentinel is in the middle of Transitions bike lineup with 160mm of travel up front and 150mm in the back. If you want more travel, go for the Spire or bike park bike the TR11. If you want less, consider the Smuggler or the Spur. Transitions are developed and tested in the gnarly Bellingham Washington area where they have some pretty crazy trails where world class athletes train year round. #bikingroots, #transitionbikes, #transitionsentinel
The Transition Sentinel V2 (released in 2020) comes in alloy builds for $3700 and goes up to $6400 for top of line AXS Carbon wireless build. These days, even with higher end carbon fiber and nicer components, it can get difficult to get an enduro bike near the 30lb mark, but somehow Transition is at 31.7 on this build (small frame, no pedals, tubeless setup).

Who owns or has owned a Transition Sentinel? How did you like it?
I just received my yesterday. Looks amazing. Trying to get everything ready to get it out on the trail by this weekend.

@@BikingRoots I have about 15 miles on it now on Green - Black Diamond trails. Not many Double Blacks in Florida. Very happy with my purchase.
Awesome bike , own one for 2 years great ALL mountain bike , can do trail rides with gentle XC focus and take on the bigger stuff too

Ha, I don’t know moto bikes but those are still like $10k right?! I know, I hear that argument a lot. I could just buy a motorcycle. From what I’ve read and heard, motos are manufactured in much larger quantities, one size, do not have to be weight conscious, etc.

Yeah, it's not inexpensive but competitive with other high end carbon bikes with these specs. Just depends on what you want/can afford.
