Great video! I've been through the Sync Audio several times but literally had no idea you could tap the screen to see the green line. I was trying my best to align the bars by sight only 😄😄😄 Thank you again!
Same here lol. This video has helped me drastically gaining a lot more perfect+ hits and improve my score along with the other tip about the hold notes
Rabbit's Foot - THANK YOU for explaining this - I thought I was going mad!! It doesn't matter how much I felt the beat, it just seems off in a few places. Reassuring to know I'm not alone!
ok! that fixed a lot! I was being too visual with it, and the default 90ms on my device seemed about right for that. But in tapping while listening (and anticipating) the beat I found that what I really need is closer to 10-20ms. Instantly bumped me up from 4 to 5 stars on several songs! And my first Gold! Sweet! Getting gold+ still feels pretty impossible though lol. But I probably have more than a little room for improvement.
Personal preference does come into play as well here which is why you shouldn't just copy someone's sync. I for example prefer the timing to be slightly before the visual beat in songs because it helps me keep up with the extreme fast sections but it does mean I have to readjust my game to more visual than audio in the beginning sections of songs.
Omg I have been playing this since the beginning and I do have pretty good scores but always seem to miss one or two BUT I just synced it after watching this I played some that were still in gold or purple amd absolutely smashed them!!!!! Thank you so much 🤩🎤🎶 x

Thanks to this video, I won more than 10 gold medals and 3 platinum. no diamond yet. I feel a little that I haven't synchronized well yet but hey wow I won a lot of medals. thank you
No matter how right it seems when I sync the audio, when I go to play a song and try tapping to the sound it always feels off, I get a lot more Perfect+ when tapping to the visuals. It's confusing to me, because I've played plenty of rhythm games over the years and this is one of only a few where it never feels right no matter how much I try to fix it. I feel like it would help a lot if the game had an option to see how early or late I'm tapping in actual songs, instead of just in the sync tool.
Same! That's why I came here. There are some songs I know by heart. I know every little detail. And still not getting near the 100%. But when I do it visually somehow I get a better score. That is so frustrating to me
@@Lindastyle sync can be different for some songs. Try it in the intro first. If it still feels off, increase the delay (+10 ms), or decrease the delay (-10 ms), depends on what works better. Thank you for the help. This helped me get my very first Diamond Perfect 🤩. It was on Radioactive. Check my account even and it will say that I have one perfect score. Thank you again!
Thanks, I’m still getting a ton of perfects because Beatstars hit timing is so precise it requires you to tap exactly on the millisecond to get all perfect +
Actually relative to other rhythm games the timing window in beatstar is very generous. I’d estimate it’s about 30ms “wide” (15 on either end of frame perfect). If you have solid rhythm and your still getting perfs you aren’t calibrated yet. This tutorial is another method to help you dial in ua-cam.com/video/zqRUoyHDfTs/v-deo.html
I tried, I really did. I sync just like your video. And even if I got better results, I still don't get why it's so difficult for me to get the diamonds. To this day, I just have 3 platinum diamonds having played more than 70 songs (not counting songs I replay). I don't get why I still have at least 20 perfect notes in every song instead of all "perfect +" when I just sync the one the game is telling me to sync with. I'm so frustrated right now.
They really need to improve the sync audio function in this game. There HAS to be a better way. How nice would it be to have the option to sync when you pause a song?
Yeah we’ve asked for more granular sync in +5/-5 increments but we’ll see. Calibrating sync is a tricky but fundamental skill. Other games like Phigros require a player to figure it out too. As for pausing, I actually prefer screen recording and reviewing my footage so as to not stop the flow of music. Start-stop would interrupt me personally too much. I have another video on Perfect+ highlight that shows how I do that!
As annoying as start/stop would be, it's tough to start a song with the wrong calibration and have to play through the whole song that way especially with how they limit how many times a day you can play without paying. I'm not going for all Diamonds, I just wanna ENJOY the game. Thanks for the tips though.
I have absolutely NO musical background, other than the fact that I love music and listen to a wide variety of music. What's a quarter note? How do I know if I'm tapping out a quarter note in time? @@JohnGrey237 Not quite. I have 246 diamonds now and 1 diamonds perfect. I still have issues on certain songs particularly extremes finding the right sync.
Man I’ve been playing a few months now, lots of diamonds, lots of platinums, lots of gold, and a handful of hard/extremes that just eat my lunch no matter how many times I play them. I think even after all this syncing and bs I’m just capped. I still can’t get sub 15 perfects…Some of these songs I really like and groove, screen record those and try to determine my more late/early with and still just can’t get any better than what I am now. Highest score is like 49,624. 2 seconds into a song hit a “perfect” and this isn’t even fun anymore sometimes, Now it’s frustrating and I think the whole “perfect +” is a shit thing anyways. Oh you got all perfects but didn’t perfect the song because there’s PERFECT+! What kinda dog shit sense does that make
Hello there! I tried this out initially didn't know what the audio sync means, so i tried to set a new value after watching your vid, will it work for all songs? We do not need to adjust the sync for each song right?
Yeah the concept is to find the 'base sync' for your device. I'd say 85% of my Diamond Perfects are achieved with my base sync. Over time you'll get a feel for if the notes are a bit 'ahead' or 'behind' in a given chart which will help you tweak +/-10ms adjustments. But NO it doesn't need to be adjusted for every single song.
Any advice for Rabbits Foot? It's one of only a couple hard songs I can't get a diamond on. I heard in comments of other videos that it was mapped poorly, but didn't really understand in what way.
Good question! It's mapped poorly in the sense that it's out of sync between stages. The verses lag behind relative to the chorus. My advice would be to find a sync that allows you to play the syncopated chorus "I need some kind of voodoo...etc" precisely on beat the way it's meant to be played. Then just play a little slower in the verses because they're mostly straight 1/8th note rhythms. For me, this was +10 ms from my base sync value.
Hi... Try to understand, but still i don't get it. Because my English is bad. So can you tell me how can i get the perfect+? Is it true what i do? (Sorry for my grammar and English 🙏)
To get diamond perfect you need to score all Perfect+ with no perfects. The goal of syncing is to align the audio with the video on your device so you can play the songs by ear instead of by eye.
@@BarberPlugTy a Perfect+ is the most accurate note and worth the highest point value. It’s absolute perfect tempo with about 10 to 15 ms grace on either side making the window about 20-30ms wide. A Perfect is scored when you’re outside of that window by another 10-20milliseconds or so. These notes don’t interrupt your multiplier but are worth less.
Good question! Every device make/model has it's own ideal delay which if you think about it makes sense. Devices have evolved over the last few years alone with faster processing chips, screen refresh rates, etc, which all affect how the device runs the game.
Ive played with this I still don't understand. What is the green line? Mine doesn't appear on the spot where I tap nor does it ever look lined up between the white bars like yours does
The green line shows up whenever you tap the screen. WHERE it shows up is dependent on when you tap in time. Pretend there's a simple song playing in the background with 4 notes scrolling down over and over. 1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4, and you're trying to tap along. When you're dialed, in the spot where the green line will be on the imaginary note corresponding to "1" (the downbeat) is where you need to set the white lines. Check and adjust repeatedly until its consistent - then you're calibrated.
I don't know what it is with this game but it just feels impossible to perfectly synch the audio in this one, something always seems off. Funnily enough this is the only rythm & beat game where I have problems with, and I am no Master on these games. On normal mode I am able to play a song almost perfectly and then sometimes in between there are a few notes that I don't hit for whatever reason despite going flawless in a chorus f.e. before.. dunno what it is, and the game really does a poor job of telling you. Also going from Normal to Hard mode songs, I play exactly as I hear it yet it is still off, cycling between Perfect + and normal Perfects all the time despite tapping exactly on beat.
A great question! Generally, if it isn't bluetooth connected it shouldn't affect sync. However, I've seen variability in my own personal experience with my wired headsets so like to remove the variable when making DP runs.
That's generally the idea, yeah. But the actual perfect+ zone in the game is about 20-30milliseconds wide which is about the thickness of the two lines so as long as you're hitting it consistently you should be dialed in.
I’m not quite sure what you’re asking? Beatstar doesn’t natively have a metronome built in so I’d recommend using a website or free app on your non-beatstar device to create the 160BPM quarter notes you can tap along to sync to!
Sure does! My point is that if you got a new pair of wireless headphones the saved settings may not work because you’ve fundamentally changed your hardware and it needs a recal. 6 months ago when I made this video people didn’t realize internal speaker and Bluetooth equipment should have different settings.
What ? I wish my english and knowledge was good enough to understand this. What Numbers to i have to bee on when I tap the frist times and den second time? What did he do the first time that he did not do the first time ?
The green line shows up whenever you tap the screen. WHERE it shows up is dependent on when you tap in time. Pretend there's a simple song playing in the background with 4 notes scrolling down over and over. 1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4, and you're trying to tap along. I’m not quite sure what you’re asking? Beatstar doesn’t natively have a metronome built in so I’d recommend using a website or free app on your non-beatstar device to create the 160BPM quarter notes you can tap along to sync to!
I play on 0ms, I have lots of diamonds but no perfect scores
Came back to re watch and seen my comment haha. Update, 6 Di Perfects now and diamonds on extremes too 10 or 20 ms on certain songs
Is this in phone settings or the game settings? I can’t even find it
The Sync Audio feature is in the game settings in the menu in the upper right!
I dunno if it's good but I close my eyes and do it and quickly look and do it a bunch of times to see where it averages out
it saves 2 settings, one for wireless headphone one for internal speakers....
When you're dialed, in the spot where the green line will be on the imaginary note corresponding to "1" (the downbeat) is where you need to set the white lines. Check and adjust repeatedly until its consistent - then you're calibrated.
@@VertigoMusicGaming yes that part I got. But I dont understand the delay or the number he is switching. Mine says 50 and his says 140 and then he goes to 300 and back to 140. What number should I have? 300, 140 or 50?
I set mine to 40

I just hear the beep one time then it disappear
When I wear my headphones
