I lived a couple of miles from where it happened getting ready for work I'll never forget the phone call from my mother crying she couldn't tell me then my dad couldn't get his words out then he tells me what happened I went into shock I didn't want to believe them then I get a call from work asking if I was ok to work which I wasn't but it would of been worse if I stayed home, We all lost a Great Person with a Heart of Gold I can go on and on about her Thank You All For Showing Y'alls Love For Her 😭💔

@EML Trucking Gloria Estefan doesn’t have a powerhouse voice like Selena did, or the dancing ability Selena did back in her day. Plus Gloria Estefan was Born in Cuba, Selena was a Mexican American that was born here and represented us Latinos who are born and raised here. Two different talents, one was destined to reach far greater success in their career, that being Selena

It's Always Important to Keep Her Legacy ALIVE. I Highly Suggest to Look into Joe Nick Patoski's Interview. He is Talking about Selena & Her Family. And he also was talking about How Southern Texas is Which is Where Selena is From....................

I love how Selena was changing the look of Mexican- Tex Mex music & I am pretty sure she would have done this in her English album. Some times I wish I had a time machine to go back and save her.

Some people dance like that because they learned it early from Grandma and Grandpa.
It is a cultural thing that is learned.
Not everything is from the point of view of carnal, but more from the point of feeling and love and family.
I wish there was a way to bridge the gaps of understanding to make it more of an appreciation of history to know of how and why the dance is danced.

Si Una Vez, check that one out, if you have my apologies, barely going through your catalog of videos and I sincerely like them. I'm in Houston Texas, this woman here, that was a huge event! I love Selena's music!! Tejano era was the shit, at school they used to pretend to be her but they never let me join in, they said I wasn't Mexican enough (redhead Mexican)! You believe that, like Miklo in Blood In Blood Out "I may be white on the outside but I'm brown on the inside, to the bone!" I didn't care this one was my jam, but it's something that I remember when listening to her music, them mean little girls. Good times! 😂😂😂

Selena was definitely something special. It’s a shame she left this Earth at an early age. She was 1 in a million.

Yes gentlemen in the right, yes he’s black, that was her friend John who also passed away shortly after her, he died of cancer. Now they’re both dancing and joking together like that they were when they were alive.

I came upon your Selena reactions and cried. You genuinely loved her as an artist and person. I was 14 when she died in 1995 and she was my idol. When you do the reviews you seem so happy and into it. I appreciate all of them so much. I subscribed ♥️I love your joy in music.

I like how this dude genuinely gets it. It's so hard to explain this to people who never grew up w this music. They just never get the real impact she left. How tremendously talented she was. From her fashion to her music to her whole vibe. They see it now and don't fucking get it.

If you really wanna see Don represent, then check out Selena singing “Baila Esta Cumbia” in this concert. Selena stands aside and allows the back up dancers/singers to take the spotlight. Don gets down!
