What a cool dude. Buys a plane and keeps emphasizing that all of his friends can use it to get licensed. Huge respect. Just wants to see his friends succeed.
The fact that he immediately wants everyone on his team to be able to get a license and share his aircraft is admirable. I can't imagine having a boss that wants to do this for his people. Friends or not, Garrett is a class act.
Yes, a great team. Hopefully everyone remembers that it is his channel, and they ultimately work for him. I think he treats them right, and they enjoy coming to work each day. Cleetus, you never cease to amaze me. I've been a pilot for nearly 30 years now, and I can say it takes a special kind of person to commit to the lifestyle. You have got to be sharp, serious, always learning, humble, analytical, physically and mentally fit, always thinking ahead, fearless yet respectful. It also takes a financial commitment. There are less than 1% of the population who are licensed pilots. Yup. This is literally the only channel that if I see a new video is uploaded, I will stop what I am doing to watch it because all their videos are awesome. Plus, all the guys on the channel are super cool and super funny, especially George.
I respect you for taking it seriously and only showing us when you were confident you could do so safely. At every possible turn Cleetus shows how good of a person he truly is. Always lifting the team up and giving honest credit and support to his guys is top notch. I do not know much about airplanes or aviation in general but seeing how excited George was to be flying a plane and seeing Cleet sharing experiences like that with his crew is something that cant be replaced.
Now tell me why in the hell the FAA is classifying rc airplanes the same as drones? Basically putting a knife in the side of rc hobby. The FAA needs to worry about full scale issues these days... not some toy airplanes that cause zero issue with manned aircraft.
First he made faces while shifting now he's making faces while landing lol man the amouny of love and respect I have for this man is crazy. So proud of cleetus for coming so far
This is hands down the best UA-cam channel there is. Also George is so lucky that he became part of the team. I feel like his life is so much better doing all these things. Every member of the team is important. Great content every single time. Great job guys.
Dude.. the way you lead your crew to push themselves not only for the fleet of full blown race cars from crown vics to mullet to toast and killa bee then everything in between but also hand them the tools to better they’re own life experiences is so amazing. We all need a boss like you. Thank you for bringing us on this journey. 👍🏻
I’m a student pilot, very enamored with bush planes. I was at the drag strip in February, saw you practicing STOL stuff. Walked over & met Alan, asked what brand the plane was & if it was ok if I watched for a bit. Had no idea who was flying it, so pretty cool seeing you flying the same approach in this video. Enjoy it man!!!
We should all strive to be a bit more like cleet just a solid all round human being I don’t know how anyone couldn’t like this man so much dedication and effort into everything he does along with the respect and loyalty he shows to his employees and friends is so inspirational, idk if you’ll see this Garrett but keep doing you cause it’s amazing to watch
@@SethBergile Extremely few channels which both builds drag cars and shows one of the mechanics getting licensed for the shop airplane. I think it would be a great series. Keep in mind this would not be every video for two weeks, but rather one video here and there.
It’s great to see guys like Garrett start to explore aviation as an outlet. As a professional pilot myself who watches these videos for non-aviation content, it’s really cool to see this channel develop an aviation interest. It brings multiple gworlds together..Two thumbs up.
In a world where they say you can do anything if you set your mind too, cleeter you my friend are the #1 example. Congratulations on all your continued success and for including your guys in the adventures
“And then you guys can get your pilot’s license in this thing…” Cleet seems like such a good dude. Always seems to be thinking of his friends too as he pursues the fun in life.

He genuinely wants these guys to share in his love for aviation. Such a solid human being and has a great giving personality. What a pleasant suprise! With a Carbon cub you take your airport with you wherever you go! I kinda new you would be an aviator. Your lingo flying the RC planes was spot on and very telling! LOL! I Got my license in 1980 when I was 20. Cost me less than $ 950 bucks ! In 1989 I got 4.5 hrs in a 1946 Aeronca Champ 65HP (hand prop only) for my tailwheel endorsement near Seattle then 2 hrs of T&G's in a 2 seat Pitts S2A .So my first Tailwheel solo with a whopping 6.4 hrs of TW time was in my Pitts S1S 180 Hp O-360 (hand prop only). Pilots said I was crazy to solo with so few TW hrs in a Pitts Special , but like you I learn quick and racked up the required 25 hr to get the insurance needed for aerobatic contests. Since then in order, the Pitts Special S1S for competition aerobatics, a Christen Eagle II, Vans RV-3B and an RV-4, a 1946 Piper clipped wing L4/J3 cub fully aerobatic (hand prop only), and my favorite a 1991 Yakovlev Yak-55M with 360 HP geared and supercharged radial engine Vedeneyev M-14P, 3000 ft a minute rate of climb and over 300 degrees per second roll rate. VNE 450 kph / 279 mph .Then full formation checkout with the BlackJack squadron of Arlington Wa. Congrats on your new bird ! I know its only a matter of time before you take an aerobatic course in an Extra 300 or similiar . Sorry for long wind, but ole Cleeter got me Fired Up!
My dad had a cub and we flew all the time. The most fun I had was dropping bowling balls, 2 liter sodas bottles filled with paint, pumpkins and anything else we thought of onto targets that we put out in a field. Flying with the door open is the best. Congrats on the new toy and be safe brother!!
That sounds awesome. Wonder what the laws are for planes, like, we have car laws for streets. Chucking stuff out of a plane for fun? lol I’d do it. Just wondering if that’s frowned upon or not lol. 😊
I think its safe to say and that everyone would agree with me... We are ALL so very proud of you Cleet! Look at how far you`ve come throughout the years. Hell Yeah Brother!
You're the kind of boss everyone dreams of working as you treat everyone as friends and family. You've been able to create so much loyalty amongst your employees by how you set the example and how well you treat them and include them in all aspects of work and off time. Don't change much and continue to surround yourself with good people and friends. And Garrett, dude, you have so much natural talent. Good luck in future endeavors.
I was a chef and I had a 100 seat Cafe, when I started I was like Gordon Ramsey, way to strict and a jerk, and the employees were meh, just going through the motions. Then i decided to genuinely treat them like family, love them like brothers and sisters and the place exploded with business, profit for myself and even more for my new family of workers. I made payroll bigger than profit, and in turn they were the hardest working team that I could ever dream of. They would kill for me and I would die for them. Then my plan came together for myself, they were graduating from college, some already did, and the place was so legendary the offer finally came. Sold it for 17x what i had in it. Moral of the story is, believe and love your employees, they are the ones who do the work, and in turn the pot of gold will be there. Peace!
Cleeter and the crew are just living the life, and the fact that cleet encourages everyone to use it to get licensed really show what a awesome friend he is! Can't wait to see where the futures take you guys! Maybe I'll get down to the freedom factory to meet you all eventually!

Also for starting your multi engine training in a Baron takes some stones brother! And hell training in a PC12 is so cool, so keep trucking and kill it out there!

The fact that Cleetus shares this stuff with his crew and encourages them to be part of it is outstanding! 👏👍
This channel is seriously something special. This is literally the only channel I have ever followed that I haven't missed a single video since its creation. I seriously enjoy how much Garrett wants to see his boys succeed and enjoy life.
Yup. This is literally the only channel that if I see a new video is uploaded, I will stop what I am doing to watch it because all their videos are awesome. Plus, all the guys on the channel are super cool and super funny, especially George.
Special until someone dies in a plane crash
I respect you for taking it seriously and only showing us when you were confident you could do so safely. At every possible turn Cleetus shows how good of a person he truly is. Always lifting the team up and giving honest credit and support to his guys is top notch. I do not know much about airplanes or aviation in general but seeing how excited George was to be flying a plane and seeing Cleet sharing experiences like that with his crew is something that cant be replaced.
Well said, it would be so easy to hate on the kind of success he's had, but the way he treats people around just makes it fun to watch.
With 32 years of FAA ATC all I can say is I'm proud of you. Don't be afraid of ATC. They are there to help. Good job. Let's go!
2nd.
ATC aren't the ones to worry about, it's snobs watching videos reporting people trying to get their license revoked you have to watch out for.
Now tell me why in the hell the FAA is classifying rc airplanes the same as drones? Basically putting a knife in the side of rc hobby. The FAA needs to worry about full scale issues these days... not some toy airplanes that cause zero issue with manned aircraft.
@@Jmandude5 Follow the FARS and no worries.
@@daysdesignsthe UK is just a bull sh1t. Ruined the hobby. Sub 250g # boring.
First he made faces while shifting now he's making faces while landing lol man the amouny of love and respect I have for this man is crazy. So proud of cleetus for coming so far
Garret is hands down the friend we all wish we had
Hell, he’s the person I wish I was 😆
100%
Hell I wish I had one friend
That pool party at the freedom factory last year looked like so much fun!
Hell ya brother
This is hands down the best UA-cam channel there is. Also George is so lucky that he became part of the team. I feel like his life is so much better doing all these things. Every member of the team is important. Great content every single time. Great job guys.
100% agree. No other channel compares, but I have to say LegitStreetCars isn’t too far behind!
@@ChicagoRob2 Alex is a cool dude
I know George is forever grateful for cleet.
@@karlhopkins713 He’s one helluva mechanic.
@@tannershanksftw his wife probably hates it..always gone..I'm surprised they haven't moved
Dude.. the way you lead your crew to push themselves not only for the fleet of full blown race cars from crown vics to mullet to toast and killa bee then everything in between but also hand them the tools to better they’re own life experiences is so amazing. We all need a boss like you. Thank you for bringing us on this journey. 👍🏻
George was such a proud dad shooting this video. love to see it!
as a massive av geek huge respect for going threw all the training to become a pilot while also doing all the other crazy stuff you do on the channel
Watching George an cleet fly around was so wholesome an had me smiling the whole time so glad you guys share these experiences with us all 🙏🏼
They seem to have become brothers
Imagine how much time gorge could save commuting back and fourth if he got his license !
Man, seeing eveyone happy is such a treat to watch. I'm so glad George ended up with y'all.
Hell yeah brother
X2 brutha,, X2 Garrett Mitchell aka Cleetus McFarland is setting the pace for all we humankind to follow. Be kind and treat everyone with respect.
To have a Boss/Friend like that would be amazing. I'm glad these guys get to have the experience of knowing someone like that.
This warms my heart guys. "We can all be pilots"
This has to be the best channel on youtube. Cleeter just holding down all his friends too. Dang. Love it.
facts
I would LOVE to see you cover the licensing process with one of the guys! I think that would be amazing content, and something people can learn from.
This 👆
Good idea
Plenty of aviation channels out there with that content. Not too many channels with hand built 200+ drag cars. Just my opinion 😁
Could be a second channel video for sure. He could use some more content for that channel
He's Cleetus McFarland to me damn it!
I am so pumped. I have been waiting for real aviation content from you guys. Can we all just stop for a second and comment on what a decent guy Garret is. He genuinely wants these guys to share in his love for aviation. Such a solid human being and has a great giving personality. I can only say I wish I had a friend that said I could fly his plane for only the cost of fuel. I am so excited for what’s to come. Love you guys!!
How much is fuel? Is it aviation fuel or would that engine run on pump fuel?
@@JoeCanon17 Piston engine planes like this one use avgas/aviation gas. It's basically just 100 octane gasoline.
This is my Favorite Cleet Video yet. The trust all of those guys have in each other is amazing. Cleet is a genuine stand up guy. He REALLY means it when he says he wants his guys to use the plane. Also he is 100% serious in saying George can take it home haha
I love how Garrett shares his success with his employees
Peace!
Cletus is seriously awesome. How many bosses offer you the opportunity to learn to fly on the cheap and borrow their plane? Top notch fellow
Cleeter and the crew are just living the life, and the fact that cleet encourages everyone to use it to get licensed really show what a awesome friend he is! Can't wait to see where the futures take you guys! Maybe I'll get down to the freedom factory to meet you all eventually!
I'm proud of you my man, I'm a CFI right now and it makes me so happy to see someone like you get into it, especially find the niche you're in, so best of luck! Also for starting your multi engine training in a Baron takes some stones brother! And hell training in a PC12 is so cool, so keep trucking and kill it out there!
I don't know why I had a stupid ass smile on my face this whole video lol this is great, these guys literally have the best job.
I swear you're the only channel that I watch that truly makes the smile from ear to ear constantly. So happy for cleater
look at George, so happy for everyone all the time
George the hype man! Every single time! Such a fine crew Cleeter got!
I love that my favorite car channels are becoming aviation channels lol. One day I'll get my Helo/Fixed license, but until then, I will happily live vicariously through you. Awesome purchase!!!
Great to see the excitement of the whole team. How many friends, never-mind bosses, are pushing you to fly their new plane. Love to see the aviation content.
Man. Even I was smiling the whole video.
These guys are LIVING.
I need a friend like cleetus guy seems super humbled and down to earth that's awesome side note "not saying I don't have good friends because I do" just saying he's for pushing his friends to achieve greater things and even helping them build a merch line that's dope af
Continues to be an inspiration to us all. Thank you so much! Really. I'm gearing up to start helicopter flight lessons based on the excitement and inspiration I have gotten from, Heavy D, Roman, and you! Every city and town has opportunities for flight instruction. I'm excited and respectful to the seriousness of taking on and learning the endeavor of flying helicopters and fixed wing piloting!
This is so cool! The fact that he said over and over how he wants all his buddies to get their licenses and fly it just shows he much he loves having a good time with his friends.
Cleet’s landing face is almost as epic as his shifting face
Yeah he definitely gets serious when he's landing. I like how he lets out a laugh once he realizes he's stuck the landing.
All I wanna know is, does Cleet ever sleep!?😂Cranks out almost daily content, works on all his machines, goes to events, puts on events, running a business, being a husband and dad, and still manages to learn how to fly. Must be the AG1😂 Absolute incredible man.
Lol this comment should be in one of the AG ads😂
Man, I actually bought some to try cause my wife got on this health kick and it’s actually makes a difference. Tastes terrible though lol

So awesome to see you succeed in aviation and bring this side of adventure to your channel. Been watching you for about 3 years now and this is the plane that sparked my love for flying. Had the privilege to help build one in high school and now working on my private pilot license. So happy for you man!
Man every big adventure cleet goes on I look back and remember right back from the start. Still so humble, nothing has changed, brings all the boys on the adventure with him, encourages and helps them all.
I’m just amazed by it all. Well done cleet, the best example of what a friend should be when they come up
It’s so cool seeing cleetus want his friends to succeed and use the play to get their license and stuff it’s just awesome
He makes money from the videos in case you forgot !
@zzzx xzzz Considering he didn't post anything about him learning because of idiot's, I don't think he's going to post his friends learning so, the same things would happen.😉
@@karlhopkins713 don't worry the crew will get their video time on the channel , besides , using your logic he wouldn't have made a big deal video about flying in the first place ! He's gonna capitalize on every bit of this he can .

Glad to have you on board as a proponent of aviation brother! Welcome the club. See you at Sun n Fun hopefully
I love the fact that you've now decided to take us on your Aviation Journey. I would definitely say it was an Open Secret.
Yeah it was definitely an open secret, but glad he’s showing us some now! Agree aviation should be treated with respect, and 100% agree with him keeping to himself while studying.
@Patrick Burke the for sure.I understand why he was worried. look at so many of these Aviation channels on UA-cam, the haters come running. but at the end of the day, if it is a passion of his, then I don't see why he should be scared of showing it. As he has one of the better fanbases I have seen in years
