You can’t tell me a young Smallville high schooler Clark Kent NEVER used his x-ray vision to see a nice rack every now and then. There’s just no chance. They did water down Smallville Sups to the max. This Brightburn movie has me so interested because it answers the question us Superman fans have been wondering forever... “What would happen if Superman came to earth and was evil as FUCK.” This movie may answer that. I remember reading somewhere when this short came out a few years ago that the story was licensed for a full length movie. ua-cam.com/video/Gj1MqHgFnmE/v-deo.html I thought that is what Brightburn was, but Brightburn looks much darker. Who knows though, maybe the story evolved into this.
This looks killer!!! No definitely Psychopath!! This could be a kool way to intro the ustopable villains first and maybe a superhero comes along to stop this guy; I don’t know just a thought
According to Wikipedia's article about this movie, Brandon is not a sympathetic character. He's not a Carrie. I hate bullying as much as anyone, but Brandon's unpopularity among his classmates was deserved. They knew that Brandon had been spying on Caitlyn while she was minding her own business at home. As far as I know (not having seen this movie), none of the characters Brandon killed had been mean to him. I first saw a trailer of this movie when I saw the recent Pet Sematary movie (which turned out to be disappointing). It's just a pointless, depressing deconstruction of Superman. I definitely won't be seeing it. Sorry for being negative. :)
Thats a big conclusion to jump to just by reading a Wikipedia article. Personally(while not perfect as there are some things i personally wanted to see that didn't happen), I think it fits for the type of alien Brandon is, many believe the scene of Brandon explaining what wasps and the maggots do in a nest is an explanation of what his kind do, after being raised in the nest by something else they grow and take over the nest which was the message given to Brandon upon finding is pod. I wished they showed off the laser beams more as it was only used in 3 scenes unfortunately, but Brandon killed anyone who threatened to get him in trouble with his parents or crossed him(the waitress, sheriff, etc) If you go to freshmoviestreams.net you can watch it free in HD, so there's no excuse to not want to pay to watch it but I think you should give it a watch, I love the idea of dark heros, the whole goody goody hero thing is out played and boring, so to me this is a nice change of pace (yes I'm aware of other dark stories like red son superman) Also theres a nice little reference to soemthing i loved at the end. :)
