This is probably one of the best most detailed and clear videos I’ve seen on these mowers. Thank you for not just throwing something together quickly but rather taking time to do it right. Just purchased one of these in the 54” and I’m ecstatic about it!

I have the Z740R and love it. Great machine and heavy built. I am impressed with the new Z5 series redesign! If I was buying today I would get the Z530R or Z545R because I like a gas gauge.
The redesign was definitely much needed on the Z5’s but I think you made an excellent choice with the Z740R! Thanks for watching!
I commented on your Z545R video about me getting a z530m but that deal fell through. I edited the previous comment to explain what happened. I ended up at a different dealer that had this mower and a z545R. It was a tough choice but I used the money saved going with the z545R over the z720e and got the 7 year warranty and a mulching kit. It was a very tough decision between the two but I am more then happy with my choice.

Very good job! I bought this model after watching this review. I was on the fence with two other makes. This is a heavy-duty 'residential' model for sure. Note: I didn't buy from this dealer because of my location. Well worth the money if you are looking for a long-term investment.

Those transaxle releases will work very well in my situation when I get it stuck in the mud. I use the rear hitch to pull a heavy lawn roller. Not that you care about knowing these things.🤠

Nice mower...
(1). I’m 5’10”. I always need arm rests and having them adjustable is huge
(2) the auto parking brake is really really nice. All Deere Z series should have auto brake switches.
(3) battery location, finally... although I feel like this is a “back to the future” moment. All our old tractors had a similar feature. It was mounted next to the driver seat next to the fender.
(4). Cut out spots for switches is a good thing
What I’d like to see added.
(1). Work with Line-X and have the mower deck coated with Line-X. Both on the inside and outside. line-x wan make it the same color.
(2) an electric adjustable stripping kit
(3) mulching kit electronic vs manual.
(4) lights front / side / rear along with flashing warning light.

Is there a mulch kit or chute block available for this model
Yes, there are Mulch Control kits for any size of deck on this mower. This kit will allow you to easily open and close the chute to quickly change from side discharging to mulching. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!
I have this exact mower - Z720e. It's a great mower. Can someone tell me what part number for seat cover that fits this 21 inch highback seat?

Where specifically are the fuel tanks located on the 2021 z700 series? John Deere technical info nor the owners manual show an exploded view or comment on this. I’m intertest in knowing if they have moved the center of gravity high or low. I have as much as 25-27º at points and regularly 5-15º, so stability is important. And along those lines would it be possible to make this series dualized rear wheels?
It is a single 8 gallon tank that is located in the middle of the mower directly under the seat. and as far as making it dualized I am not sure. I don't know how well the transaxles would handle that as I have never seen it done before.

It should be tucked behind the left rear wheel.
What’s the biggest Kawasaki (HP) rating can you get on this mower?
If you move up to the Z730M the HP goes to 24.

Unfortunately I am still not seeing a Tweel that is the correct size for the Z920M 48" deck. Even when looking on their sizing chart and list of mowers they fit they do not have them.

John Deere does not have enough leg room I’m 510 I’m on one all day I have a cub cadet I can stretch legs out fully

3100 series trans very weak for a mid level mower. Deere should of used at least the 3400. Oh wait maybe they used them in the 9 series.
The transmissions do go up when you get to the Z9 series but we have had no issues with the transmissions in the Z7's so far. Thanks for watching!
JD really cheaped out on the seat. The springs are worthless. This is another example that you're paying more for the green paint. This is also why JD doesn't compete with the big names in commercial mowers.
You have to keep in mind that this is the "E" series, which means it is the base model for this lineup. You can jump up into an "M" or "R" and get into a better seat, This is also just the high end residential mower. The Z900's are the true commercial mowers. its a hard decision between John Deere and Bobcat. John Deere is adding the little things
I got this model last summer after two seasons of push mowing about an acre and a half when my other rider went out.
I cut more than i was before in about 45-60 minutes vs 7 hours pushing.
This machine is a grass cutting monster. I would buy it again

John deere knows exactly what they're doing, the engine AND trans axles are RESIDENTIAL quality and NOT Commercial.... Despite what he says. In this price range an equally priced Toro has a true commercial engine and Trans axles... John deere has become a total rip off!

You're gonna tell me a 3100 transaxle and the fr engine are commercial? My x380 has the fs engine and it's only a 380... Like I said, in this price range, the guys who know machines, know jd is skimping
