Beautiful Weddell Seals of Antarctica

Every year, a research team from Montana State University returns to Antarctica during the Weddell seal pupping season to study these beautiful seals in the Erebus Bay area of the Ross Sea. Initiated in 1968, this is one of the longest running studies of a long-lived mammal anywhere, and focusses on the southernmost mammal residing on our planet.
