Are you sure this is an abandoned railway? It looks too active and I think those Class 50's are privately owned. Whilst its nice to see old trains, I do not approve trespassing.
Its the Peak Rail heritage railway, and it is an active site. The 50s are owned by the Renown Repulse Restoration Group, of which I have been an active member since 2002.
That is Renown and Repulse, and they, like all the vehicles that are on site, are private property. This video has been forwarded to the Peak Rail management and Derbyshire Police.
@@andyrowlands50029 Not like rozzers will take interest with it being private land Trespass is a civil tort depends on if the landowner wants to try and sue. From what I know it is only criminal trespass if the railway is part of the mainline national network owned by Network Rail.

I had a feeling this was not abandoned the moment I saw those two Class 50's as far as I know, they are privately owned and I don't think there is any left that are abandoned. Whilst I like seeing old trains and true abandoned train yards, I do not approve of trespassing and it give all railfans a bad name. I would like to visit and see those Class 50's but only when its open to the public and I would be happy for a proper tour with a donation ;).
I thought locomotives were units not vehicles, and wagons and carriages put together are called trains I am not joking mate I love railways I just wanted to know if I was on the right track, I am glad no one has set fire to these trains but there's people out there who don't appreciate stuff especially old stuff , godbless you,

Does annoy me that people see railway stuff in sidings that have been graffiti'd and looking abandoned but are very much not due to the cost and capacity to get these units into working order again and sometimes it does take years to see things happening so they wait on sidings until their owners get them sorted. That class 50 is prob worth more than you would earn in your lifetime and in revenue earning service an absolute fortune maker for hiring it being a 110mph express diesel the charter folks would be queuing up all day to hire that for their charters. Take a look, admire etc but do leave abandoned railways alone really as the 10000 ppl who have watched this, there is likely that one who would quite like to maybe steal things because even small items are worth a lot of money in the railway collecting sphere and more often than not to cover their theft they set fire to stuff and all those owners have lost their pride and joy.
Might be completely wrong but looks to me like you have just gone into heritage railway stock yard somewhere 🤷♂️all those carriages etc are probably just waiting to be restored. If I’m right I would take the video down as you could get done for trespassing

It’s not abandoned. 50029 and 50030 are part of the RRRG (Renown Repulse Restoration Group).

Trespassing is a Civil Offence, not a Criminal one. The police won't give a toss.
@@garyh1572 Anyone caught trespassing while I am there on a day when the railway is not operating will wish they had chosen to go elsewhere.
