As a Hellboy enthusiast I was very very against this reboot because I was afraid they just wanted to Deadpool the movie. If the story warrants an R rating then fine but they're actively chasing it which leads to cornball lines like "where's my fucking violin" and gratuitous Gore. Look I want the movie to be good, but I haven't yet seen anything that tells me it will be.
I stopped paying attention at "How does this compare to Guillermo Del Toro's movies". Right there I know that everything else they have to say will lack any and all objectivity and will just be the usual fanboy bitching and moaning. Fanboys, which, btw, make up about 0.1% of the audience for comic book movies (a generous estimate) despite their annoyingly vocal nitpicking. And I say that as a fan myself. Not exactly the best judges of what the majority of audiences will or will not enjoy. I guess I just don't see the point of comparing one movie to a completely separate series of movies, by complete separate filmmakers. First of all, you're removing any chance of being able to judge the movie objectively which means your eventual review of the film will be a waste of time to most people, but more importantly, you're going out of your way to limit how much enjoyment you can personally get out of it. IMO, the best vampire movie ever made is Werner Herzog's remake of Nosferatu. If I went into every new vampire movie with the mind frame of "How does this compare to Herzog's Nosferatu?", I'd only be shooting myself in the foot and ensuring that I won't get the maximum possible enjoyment out of the experience. Why on earth would I want to do that?
Riding the dragon with the flaming sword was so metal! And I’ll watch anything with Ian McShane in it. I think it looks pretty cool.
I like the blood, MILA JOVOVICH, SMOKE ON THE WATER and HELLBOY riding the dragon, but it's true, this is the third part, not a reboot.
It is a reboot
when are you byz going to do the Mandalorian and E9 reaction?!
The face is difficult however it seems this movie is far darker and the face matches that darkness
That was So METAL it Need to be a Metallica Album Cover.
I'm still on the fence about this reboot. It just feels so lackluster.
Could you guys react to Shazam trailer 2
