I think I remember something like the "couple embracing in the final moments" news story and I immediately thought that total strangers might comfort each other when faced with an impending doom.
Yeah... it's sounds like a lot of guessing. Or storytelling maybe... if it is to "sell newpapers"?
Anyway I get slightly annoyed whenever friendship is portrayed lesser than romantic relationship. It is different for sure, but best friendships have the full emotional and practical dimensions. They fill the heart with joy and love, they give challenges and support. Friends are amazing thing, and "just friends" is annoying saying 🤣
They could also be arch enemies who fought to the very end, but that doesn't sell newspapers (or does it)

He sounds like a chaotic good version of DangerouslyFunny, who is chaotic evil as all heck but has a very similar soothing voice. He does games though. I can’t decide which one to fall asleep to because I either miss wholesome randomness or destruction of untold amounts
