Sir I’m at MIT doing a mock up circuit to nz standards and your videos have help me out immensely👍🏽. Was going to share it with my class but I’ll wait until later
Great video, but the continuity between neutral and earth will only work if you don’t have a dedicated earth bar and/or an MEN link. However it’d be safe to assume that if an MEN link existed, then you’d have an RCD protected circuit anyways.
Hi Dave . Is there a more slim model (back end ) to fit into back of kitchen island. Drawers ..so not much room on sides of island. Also do all rcd sockets have downstream protection? Cheers.
Are these required by code in bathrooms yet? I'm still in shock even after several years now in Australia to see how many bathrooms have entirely unprotected sockets in them!
Love these videos Dave, you are a champion. Such a fantastic free resource ! Keep up the good work mate. Cheers Andy

How many sockets can be protected on the load side of an RCD?
So is the whole circuit now protected or just that socket?
