Our high school here had a $10k debt of unpaid student lunches, so they decided to just pay it off. Soon, it was almost as much again. The Principal asked, "How could that be?!" The front desk ladies said "Because the students are still eating."

Agriculture in Pennsylvania is going to feel the impact from the bridge collapse really bad, a huge amount of farming supplies come into that port and goes to Pennsylvania, they are already talking about it on the local news. Companies are saying they will have to go to different ports which are way out the way which means higher prices and farmers won't be happy.
it will increase the detour by 40 min because that bridge is the only way unless you go around the beltway 695. that boat is stuck and until it's clear no one is coming in or out for now in this river.

There's audio of the police speaking to each other. They were about to warn the workers after they closed traffic on both ends. The bridge collapsed before they could warn them.

Bankman-Fried better not get his sentence reduced, getting out early. He likely wouldn't last long with people he's wronged likely out to end his life. He'll probably be safer in prison, but there are no guarantees. He might just 'off' himself.

I liked the Prosecution's point about RICO cases being about "the bigger picture" being that each piece of the puzzle contributed to the furtherance of a crime when viewed in the context of the evidence, even if (IF) any individual pieces seem inocuous when taken out of context.

I'm from Baltimore and most dont realise the tremendous amount of large storage tanks for petroleum and chemicals that will be depleated and unable to be refilled. Barges and ships had to go under the bridge to fill them. They are behind the bridge and cargo ship closer to the harbour. Yes we will feel the national economic impact behind this. Perhaps before they rebuild it higher, stronger and better and deepen the channel they will invest in the larger cranes needed at the port for the future. Baltimore has the opportunity to be the best port in the world if the politicians can think past a free ride for political buddies on a jet. Why weren't they at the wreckage site? I don't get it.
Most of that is for the gas pipelines that reach all the way to Texas.
Like Al Gore that was an inconvenient accident .
