Take a drink every time he says "alpha alpha" 😁. Thanks for the video, I've been using blood meal but Alfalfa is what I'll be looking for!

Great info, i buy a bale of alfalfa hay for my rabbit and chickens. I use it to mulch my my garden and its wonderful to feed them after it breaks down. This does take longer but my end game is great quality soil over time.Mulch is a must here with our heat! Gypsum adds calcium to your soil. I drop a handful of granular gypsum in my tomatoe, pepper and eggplant holes before planting. No blossom end rot . Here in Tx 9b were starting pepper & eggplants now. Tomatoes are sown for New Yrs and we hit soil after Valentines day to get a jump on the heat. Happy gardening 🎉

Yes. I also use alfalfa pellets from Standlee. I grind them up and sprinkle them on the surface and also before planting I mix them into soil. Great stuff!!

It sorta/kinda doubles as a temporary mulch for me. Love the stuff!!

Have been using alfalfa pellets as fertilizer for everything since watching a video about it from Fraser Valley Roses. I go through about one 20 kg sack every season (about US$20]). It’s not only cheap, my roses and other plants (including grass!) are healthier than they ever were with other, far more expensive fertilizers. Have passed this tips on to friends and family and they are also converts!
(I get mine at a local feed store - with new plantings I make the “tea” to help move the process forward.)

I've been using alfalfa hay for YEARS as a mulch layer after all my starters go in the ground. I buy the bales from a local farm store that sells farming supplies. It's straight from Standlee. Im sure the pellets are just as good.

It seems like a good one for raised bed planters and pots.
I am sure gophers will raid and eat entire pellets along with some roots if we apply them in ground. I still think it’s better to use water soluble fertilizer for my in-ground fruit trees.

I love your channel, and you always have great tips. But please... it's Al-fal-fa, not Alfa-Alfa.

LOL, cheaper than human pee? I don't think so. I have been growing my garden for the last 24 months on nothing else (watered down of course).
