Yeah don't worry about assist too much just enjoy playing the game that's the most important thing!! When you start getting quicker and understand the game more that's when you can start to adjust the settings to be more realistic (if you want to)!! 👍👍
i am also fairly new to f1 games but now i use manual and suggested gear no pit assist pit release assist on manual race start drs, ers fuel assist off braking assist off dynamic racing line corners only traction controll full and anti lock brakes on
max wheel rotation is only changing how much the driver needs to turn the actual wheel, lower is faster and higher is slower, lower is snappy and higher is more precise
I'm playing with controller as well and I play with the same assists, except ABS. I was 2-3 tenths slower with that, so yeah, it's true. On controller, you're faster with ABS on. As for the wheel rotation, I tried it once and I remember I put the rotation to the maximum. I think that option is optimized for steering wheels or idk. I'll try the 270° rotation. Nice vid btw!

I race with proximity arrows off and map too off, because they cause me so much distraction especially the arrows I want to be able to make decisions on my own not letting the arrows tell me what should be my next move also with the map off, I dont know where other cars are on the map making every move important and the strategies like under cut or over cut a lot more tough to decide
You can actually beat people in a rig with a controller now and I hope 2021 does this for us also make it equal because people like me with issues with my body at times I can't always use a rig so I want to use a controller people shouldn't get mad at controller players they could have hip or leg or back issues like me and at times can't use the rig lol
100% agree, I like to think that it will be similarly balanced between wheel and controller again for F1 2021, and I also think there will always be a debate over a wheel setup or a controller and to be honest I always just think you should go with what is works best for you!! 👍👍

Me I can use my rig but some days I can't I have some serious hip and back issues that make it hard and completely pull me out of wack some days when using my feet and legs in the way needed for the rig not to mention turning the wheel the body automatically leans and can mess me up at times so I need to use the controller some days

In my opinion you turn on so many assist which take the challenge. I think just saying that the pit limiter is important cause it's annoying is not right. That's why you can turn it off because you should have to focus more on such little things. Only my opinion! I don't want to hate and your settings are fine but I would just never drive with them :)
Yeah I get that, I have previously had them all off for a proper sim experience but playing on a controller is never going to give you a proper sim experience, so I just thought I might as well use the assists that help me go that little bit quicker 👍👍
Hey, i got a question. So i'm not actually new to f1 games, but i can't play manual yet. When i tried manual in my difficulty (which is 80), i'm about 1 sec slower, and that frustrating me. I turned off my assist and making it more simulation. But i hit the ceiling because of the auto. Any tips of transition from auto to manual? Should i lower the difficulty and make it less sim or stay on it until i master it? Also i'm using controller on pc. Nice vid btw 👍
Yeah so I had the same thing when I turned all the settings off (and even now that I've moved over to a wheel), its personal preference but I turned down the difficulty so that I was at least competitive and then I gradually increased the difficulty as my pace came back 👍👍 hope that helps

Yeah that's what I thought too, not sure if it actually does change anything or not but I found I was much quicker when I reduced it, so give it a go and see what you think!! 👍👍
hmmm, sounds like it could be stick drift which can be fixed by increasing the dead zone on the controller settings or probably the better solution is to try using a different controller and see if that works!! 👍👍

Why your pit stop looks so smoother that mine? Mine is kinda glitch when it comes in and out of the pit stop ( when you turn in and out to the pit stop to change your tyre)
Hey Ive noticed that when using controller when you turn from one side to another it makes a stop at the middle so silverstone is really hard and when you lose traction you can't make corrections do you know how to fix it?
🤔🤔 I don't have that with my controller, but it sounds like your controller's deadzone is too high, try lowering it in the controller setting!! It might take a little bit of playing around with but that could fix it 👍👍

Is anyone having the same issue where you play the game and when you turn, all the vibration is gone, I reset my controller presets and even reinstalled the game but the vibration feature still keeps going. Its not a problem with my controller as I loaded up the older f1 games and the vibration is perfect.

My friend and I are new to F1, we've been playing with pretty much all the assists off, but I keep on low brake assist. My friend is bellyaching about it and thinks that we aren't playing the game correctly unless we turn all of the assists off. How should we be viewing the assists?
For me the main thing is that you have fun!! It doesn't matter if you use every assist or none of them as long as you are enjoying it, and if you are enjoying it then I don't think there is a right or wrong way to play!! However if you want to be as fast as the top drivers on the game then you will have to learn to race without assists on as that is the fastest way to drive on this game 👍👍

Yeah the only thing I changed in there was the max wheel rotation so I thought it wasn't worth going through all the rest of it for no real reason as it would have made the video crazy long 😂😂 Do you change any of the other settings in calibration??

I connected the DS4 to my pc with the DS4Windows program. I'm entering F1 2020 and there is no Maximum wheel spin part in Vibration settings so the car turns very little how can I solve this?
Ah that's a bit tricky, to be honest I'm not sure there is much you can do other than trying a different controller (if it's a stick drift problem). Sorry I cant really think of anything that will help!!

I don't actually know as I don't have F1 2020 on PC but from my experience with controllers and PC's I'm 99.9% sure it will work!! 👍👍 It's only PlayStation controllers that are a bit more difficult as they need additional software like DS4.
About My Team Career: I have a slight problem, I have my driver difficulty on 50, but when I do qualifying (I have it set to single lap) I mostly get pole pos and I want more of a challenge. Should I do the full qualifying race or use medium tires for a slower time?
Yeah you could do either of those or try increasing the difficulty a bit if you find it too easy as that is probably the best way to make it more of a challenge!! 👍👍
Same goes for me. I used to play on 50 and single lap, but then i changed to 80 and full to make it more difficult. Now i'm about to go manual because i'm an auto retard that can't even pole with ferrari.

I agree I have gout and and can't even drive my car actually traded my wheel rig for a few games because it was to painful trying to use pedal

I do this as well, it seems more intuitive plus you will be using two fingers for gears, not just your thumb when using the default buttons

It should be on the assist settings in pause menu, and then you can choose to have the Dynamic Racing Line on, just the corners or off 👍👍

Hi, We have been playing Formula 1 2021 for a week. We use the left joystick to steer. is it also possible to steer by using the dual sense controller itself as a steering wheel? Just like with a Nintendo switch?
I don't think it is possible, at least I haven't seen the option to be able to do that. I could be wrong though!!

You miss calibration settings
Yeah the only thing I changed in there was the max wheel rotation so I thought it wasn't worth going through all the rest of it for no real reason as it would have made the video crazy long 😂😂
Do you change any of the other settings in calibration??

Some tracks I'm fine with no ABS, but I just did Monaco and holy fuck. I almost broke my PS5. I felt fast and I was 3 seconds off pace.
yeah I struggle without abs on controller, I can do it but I'm definitely much slower!!
I connected the DS4 to my pc with the DS4Windows program. I'm entering F1 2020 and there is no Maximum wheel spin part in Vibration settings so the car turns very little how can I solve this?

Ah that's a bit tricky, to be honest I'm not sure there is much you can do other than trying a different controller (if it's a stick drift problem). Sorry I cant really think of anything that will help!!

I don't actually know as I don't have F1 2020 on PC but from my experience with controllers and PC's I'm 99.9% sure it will work!! 👍👍 It's only PlayStation controllers that are a bit more difficult as they need additional software like DS4.
About My Team Career:
I have a slight problem, I have my driver difficulty on 50, but when I do qualifying (I have it set to single lap) I mostly get pole pos and I want more of a challenge. Should I do the full qualifying race or use medium tires for a slower time?
Yeah you could do either of those or try increasing the difficulty a bit if you find it too easy as that is probably the best way to make it more of a challenge!! 👍👍

But From what I've seen and heard from people who have a steering wheel setup most of them have said that it is faster!!
