You didn't mention that the Haier is up to 6dB quieter than all the rest. Talked about some things like basically having a thermostat as if it were some new technology, and didn't really cover any fine points of the units. I wanted to like this, but the fact that you never actually tried any of these units leaves you with little more than claimed numbers and fluff. I was really hoping for more.

what is the best way to setup a dual hose portable ac with left to right sliding windows that are almost 4 feet up, so my windows don't begin until around 4 feet up so the ac would have to be higher up off the ground to reach plus the dual hoses need to reach the window. How would i do this?

Anyone have experience whynter Arc 14s vs Arc 143mx. I asked on Amazon and was told by whynter the the Arc 143mx is more powerful and more efficient and has better components designed for commercial use. But specs look the same, I purchased the Arc 143mx should be here next week.

@@soulreaperx7x great cool my little 600 square foot studio no problem, it's not loud either. Happy with it, I went through 1 lg that wasn't strong enough, 2 toshibas that were broken from factory, only wish it had google.

@@david029014 Cool that's good to know that's it's not too loud. I work from home and need something to cool my home office with but I also make and take a lot of phone calls so didn't want anything too loud.
      Thank you sir!

@@soulreaperx7x yes its not bad even when fan is on high, if you put it on low fan, and lower the vent on top so it flush and it blows air straight up its even quieter.

Yeah doesn’t seem like these guys know anything about ACs. Nothing like comparisons of how long each unit took to cool a room, noise levels, or actual power efficiency measurements. Just a bunch of pictures off the web with a voiceover reading marketing material. It doesn’t even mention the real cooling performance SACC metric.

"BTU tells you which Area that can be cooled"
What? I thought rooms were meassured in volume and air wasn't just a layer :-) Ok, this is some dates comercial BS, just like BTU for ACs

More BTU's is NOT BETTER!!!! If the room you want to cool is small, then you need a smaller BTU count. That is, because if you get a machine that can cool an area much larger than your space, it will be completely inefficent and cost a whole lot more to operate, and will break down sooner than a machine "SIZED" for your room size.
Comparing machines that have different BTU ratings is NOT a good comparison of how good or bad a system is.
Compare all 11,000 BTU machines. Compare all 12,000 BTU machines. Compare all 8,000 BTU machines.
Why? Because the BTU rating of a machine is equal to the SQUARE FOOTAGE OF THE SPACE YOU WANT TO COOL.
Too many BTUs for a space only means higher electric bill costs, and more wear and tear on your portable A/C. This is because it will be turning on and off frequently. When an A/C turns on, it has a spike electrical usage. Spike electrical usage costs more than regular electrical usage.
Too few BTUs for a space only means that your machine will NEVER TURN OFF.
That's why standard sized rooms with standard BTUs is the best way to compare machines.
