It was a lot of fun to get to know all of you, but it surely wasn't fun trying to overtake with 300ping...
Well, I guess that's how it goes sometimes, an interesting experience to remember and I'm hoping for more in the near future!
haha thanks man
BeamMP and Automation, the possibilities are near endless.
haha very much so, it's why I love it so much
In his creation, with a bit of blender!
Wish I could've joined, well there's always next time :)
I'm excited to see you get back on your content creation horse too
ouch, never realized the extent of what happened to venz, hopefully things get better
yeah, he's still trying to make content though, I can't wait for him to get better

19:50 RIP server thanks to my janky internet! Ended up restarting it the next day and it performed a lot better than before.
awesome! It'd be great if you could join us in the next one :)
@@fillman86 Will do!
OH DEAR LORD I HOPE THIS IS THE START OF A WHOLE NEW ERA OF THE AUTOMATION/BEAM COMMUNITY
we can hope :)
@@fillman86 Preach it my dude! Goddamn do I love your content as well as the content of other creators in the community.
Seeing you all come together is like watching "The Expendables" where all those iconic action movie Actors were cast in the same movie.
It's good stuff :)
ALSO: I love the look of your car! It looks a lot like a Spyker C8 GT2-R with a Group C front end slapped on
Also I really hope things start getting better for Venz. His content is really great and from what little I've chatted with him in the comments on your videos he's genuinely a nice guy.
@@omar.alsharif lol I like the expendables likening XD I'm still trying to bring more together.
wow I always thought the spiker was ugly with its bad proportions, but in this race trim (that I didn't know existed), I love it!
Love to venz from America
he's a good guy, and doesn't deserve what happened to him
Thank you
it's the crossover episode!! A small bunch of people with similar interests getting together and having a fun race actually makes for far better viewing than the average F1 race (cars drive quickly, a penalty is issued, driver gets annoyed by team strategy, Hamilton or Vettel wins) in my eyes, so I hope more like this happens in the future!
haha I like f1..... but I'm not going to lie, I only ever watch the highlights :P It's just so boring haha
@@fillman86 to be fair I haven't watched a full, live F1 face in almost 10 years. First corner was the highlight of the race!
I'm guessing it's largely the same these days even though I don't watch, I sometimes hear the results on the sports news.
i see you indeed do know the most important part about colabs, the sub count of the person you are colabing with.
and so do i

The car is also (at least judging by incorrect Automation information) running almost 10x less downforce than what would've been competitive. Group C cars made upwards of 2 tonnes of downforce with AAR Toyota Eagle MkIII (IMSA GTP car from 1991-93) making over 4 tonnes in max downforce configuration. I understand it might've been difficult with the rules though.
unfortunately beamng isn't really accurate to real life yet. I had loads more downforce, but found it still usable with less. It's also nearly impossible to stop a car from bottoming out if it wants to, without ruining handling.
I did try a few times to find out how much downforce they created, but the information was sparse, because it changed often with new tech, and rules.
We also can't get the same sort of rotation to reduce aero at top speeds like they did, because of the bottoming out issue haha So running less is kinda required
Fun fact: at LeMans, the Group C cars could reach 390 kmh in the Mulsan straight, and thats why they put chicanes
and it changed nothing :P
Here it is! Finally the collab I heard whispers about! ❤️
yeah, I kept it a total secret :P I bet you could tell me your bank details, and I wouldn't tell anyone else HAHA

thanks man, though this is an old one :P
Next one if I may could I recommend 1969 trans-am series
don't really know what that is. Isn't that just a car?
Sorry let me elaborate from my understanding the trans am racing series was an American Motorsport during the 60s and 70s mainly where muscle cars went racing on road courses the exact rules and specs of it I'm unsure of but if I'm correct no vehicles allowed in engine larger than 5L
Mustang, Camaro, Firebirds, and the AMC Javelin just to name a few.
Also I believe that's where the Pontiac Firebird Trans-am got it's name from
@@kylestacks7197 oh okay, so just 5L muscle cars? I'll add it to the list
I'll do a bit of research right quick but I know that's the big thing

Is there a download to the car with what looks like a Porsche livery on the right at 17:32? I believe Tievskiy drove it, and I want to download it but I can't find where.
That was made by Tievskiy, and it was based on a ford I believe, but I believe you'd have to go ask him
@@fillman86 alright, i'd love to be able to drive it, looks incredible, massive step up from what you'd find on the in-game repository.

Forza Motorsport is a simulation.....Forza Horizon isn't!
I've driven both, and neither are sims :P I will admit that motorsport is less arcade like, but I'd only be willing to go as far as a sim-cade like people call gran turismo sport, and project cars 3
@@fillman86 No...I have to take a stand on this.
Motorsport has over 800 physics calculations for all aspects of the car refreshed at 360 times a second...it is the most accurate simulation out there and those are facts you can look up!
The fact that they made it more entertaining than BeamNG in it's implementation is the real engineering miracle...but someone calling it "Arcade" is just pure ignorance. The heavy disinformation campaign by PlayStation types didn't help matters, yelling lies about the brand because it threatened GT, imagine of some dickhead with a Gran Turismo avatar pic started saying "BeamNG is crap because it has no physics & damage modelling".
@@alexandriabrangwin you know, I've never looked much into fm7, just occasional game play, and by the way the cars semi slide at high speed, the off feel of speed, and breaking ... it's a sim-cade...
Don't get me wrong, lots of people like sim cade. GT sport is a sim-cade... which is why I didn't like it when I played it (and may never play it again)
I'm comparing it to true-er sims like assetto corsa competizione, which I play in my spare time. Also R-Factor 2 (which I'm going to be getting into soon too) is what I'd consider a realistic sim.
How many calculations it does is not the point :P I'm not telling you to not like it, but to realise there's different types of games
@@fillman86 I think I see the core of the discussion...the "feel".
FM7 is accurate, but tied to a more accessible handling model....Assetto (got it too) is beyond sloppy on the math but tied to a less forgiving & weighty control.....Horizon is drunk fireworks sex in a bonfire!
@@alexandriabrangwin a "more accessible handling model" is what we call arcade like :P
Comparing assetto coras, to assetto corsa competizione is like comparing fh4 to fm7 :P
Why did you say Mazda 787B cheated? To my knowledge, everything was fine with it.
they didn't break any rules, they.... found a way around, and the governing body banned it because it was against the spirit of the rules :P
what they could have done is.... any kind of research, and made a capacity limitation specifically for rotaries instead. But I suppose banning was just easier haha
@@fillman86 They never really banned rotaries from C2 category I belive. They just banned all engines from C1 and made everyone use 3.5 NA engines of any cylinder number and arrangement type (like F1 in those years). Problems was - it became too expensive (I mean F1 engines duh), so no manufacturer really wanted to invest (only Jaguar, Toyota and Peugeot took it seriously with Mercedes doing some tests, but never racing and Mazda took a Judd engine for their Jaguar-XJR-14-based effort). Of course there was no way for privateers to even compete in C1 at that time. Cars like Porsche 962 (2.8-3.2 flat 6 TT) which, prior to 1991, used to be C1 were put in C2 from 1991 to 1993 and heavily nerfed (more weight for example).
@@DonatProdanSimRacing yeah, motorsport bodies make some odd decisions... I feel it's an ego thing :P
@@fillman86 Can't comment on that, but it was some fishy stuff definitely. There are theories saying they purposely killed Group C so that it wouldn't steal F1's glory or something. I'm mean, it's maFIA afterall.
Hello there
why hello there ;)
general kenobi
YOU ARE A BOLD ONE
Half of the stuff is wrong. You said everyone wanted to use 3.5 F1 engines to keep it simple. No one wanted that, that's why Group C died. And those rules happened in 1991 and lasted until 1993, the last year of Group C. And it was like that only in WSC and at Le Mans, not in IMSA or JSPC. Mazda didn't do any crap to get around the rules. Their engine was perfectly legal for C2 category back in 1991.
there was many work arounds to get the rules to line up with the map that we'd planned to use (but had to switch to spa), so that's why the year was off. As for mazda, they were sooooo cheating, but not breaking the rules :P It's like the people with the first flexible f1 wings.... the rules were there, but were ill defined haha much like the lack of regulation on rotaries (though I don't think banning them was the right idea)
as for specifics, I couldn't read every single article in the whole entire world. Whilst skimming, it seemed that the FIA, with a few manufacturers wanted to make racing more affordable/safe, and going with 3.5L engines was their solution. (it may or may not have been the best choice, but they felt something needed to be done) :)
I wish I knew everything, but I have limitations on time, I'm dyslexic, and I'm always freaking editing a video, so I'm usually tired XD
@@fillman86 Once again, Mazda wasn't cheating. Their engine was perfectly legal for pre-1991 C1 and in 1991 it got put in C2 category due to rule changes. Yes it was heavily illegal for C1 in 1991, but it never raced in C1 anyway.
@@DonatProdanSimRacing they didn't break the rules no.... they broke the spirit of the rules. And that's just as good as the real thing.
people like to argue that they didn't, but I'm forever going to be un-budging on this haha. If they had have seen the rotary's potential incoming long enough away, they would have banned it before
@@fillman86 Common misconception. Mazda 787B was actually dogshit. It was super slow and rotary engine was only reliable compared to F1 engines (which obviously weren't designed to lap at Le Mans for 24h). So new rules didn't ban rotary because it was good. It just banned all engines that weren't 3.5 NA, that meant godly Porsche 3.0 flat 6, Jaguar 7.0 V12 and Mercedes-Sauber, all of which, of course, won at Le Mans before 1991.
