I used to constantly get told that I sounded like Lloyd Grossman. It was the result of elementary school in Canada and high school, college and uni in England.
I swear, when I heard this guy’s accent I thought he was more Australian-Scottish-Irish (though leaning more towards Australian) than British American! I don’t hear many Americanisms in his speech, which is odd, considering that if you are an American living in the UK for a while, you’d have some degree of Americanisms with a hint of an English inflection to it. I’m certain that isn’t the case whenever he goes back to Massachusetts (where he was born and raised), the accent comes back fairly quickly.
Grossman’s accent is like one of those cars made of loads of bits of other cars. If he had doors they would be a different colour to the rest of him.
